I was amazed at how smooth and streamlined the entire process was from booking to getting my final edits. When behind the lenses, Fiona works complete magic, the hardest part was selecting the final pictures because her shots are so good. Not to mention, the detail she put in the final edits, which truly showcases the skill Fiona has in her craft. When Ashley told me she was getting married, she sounded so excited but nervous at the same time. She then proceeded to tell me that her wedding was in less than 2 weeks! Couldn't believe my ears!! Fast forward now to just days before, and all the last minute details: no photographer booked. We debated: dare we try to DIY with selfies? That's when I contacted Hazel Productions. Once again, couldn't believe my ears! Despite the last minute notice, they re-worked their schedule to fit-in my niece's wedding - I was thrilled !! We had Hazel Productions shoot my parents' 50th wedding anniversary (a 2-day event last summer at Spencer's on the Waterfront) ... the photos were amazing!!! Everyone that attended still comment today on how relaxed they were. Especially for Fiona: her photo shooting was seamless, like she wasn't even there. The end result was natural, candid pictures. Fiona shot Ashley's wedding. But this time I couldn't be there, so when Fiona captured those little details of her special day, it meant so much to me. She even surprised us with a video 'highlite' reel using Ash's & Ab's favourite songs. I cried. Thank you Fiona, for the beautiful photos, and for how quickly you had them ready for us to view on your photo gallery -- the timing couldn't be more perfect, as we enjoyed the last long weekend of a fabulous summer!

I was thinking of giving Hazel Studios a 4.5 review, since the result of my headshot session with Fiona did not result in a photo with a strong likeness to Brad Pitt. In fairness, however, I had not provided her with the basic materials to pull that kind of rabbit out of her hat. What she did, however, was deliver an honest, intuitive rendering that had the professionalism of a headshot, but some of the warmth and personality usually associated with a portrait. Not sure how she did that! People have commented that this photograph must have been taken by someone that knew me pretty well. I'm fine with that assessment.

She charged me $350 for just two photos. And she never agreed to any discount and made me pay in full even before I got the photos. When I saw the photos and said that I didn’t like one of them she said I am sorry I can’t help you. I am like what the ___. $350 is not a joke. This was a waste of money and her policies are messed up. Actually my shot through iPhone was much better and I took 10 shots and picked which ever I liked. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
