I went in to the store to purchase a Nikon D5200 today. I had done my boxing day shopping around Lethbridge the day before and got no information from any of the other stores. All it I got were high school kids reading information off a tag. As soon as I walked into McBain I was greeted and was offered assistance. I didnt have to go looking for help. The staff at McBain Camera were able to answer all my questions about the camera, help me to choose an extra lens and some assorted accessories. The gentleman that helped me didnt try to push or sell me items I wouldn't use, need or overwhelm me with information. Even with my basic knowledge of cameras (point and shoot & Iphone) he never got irritated with my newbie questions and was very patient. After it was all done they made sure I knew I could come in or call with any questions or assistance I needed. Best of all they had the best price in town (and online) on the set up I purchased. Over all I am very happy with the service, price, and purchase at McBain Camera. It is nice to get service from people who actually use a DSLR camera and have hands on experience. They will be our first stop for our camera needs from now on.

I was traveling to the Lethbridge area from Vermont and I forgot my battery charger at home. I used up my Lumix battery taking pictures at the Alberta International Air Show at Lethbridge (highly recommended). I stopped at McBain and they offered to charge my battery at no cost. Really cool and helpful people. They obviously understand not only cameras but also customer service. These are the folks to do business with in Lethbridge.

Always a great experience, the staff know their stuff and are helpful for ALL your photography questions. Glad they don't push you to more than you can afford either - this is especially important in a camera store. Because yes you can spend, and spend and spend but it might not always fit your needs. I would highly recommend them over the crappy box stores, for this very reason, and I'm sure they'll match box store prices too... Cant beat that!

We went to get photos taken here for a visa (not passport photos). The staff member who "helped" us wasn't to interested in doing a good job. He was rushing for no reason. We had to retake the photos and in the end they didn't meet the specifications that we had given him (even the second time)

Ordered me a lense, didn't bother to order it... 3 weeks later I call to inquire to see if it has arrived. There is no history of my order. Today's salesperson shrugs his shoulders and tells me can't do anything for me as there none left. So much for shopping local for Christmas when they can't admit to their mistake nor attempt to follow through on the order I placed.
