Great place, and very friendly staff. They let me test out an expensive lens before I purchased it, they also let me try different high end cameras I was considering to buy. This is my go to place when I buy something important for my photography business. All that being said, they don't have the best selection, it's good just not great.

It is a great place to go if you want to buy photography equipment. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they will give you reasonable recommendations and suggestions. I have been there three times to buy my camera and two lenses and I’m very happy to be there every time.

We went for new born photo ???? . The camera person chris was very unprofessional and picture was not satisfactory. So we when again ( also paid again ) to get second picture telling him how to do it. Will never advise anyone or recommend anyone .

We have been very pleased with our two visits here. We go to get prints made from cell phone pictures. We are dealt with knowledgeably in getting advice on our choices and are pleased with all results. These days we all have lots of pictures on our phones. We take real pleasure in printing our best and hanging them up. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Honestly the best store ever! Staff are so helpful and willing to teach or help with any questions or problems you have! They helped me understand the functionality of my Nikon D5200 and walked me through all of the manual functions. They were super understanding as I asked all my stupid amature questions! They never pressured me to buy anything just were 100% open to teaching there art and suggesting different tools and setting or accessories to use that would help for the type of photography I was looking for! They also took great passport photos for me at the common rate! Overall every time I've visited it's just been a 100% great experience and will continue to use them as my one stop photography shop!! I've only visited this store ever so rarely. But I feel that this store is not getting enough credit for their hard work and excellent customer service. I visited without a hint of buying anything because I was not too sure of the products I wanted to get until I found one. As I continue to browse for more items, Gib (one of the employees and pardon if I mispelt) was knowledgeable and helpful with the items I've mentioned. I've decided to purchase a product and return for some items I would need in the near future. I've been to a lot of camera stores and not are as friendly nor knowledgeable about their own products. 5/5 I will definitely return to this store and would recommend it to anyone who's pro or just starting out.

Excellent service and great recommendations. Brought in a 100+ year old photo printed on smooth rag paper and coloured with pastels. Ashley took a museum quality photograph and gave me tiff and jpeg files. Recommended the smooth rag with laminate. The prints look exactly like the original. Had the framing gentleman add a rounded matt to push original away from glass in origial frame. Gorgeous. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Go here.

Walked into Photo Central last night looking for an extra battery for my camera (that I didn't purchase there, by the way, *gulp*). The sales person there went to great lengths to get me a battery after learning I had been to 4 other places to find one. I was confused about something regarding my camera as a new DSLR user and he took the time to explain something to me that I was struggling to understand, and explained it perfectly. Then he pulled out a trade-in lens that would achieve EXACTLY what I was looking for and sold it to me for an extraordinary deal! I left absolutely thrilled with my experience. I stopped in yesterday and was pleased to find Photo Central had stock in the type of Macro lens I was looking for. Other leading photo shops I checked in this city have little stock in expensive lenses and you are faced with a 4-6 week wait to order anything. Photo Central looks well equipped and staff are knowledgeable. I picked up the lens I wanted and cleaning kit, and I was on my way. I think I'll come back. G

Photocentral is my go to for anything photography related and also for renting lenses. I rarely ever need to go to a camera store but when I do, they are my first choice. Friendly and knowledgeable staff make for a comfortable and relaxed shopping experience. As one other reviewer posted, camera people without the snobbery! The store is setup nicely and they have a variety of gear for everyone...Pros and amateurs. Highly recommend them!

What a great group of people! Came in on a Wednesday to print off some photos from a photo shoot to send out for Christmas. They told me it would take 3-4 business days as it was Christmas’s season and they were quite busy. I was stressed as I needed the photos to be shipped out by Friday to arrive in time for Christmas. I expressed this to the gentleman helping me and he told me he would leave a note on my file indicating that they needed to be ready by 5pm on Friday. He was very understanding and helpful, and expressed how he also was going to be scrambling around to finish his Christmas shopping. The very next day (Thursday), I was sent an email informing me they were ready! Incredible service! I highly recommend this place for your photo needs! They really helped put me at ease and came though for me in a pinch!

One of the best photography stores around! The team at Photo Central really know their stuff and are always helpful in finding just what I need! Stock is somewhat limited, which is understandable for a small shop on the prairies but I'd love to see more of the big brands and inventory on-hand for ad-hoc events and such. Overall I love this little gem, highly recommended if you're searching for photo or video gear and have hard-to-answer questions!
