I first came across Alexandra Hunt on Facebook. I was on the search for an experienced maternity and newborn photographer in the Lower Mainland. What stood out for me was Alexandra's work...her beautiful airy and light photos. Also, I had the chance to read her biography section and it was touching to read her story of her journey to motherhood. I contacted Alexandra and had a response immediately. She was very professional and the contract was detailed enough where all questions were answered. Upon meeting Alexandra for the maternity session, my family and I were greeted with a smile and she welcomed us into her beautiful studio. She was friendly and somehow magically got my toddler to laugh and smile (this has never happened before especially with strangers). She has a lovely studio...a closet full of gowns and accessories. She helps you pick out the outfits and notices small things during the shoot like fixing your hair and pointing out how to pose. A sneak peek is available to view the next day and I was so pleased and excited to see more. I received the session photos under the 2 weeks time frame and couldn't be more pleased. I am in awe at how she managed to capture beautiful and intimate moments between my family and I. She is worth every penny and more for the memories I will have for a lifetime. I look forward to the newborn photos to come when my little one arrives. I highly recommend Alexandra Hunt photography!

Alexandra is very thorough and sees to every detail is met during your sessions, and provides a lot of guidance and information beforehand as well. She provides maternity and postpartum outfits for mom, and outfits for newborns. I did not have to worry about finding an outfit for one time use, or worrying about anything other than ensuring my hair and make up were done. Alexandra has always been very communicative and takes the time to answer questions, as well as provides reminders and updates. We had a great experience with Alexandra, and have already booked subsequent sessions for 2020 with her! Our photos that we received were all amazing and gives us something to reflect back on for years to come.

Wonderful experience and perfect photos ! Our son was one month and we got some amazing photos wide awake and sleeping also, welcomed with a private room with everything you could possibly need!! She has a massive selection of swaddles, outfits, furs and props. Such a calming environment and gentle touch, she really is a baby whisperer. We also got to take breaks for feeding when needed !

Alexandra is wonderful! I was so worried about going ahead with pictures with the given concerns around Covid-19. Alexandra made her policies quite clear and answered any questions that I had. On the day of the photoshoot she was very professional and did a great job of working with me and my daughter while socially distancing. She was incredibly patient with my daughter, who was not in the mood for photos after having an off morning and missing her nap. She took amazing photos and got some great smiles out of my cranky baby! I also really appreciated that I got my copies of the photos reasonably quickly. We had our twin girls newborn photos taken with Alexandra and I’m so glad we chose her! She is definitely the baby whisperer as I have read as my babies were so calm and comforted so well. The studio set up was great! There were so many props, colours, set ups, headbands and most of them were all handmade and exclusive to her clients! The photos were so beautiful and I’m so in love with them. Alexandra was able to capture the most precious moments and my only regret was not choosing her for my maternity photos!

She welcomed us into her cozy and well organized studio and showed us our room where toys (for our 2 and 4 years old), snacks and water was provided. got my older daughters photos done about 1 year and 11 months ago. decided to use her again a month ago for my new daughter because the photos turned out amazing. it was my fault i did not read her new packages fully that i will acknowledge. i did think i was paying for 10 photos but i was only paying for 8 apparently (not realizing until after i paid) yes that was my fault. 1 year and a half ago i paid 100.00 less for 2 more photos. AND to upgrade to the 10 photo package i still had to pay over 100.00 for TWO photos...i understood it was my fault but it was pretty upsetting. In one year and 11 months the price had doubled for the 10 photo package. once i received the downloads to my surprise i was not able to pick the photos i wanted.... yes it says its up to the photographer to pick but i assumed that meant it was up to her to pick the ones that go into the gallery not all the pictures in my package. when i got my older daughters photos done a year and a half ago i was able to pick which ones i wanted and even paid for additional photos. this was the most disappointing part and now i regret using her as a photographer. i was expecting to be able to pick the ones i wanted and instead now she changed her rules to her choice of photos not mine. i sent an email stating how i was pretty upset and i wasn't aware i wasn't able to pick them and it was the generic "thats our new rules" disappointed in the new "photographers pick", disappointed in the expensive photo packages. pleased with the photos but was wanting more options considering i paid quite a bit for only 8 photos. will not be going back prices are way to high for what you get. photos turned out great but in reality not worth it for me considering all the reasons stated above. and the main reason was i was unable to pick the photos because i wanted some without her smiling and matching my other daughters photos but all the ones i received she was smiling.

She handled our baby so well that we just sat back and relaxed. Our baby didn’t cry at all as Alexandra is so skilled in handling babies she was very patient and would quietly change the outfits for the different poses and our daughter didn’t fuss or wake up. Her photos are great not blown away amazing. She is to sensitive, rude and over reacts to such simple things. It makes me upset just thinking about therthe experience I had with her. I didn't even want to bother arguing with her, she comes off as the type that you will just be going back and forth and not getting anywhere. We booked both our maternity photos as well as newborn pictures with Alexandra and we were just blown away with the pictures! The whole experience was so seamless, she provides a lot of guidance prior to the sessions to ensure you know what to expect and bring. She also allows you to pick gowns from her gallery prior to your appointment for both the maternity and newborn session and for the newborn session, she has TONS of different pieces and backdrops all set throughout the studio! We were amazed at how many different tiny little knit pieces and headbands she had! Her customer service and the way she handled our 1 week old little baby was amazing and being able to put her in all these cute adorable poses is an art! She gave us ample time to change our baby’s diaper, and feed her mid session to ensure our baby was comfortable and did not rush us at all. Alexandra is an absolute gem! I’ve recommended her to all my friends and family and everyone is in awe of the pictures and we just cannot thank her enough! When I was pregnant I started looking at different photographers portfolios. I came across Alexandra Hunt Photography and knew immediately that I wanted to book with her. Her portfolio showed such creativity, beauty and elegance. As I was expecting twins, I was thrilled to see she had experience photographing multiples. I booked with her and learned that she had her own set a twins!!! With my journey, my twins arrived into the world at 31weeks and were in NICU for 83days. Alexandra was very accommodating with my situation. When the twins were finally discharged, she booked our newborn photo shoot immediately. At the photo shoot she was very welcoming and wasting no time getting started. She had a variety of props to use, we didn't need to bring anything. The babies didn't seem to care at all how she was positioning them, that's how gentle she was. Alexandra made the shoot feel not rushed, allowed us time feed them and change diapers. Within two weeks we got our photos back from her and we love every single one of them. She captured such beautiful shots of the twins. I'm so thankful that we booked with her. Just had my maternity pictures done at Alexandra's studio and could not be happier with the experience or result. Alexandra was so professional and easy to work with during the shoot and the time leading up to the shoot itself. I was concerned that our session would get cancelled due to Covid but Alexandra reassured me and my husband that the studio was adhering to government recommendations and social distancing would be maintained and it was in her beautiful, bright and clean studio. When we contacted her to get pricing, she emailed back within in half an hour and we were booked for our appointments within in a day! The whole process was so easy and enjoyable!
