They are over priced not sympathetic to individual circumstances. I paid 375 as session fee and I was convinces by Teri to purchase canvas for 1800. My appointment is for Jan 2021, and when trying to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, I was told the fee is non refundable even though they can make the exception if they wanted to. Alishba, gave me prices if I wanted choice pics..., for 3 pics 1200.., 8 for 1800 and 20 for 2500????? This is insane!!! They are not about making woman feel special if they can’t make the money!! That is what it’s really about!!!

I don’t think it would be possible to get a better experience. Terri on the phone is a delight throughout the booking process and even after. Once you get to the studio, Alishba will become your best friend for the day. She is a kind gentle person who would make the most self conscious person comfortable. Maya, the makeup artist, will make you look your best and she is the sweetest to unwind with before your shoot. 10/10 would recommend. :)

I filled out a form for a consult, I didn’t think I would get called multiple times after receiving pricing info after explicitly stating I was not ready to book and I would reach out once I felt mentally ready to drop money on a WANT and not a NEED. After multiple relentless calls, I had to block the number. Stop hounding people, they will book when they are ready or they won’t, and you shouldn’t continue reaching out, because then it just looks super disingenuous and sales oriented. How many times can I politely say I’ll contact you when I’m ready? And to try psychology like “let’s start your healing??” Come on ladies…we can do better. At the end of the day I know at it’s core it’s a business…clearly trying very hard to generate income.

The space was clean and warm, and I felt zero inhibitions being in my lingerie in front of her or in the space. There is zero body shaming, only positivity - which was very important to me and in making my experience a good one. In this crazy time of covid I was expecting an easier time when I called to cancel my appointment. Due to me having 2 major underlining conditions and feeling unsafe to have people touch me and go out in public, I called to cancel my appointment. Also, I was doing this photo shoot for my fiancé. We were supposed to be married this July but it was canceled. Unfortunately they will not do any refund. I paid the full amount at the time of booking which is $475.00 2 1/2 months ago. Which I was asked to pay upfront the day I had my phone consultation. I’m not happy about this as I put it on my credit card and have been paying interest on it. Very unprofessional and not sympathetic at all. May I add, she did not even call me herself, she had someone else do it.

"This was something so totally out of my comfort zone. If you were to tell anyone who knew me that I was going to be doing a photo shoot with Dream Boudoir, I promise they would think you were joking. This was unlike anything that I had ever experienced. It was also nothing like what I had expected. Yes, I was extremely nervous and at the same time very excited. I was about to enter into an enviroment of total vulnerability with a total stranger. Upon arrival, after a quick introduction to Alishba, I was sat down and made ready to experience the luxury of having my make up and hair professionally done by one of there highly qualified artists. She was amazing. She could tell of my nervousness, and was every encouraging of what i was about to embark upon and was a great asset to helping me to relax and take it all in. This was my day, just for me, and I was going to savor every minute of it. After hair and make up. It was time to go through my outfits and choose 3 changes. I must have come with about 6 outfits, unsure of which one I was going to choose. But not to worry, Alishba, was very helpful with my desicion making and together we picked what turned out to be the 3 perfect outfits. The camera started clicking and I was instructed on how to pose and before I knew it, we were done and it was time to view the photos. When I saw those pictures, I was in disbelief of who that person was. It was me! A version of me I had never seen before. It literally brought tears to my eyes. The lighting, the angle and the beauty that was capture in those photos was utterly breathtaking. This experience changed me. With daily life being what it is, I really needed something. This experience far exceeded that something for me. I am so proud of myself for deciding to do this and highly recommend and ultimately wish for any woman to feel what I felt that day. I highly recommend Dream Boudoir Photography. When you sign up for your photo shoot they guide you through lingerie choices, skin care prior to your shoot, when to do your manicure, waxing, tanning etc. I found the be sure to stretch every day a little strange but in hind sight I should of stretched more. The day starts with hair and make up, discussing what kind of look you are trying for. They play great music in the background and are understanding when you can’t always stretch a certain way to create a look, but they help you either work around it or through it. I just saw my proofs today and I look stunning. Alishba and Maya are fantastic women that know that every woman has a story and they listen to yours with interest and compassion if required. They are both women’s rights activists and they should be honoured for their work with women within the world and the work with the women that come to the studio. I wish every woman had the opportunity to experience this, at the end of the day, you feel empowered and beautiful! I would give them 10 stars if I could. I had seen the ad for this studio on social media and it appeared to be a reputable business. I wanted to do a session with my husband for our anniversary so I messaged for information and was called very quickly by whom I assume is an assistant. I wasn't sure with the pandemic if it was financially wise to book as they werent even open, but after repeated calls from the assistant I proceeded to have the interview and talk about booking. I was recorded during this interview and was asked some questions about myself and provided some info on how the session would work. I was advised that most people ON AVERAGE spend an additional $2500-$4000 on average on prints after and that I needed to pay $375 now to book and that would cover the session and hair/makeup. I informed assistant that it was out of my reach to spend that much on prints and that I would prefer to pay for digital copies, to which she replied that she will follow up with photographer to make that happen and that either way they offer payment plans. The week before I was sent a contract to sign that indicated there was a $2500 MINIMUM order required following the $375 session. This was never disclosed to me and I have not signed anything to date. The booking lady danced around cost and never informed me of a minimum order. I then tried to call and let them know we could not afford that at this time and they cancelled my appointment without any further discussion and couldn't be bothered to call me back to let me know they were keeping my money. The assistant has been dodging me since. She keeps saying the photographer will call me back but they will not refund my $375. I offered to even take a lower amount back, say 75%, and they just won't return my calls. The reality is the assistant omitted the part about a minimum order and slam sold me. I am not sure if she makes a commission off of how many clients she gets the photographer, but for a company surrounding female empowerment you would think the owner would want to follow up on such claims. She has never reached out to me despite my repeated attempts to discuss and they are refusing to provide me a copy of the recording where the assistant claims she told me this. Ladies don't let the assistant slam sell you because I lost nearly $400 from it. July 16th, 2021 Update - since I am unable to reply to response from owner. Shame on you for taking my feedback and deflecting it to make it seem like bullying when this is my experience with your company. You seem to be the one trying to bully anyone who leaves you a negative review. Also I partly blame myself for booking with your company as I should have known from the incessant calls and texts from your assistant to get me to book that something wasn't right. We have worked with at least 5+ studios and photographers and never seen anything like this. I have copies of all texts and every single one is kind and appropriate, also you have never spoken to me directly not once so how you can make it seem like you know my intentions to default or that I am bullying. It's laughable that you feel you accommodated me as all I have done is book a session with you, which part of that is considered going above and beyond? These calls you had to clarify are your refering to when I was being slam sold because I havent gotten a call since. I stated above you did not disclose minimum order, and if I had signed that contract and seen it early on, why would you resend it to be signed a week before the session? Also it's against the privacy act to withhold a recording. I still am in awe that a customer trying to work with you regarding a miscommunication is considered the customer being a bully and that the only time you have answered me is here. I guess the next step is the BBB to try to resolve the issue since your tactics are very childish for a business owner. As for rebooking I again am in awe that you world write that here after you ghosted me. I am a huge supporter of small businesses but not one's that are not clear in their fees.

My fiance booked a photo session in February for April 10th. She paid in full for service almost $500. Towards the end of March, this appointment was mutually cancelled and rebooked for June due to Covid-19. April 3rd an email was sent to cancel the June appointment. My fiance was received a call the next day to discuss further. It was explained that the session was for a wedding gift and since our wedding has been postponed, she wanted a refund and would rebook once we had better idea of timing. She was told at that time that no refund would be given and that she would receive a credit for a further session. The person she spoke to was very unprofessional with very poor customer service skills. Alternate avenues for refund are being sought. Is this your companies policy NOT to provide refunds? Shame on you. We will be sure to use an alternate service for our photo shoot.
