We LOVED every minute of it! This was the very first time out family did something like this where we had to dress up and go get our photos taken. From the very minute we walked into the Artage Studio we were warmly welcomed and greeted. All the staff were so sweet and helpful, they really carried out our needs and wishes thoroughly! My family is not the easiest to photograph. After checking out their work on a recommendation, we brought in Artage to do an extended family picture with 5 squirmy kids and 7 adults. It was NOT easy, kind of like herding cats. But in an hour, Heidi managed to photograph over a dozen different groupings outdoors, and kept us smiling and laughing; the results are so natural and really stunning...how she used the natural light was really unexpected and creative--it was cool to have a photographer who knows how to break the rules! Later, In the order session in their cozy studio, she made the difficult choices a little easier by helping us to visualize what the end product would look like on our wall. We all agreed as a family that we would buy the beautiful canvas pieces as major Christmas gifts for one another; and we are SO glad we did. Each of our families has a shot of the entire extended family plus a grouping of different artsy shots. Honestly we look like models out of a catalogue. Everyone who comes over is blown away by the images, and I tell them not to bother with any other photographer!

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Heidi, Joy and Victoria were friendly, thoughtful and fun. If it weren’t for the Covid restrictions, I would have given them each a hug when we left. The portrait artist was so patient with our small children and there was even a special room for them to stay occupied while we took time to review the photos. I cannot wait to see the final product. It’s an experience - AND you get to make something that you and your family can enjoy for many years. Additional note - we felt extremely comfortable and the team takes a lot of time to sanitize between sessions and to separate everyone.

Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The ambience of the studio is warm and inviting. The photographer does a great job in putting everyone at ease and makes it an enjoyable experience. Even cynical teenagers didn't complain at the end of the process! We have not yet received our portraits so can not yet comment on the final product but the process so far has been extraordinary. Would highly recommend. Addendum: We have now received our portraits and they are far beyond our expectations. When you go into the studio and see portraits of strangers in the gallery, the portraits look very well done but it really can not compare to when you see your own family in the portraits. It is not a narcissistic feeling at all but rather a sense of family and belonging. Teenagers like how they look in the portrait but don't yet appreciate the deeper sense that they will likely acquire when they are older and perhaps when they inherit the portrait. Again, would likely recommend.
