I made an appointment for my daughter to have her passport photo taken. I received an email confirmation and a text message confirmation. I attended the appointment and the store was open, but unstaffed. We waited for some time, and nobody showed. We asked at Walmart customer service and were told we were not the only people today who this happened to.

Horrible service. Double booked us and pushed our appointment to a week later. Couldn’t offer me the same size they offered last year... have to order online, gave me the session ID code to do it online, but didn’t give me the password.... have been calling all morning, they don’t answer the phone and the machine does not work, it hangs up before I can leave a message e was offered free prints for being double booked, but it wasn’t written down anywhere so I guess that was a lie.

Kara-Lynn is now managing this location, and she is AMAZING! My Baby Club has turned into a true portfolio with the amount of thoughtfulness and creativity Kara-Lynn put into her shoots. She is always great with our child. She makes sure he is safe while being posed. She can read him well for when he starts getting tired, and optimizes the appointment time. Highly recommended Kara-Lynn.

We were their first customers when they reopened. Our photographer, Shubhit, was amazing. He took beautiful grad pics of my son and his girlfriend, got all the shots we wanted and a few we didn't know we did. My son was stiff and anxious, he loosened him up and let his joy beam through. Truly the best pictures I have of my son. And he managed all this while wearing a mask, keeping his distance, and keeping things sanitized. You would never know it was his first day back. Only offer digital photos, no longer offer print outs for photo shoots, and pushed my son to do more pictures when he was done. Honestly disappointed as about a year and a half ago we were camping in Orillia and found the bear so kids got free photo shoot and got 6-8 good size print out pictures plus all digitals for the same price as they are charging now for just all digitals

After a terrible experience with the Victoria location this one was a breath of fresh air. Both staff members where friendly and funny. Found out that this wasn’t a Walmart company but a local small business. They have been taking in all the stock and equipment from the other locations that have since closed down. I have read some negative reviews here and after dealing with the staff personally I just ask to have patient and understanding as everything takes longer with the covid going on and having to intake all the customers from the closed locations. My husband and I went to get passport photos of our baby daughter at Photos Unlimited in Wal-Mart. The only reason we went there was because the post office next door that charges $10 doesn't take passport photos of babies and we were in a rush. I had already seen the bad reviews of this place online so was wary of what was going to happen. I had called them earlier and was told that they normally charge $29.99 for passport photos but whomever I spoke with indicated that there was a manager's special and today it only costs $14.99. (Note that I had called a number of other businesses earlier and the going rate for passport photos is $14.99 so Photos Unlimited's "sale" was not really a sale.) The photo taking was less than 5 minutes but when it came time to pay the manager tried to upsell us to purchase either a $50 or $180 photo package so that the passport photos would be free (similar experience to other people's reviews). When I we declined the upsell, she insisted the passport photos would now cost $29.99. When I mentioned she had quoted $14.99 on the phone she said that price is only for adult passport photos. Baby passport photos apparently cost double the price at $29.99. My husband called her out for outright lying and in the end we only paid $14.99. However, when I mentioned that London Drugs also takes baby passport photos for $14.99 the manager of Photos Unlimited insisted that nobody else takes baby passport photos and certainly not for $14.99. We ended up going into Wal-Mart and speaking to Customer Service. Apparently, Photos Unlimited leases the space from Wal-Mart but the staff there aren't Wal-Mart employees. However, the Wal-Mart Customer Service staff indicated that $29.99 was way too much and that the photos should only cost $14.99. The lady was trying to rob us! On another note, we also learned that the manager at Photos Unlimited will price match the $10 passport photos for adults that the post office charges. Be sure to ask if you are desperate and end up having to go here. When we got home, I also called London Drugs again just to double verify what the Photos Unlimited manager was telling us. London Drugs certainly does take baby passport photos and charges $14.99, the same price as adult passport photos. Again, the manager at Photos Unlimited bold faced lied. Save yourself the hassle and don't give this place business. Horrible.

Every time asked them - they said it would be ready any minute now as if they dont know what is happening with the photo printing.. but it is a convenient location to get a photo taken if you have stuff to do at walmart or square one..

Really Bad first the lady was standing at the exit of Walmart while I was leaving. She gave me a coupon to get free pictures taken at the photo studi. she was very eager I make a appointment or take pictures the same day but we ended up getting appointment. On the day of the appointment I sent my mother with my kids to take the pictures she suggested i come immediately after the pictures were taken. I rushed from work made it by 5pm the same day. She showed me the pictures which were not great but okay at the same time she said to get them the full package ranged from 179.99 which is so expensive to get 1 picture was 29.95 I asked her to give me time to decide because I thought the photo shots were free and I can take the pictures anywhere to print them. She gave me wrong information and I dont want to ever deal with a lying scam company at least tell the customers we have to purchase from you rather then miss guide them. ABSOLUTELY WASTE OF TIME!! AND DEFINITELY A LADY WHO JUST WANTS TO FILL HER POCKET FAST

My sons are 14 and 16 now. I've been having their portraits taken at Walmart portrait Studios since my oldest was 4 weeks old. For the passed few years Sandra has been the manager in New Glasgow, NS and I insist she's my photographer each time we're in. I'm a very demanding mother and customer. Sandra is patient, professional and accommodating to my needs of perfection wrapped in fun. On arrival to our last session one of my sons was cranky which turned me cranky as well. Sandra said, "Let's reschedule for later in the week. Let's not capture this particular moment and hang it on the wall." We came back a few days later. Everyone was in a great mood and the pictures turned out beautifully. My forever thanks to Sandra.

This location at Shepoard and Victoria is usually low on shoes stock, hats, and sportswear. Not even good selection of shoes unlike other locations such as that of downtown at College Park, and Eglinyon and Warden. But the service is consistent with other location which is excellent.

I went to Walmart Portrait Studio to get a retake of my son's passport photo. We took it before but my husbands fingers were showing because my son is under two and we had to hold him still. Neil was on duty and he did an amazing job. He helped me and everyone else. Honestly for a Friday night at 6pm It was crazy busy he served a family taking a photo shoot with 6 kids 2 adults and than a bunch of other people who had to pick up some photos and than ofcourse me. He was so quick took my sons photo in less than a minute. He was outstanding but the system kept crashing and I felt sorry for him because he was trying to be very calm but I feel he was a bit overwhelmed from all the people waiting. His customer service was excellent he was very professional. the thing I didn't like is it always gets crazy busy there when they least expect it and one person handling everything is a big too much so I recommend having 2 people on staff not only on Weekdays or you will have a lot of complaints from other customers. I went in a total of 2 times the first time the computer didn't take my pictures and she took them 4 times. This is a walk in center so I went in the next Monday and she was very attentive with a client but no one knew I was there for a good 15 mintues. I took my business else where.

Our first photographer didn't show up to our family shoot (we had each taken half days from work) so they rescheduled us another day (Sunday) and again told us that we'd get a call from our photographer on Friday to find out where to meet. Again, we didn't hear from our photographer until we saw she had texted Saturday night after we had already gone to bed, so Sunday morning, we decided to still go. She was sweet, but didn't seem to know much about poses or photography (we ended up searching on Pinterest to get ideas). We were told we'd receive a really good deal to make up for all this confusion. They gave us 10% off, so about $10. Yikes!

More than a year ago, I had portrait photos taken on-location at Queen Elizabeth Park by a photographer from the Photos Unlimited Portrait Studios inside the Walmart at Capilano Mall in North Vancouver. (That studio is permanently closed now.) The photographer, Javid, was awesome -- friendly, creative, patient, professional -- and he took amazing photos! Unfortunately, I lost the link to the website and the password to retrieve my digital photos, life got busy, and I forgot about it. Fast-forward more than a year later and I decided to call this Photos Unlimited location in Surrey to try to access and download my photos. Sneh patiently listened to my dilemma, then searched for and found my files (which was a bit difficult because it had been so long and had been filed by another studio), and sent me a new link. I was so happy! Thanks for the excellent service, Javid and Sneh!

Don’t go for a passport photo. A digital copy cost 33 dollars without cropping it. They don’t even know the size required for Canadian passport photo. They’ll give you a whole body picture and you have to crop it by yourself. Worst place to take a passport picture!

I had the greatest experience with a beautiful and talented young lady at this location today. Her name is Veronica Dawidowski she was so super sweet, gentle and playful with my son. We didn't do an expensive package but the care we got made it seem as if we were spending hundreds. She is A1 in our books and we would love to work with her again.

We had passport photos taken of our infant son last year. We were not told that his white shirt would be a problem, but the passport office almost did not accept the photo. The photographer should have known this restriction. This past weekend, we had family photos taken at a park. It was a beautiful day for photographs. Unfortunately, the photographer that this company sent seemed to have no experience with photographing children. While they were friendly, they seemed to expect our 15-month-old to sit still on command. We got the photos today, and not one of the 67 pictures they took is worth printing. The pictures are simultaneously blurry and noisy. Many of them are overexposed with sunlight washing out much of the image. For some reason, several are in black and white. Terrible images on what should have been an almost perfect day for outside photography. $130 wasted. We recommend you look for another photography company. Edit - Oct 25: We contacted the store directly and the manager agreed that the photos from our first session were not acceptable. He offered to re-shoot the session for free. The new pictures are much better. I have raised my rating from 1 to 3 stars.

Great Photos, Great Price. Sounds like a start of a great review right? That's the problem, it's not about the photos or the price. I'm paying for an experience of getting my photos taken, viewing the photos and applying filters, ordering them and picking them up. Everything else costs them pennies. I don't like the fact that my photographer couldn't even be bothered to take our names, and points at us to sit into positions. I don't like the fact that I was told I would be notified when the photos have arrived (I wasn't) or that they could just use my credit card to pick up the photos that I already paid with (I couldn't). What really made me feel terrible was when I finally got my photos, the lady had with her printed off tons of additional prints ready to go for only $25. I would have loved to get more photos, but sometimes money isn't just available on an instant to purchase things I never requested. I said the words "seems like a waste", and her response was "its only a waste because you didn't buy them" and that's the response that made me feel like yuck, like I was worthless, and that wasn't worth there time. It's bad enough you decide to randomly generate photos of me without my consent, its worse you try to sell them to me last minute when I come to pick up the photos, but its outright terrible that you make me feel lousy for not giving you money for photos I never ordered, was informed about, or was given any options for. You basically just described that the cost of the photos I paid for mean very little to you if you can just print off a whole bunch extras and attempt to sell them to me last minute. Do you understand how much that devalues the price I paid already for these photos? Do you understand how much it makes me feel like I've been ripped off for your "tiered" pricing for the same button clicks on a computer? I don't understand why a company that is 99% service 1% product would conduct business practices like this and I just hate that there is nothing I can do about it. So hopefully someone can take from my experience and consider another place for photos. "Its not what you do or how you do it, its how you make someone feel about what you do and how you do it that someone is going to remember" Now I have photos that each time I look at them, will remember the lousy experience. Thanks for taking something that was suppose to be a wonderful gift and experience into something that will just bring back memories of me being belittled and worthless as a customer.

I really wish I could give a negative rating. 1 is still doing justice. I called to make an appointment the day before. I showed up 15 minutes early after taking an excuse from my kids school. They said they open at 10am but at 10.45am no one was yet to show up???? This is grossly unacceptable, unfair and wicked. My whole day was messed up and all my plans for the day shattered. I will never be returning here and I will make sure to tell EVERYONE about my negative experience!!!

My daughter find there bear that they hide throughout the store that you get a deal on one of the photos. She took it back and the lady was very rude to her and said that she couldn't get the coupon or whatever it was for the deal that they had. Will never go there again.

I paid 30+ dollars for bad pictures and I want my money back I would have let this slide but when I ask for a reprint your clerk refuse to listen and read the dimensions of the pictures and on top of that even when I said I would pay again she play ignorant and condescending. Save your money and go to STAPLES half the price with better quality and nicer staff.

What a huge ripoff this place is. $29.95 for a passport photo is ridiculous! It cost us $67 (with tax) for two passport photos for our children. Had I known this I never would have gone there. I sincerely hope this message helps others to avoid getting ripped off like we did.

I had passport photos taken here today for an international driver's permit. I was shocked when saw them - they were aweful. I was even more shocked when I was asked to pay nearly $32.00 for these. I recall getting passport photos here in 2015 for about $15.00. After a bit of complaining they honored the price match for staples and I got a $16.00 refund. I honestly thought this photo centre was part of Walmart - they have the same blue and yellow colour scheme. In any case if you want passport photos done, go elsehwere. I am told Walmart corporate will be offering passport photo service in their photo section very soon.
