This is for Bill and his wife. The most memorable trade me and my mom made. I was in an abusive relationship and was engaged to the man. After we broke up, I kept his rings. I’ve been married to another man for 2 years now, but we didn’t have enough money to buy a nice ring. I went into this store without really thinking about getting anything. I saw a bridal set I absolutely fell in love with and knew it was my ring. It fit perfectly and everything. We did some negotiating and my mom did trade a few more pieces of jewelry. They took such bad memories away from me with this trade. In a sense, there empathy was so amazing that it didn’t even feel like I was doing business, it felt like I was buying a ring from friends. Thank you to Bill and his wife. I will never forget this purchase because I wear it every single day. You don’t know how much you changed my life. I no longer have any items of his remaining. I was a day late picking up an item I had on a 30 day buy back. I went into the store earlier in the week stating; I would pay the extension fee the coming Friday. Due to my business schedule I had been called out of town a day after. I didn't not return until late Friday evening. I went into the store on the Saturday to pay the fee. I was basically informed my item was "gone"!! Basically the owner is a thief! I have to say he took advantage of my situation at the time; I was shocked as he seemed like an honest fair man on the surface; what does this situation say about a person? The former owner Fred was a gentlemen, prior to my dealings with the new owner. I was late by weeks at one time. My items where still in his possession, he calculated the late fees . I paid him receiving my items back. He still made money and I obtained my items back. Very fair, the new owner prejudged me as I strongly didn't believe him that my item was gone! I will be pursuing recourse due to the unethical business practice used.

Trader joes is the most paying pond shop in oshawa. They dont make you feel like you are being ripped off for anything it is you are trying to sell them or put it in on a buy back. They offered a decent deal on items I brought in during relatively tough times. Fair loan, fair estimate on the items. Were willing to work with me with the occasional hiccup, and it should be noted that this is a fast paced market so keep your communications up to date no matter what. They were friendly, empathetic and didn't make me feel second class. Lots of items in the store. Having used all their services(buying selling etc,) I can say they are the best I've seen.

Sold off some of my old music equipment. I didn't have to wait to make the transaction. The guy doing the buying was swift and cordial. I hoped to get an extra $200 out of it, but it is a pawn shop. So if you want to list stuff on kijiji for months, maybe you'll get a better deal. What I was given for what I offered was more than fair given the circumstances. Not even 5 minutes of wheeling and dealing, and the cash was in my hand. I got sick and tired of being low-balled online, I didn't get there at Trader Joe's.

I love this little pawn shop/second hand store. Don't let it's size deceive you. There's a lot of close to or even new merchandise. They're also the most fair and reasonable people that ensure you're getting the highest dollar amount for your stuff. It's the prices that keep me coming back. I haven't sold anything yet but what I've purchased, I've probably saved over $1000.00 and what I've purchased was all new in the original packaging and factory plastic wrappings. Don't waste your time here, all the 5 star reviews are fishy and possibly fake/paid, the store is very small and they will offer nothing on your products just like the Hockshop. I had a few gold rings that I don't need but haven't sold because I don't need the money really but they're just locked away collecting dust.. last time I asked another shop what they pay per gram it was so little that I would just rather keep them! Today I went into Trader Joe's and was pleasantly surprised to hear they pay almost four times what the last place I asked was paying ???? Had a great experience with the people at trader joe's. Was going through a rough time financially so sold my flat screen tv. When cash connection gave me a quote of 150 for the 55 inch flat screen. Trader joe's offered me 250 and gave me even more when they knew my situation. Ive been stuck in a rut and didnt have much to offer except for a watch that was $600 new current condition was worth a out $150 and just cause he wanted to be helpful he gave me $200 on buy back and as long as i promised to buy it back... he didnt have to do it he didnt know me other then from being a customer... he fixed my life that day.... i wouldnt have been able to recover ... thankfully they were there to help.... thanks for everything man

Writing a review for trader joe's in North Oshawa. This store is amazing. Not only do the pay top dollar for my gold and silver but they also offer the lowest monthly interest rates when you are planning try to get your item back. I was paying 30% per month at other places and Trader joe's only charge 25%. 10kt 14kt 18kt gold they pay the most anywhere I've been. The owners are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Gold, silver, anything that's got to be the spot you go first and last. Highly recommend them!!

Great experience - had some old jewelry from my childhood and realized it was just sitting in my jewelry box. So I went 'googling' for a local place that could determine if it was worth more as gold or as individual pieces of jewelry. I found exactly the right place! This is not the same Trader Joe's from 5 years ago or more. The current owner has opened the place up and there is a lot of great items for sale. No more junk! I decided to go in yesterday and I'm glad I did.I had some specialty tools I no longer needed, even though the items would not be a quick sale they were still willing to buy them for a fair price. They are courteous, knowledgeable and fair. I recommend going in and checking it out. There's some great deals and if you are looking to pawn an item you will be treated right.

Even what they have for sale is very reasonably priced and fair. My experience was with selling gold and I highly recommend this spot. To start, it is family owned and run and they are super polite. I was selling my moms old gold for her and had done as much research as possible on my pieces so I knew what I had and what it was worth. One thing to note is that many other gold places have positive reviews but they are all from buyers. If you are selling, look carefully for selling reviews as both experiences can differ greatly. They tested / weighed everything in front of me and were very patient with my many questions along the way. They offered me a very fair value (more than I had even anticipated based of my research) and I left feeling good about the transaction.
