Majority of parents attending Thompson Rivers University (TRU) graduation ceremony are from out of town (as far as Toronto, Prince Edward, saskatchewan, .... etc) to celebrate their son and daughter's convocation. TRU had a prominent guest, The Honorable Wally Oppal to present the newly Graduates with their hard earned certificates. The University, parents, and students put in numerous hours and hard work just to give Graduates a once in a life time opportunity to share this proud achievement in their life with their family. This single moment will be treasured for a lifetime by a picture that was taken by a professional photographer.
That would have been the ideal situation, however, the treasured moment of the newly Graduates having their pictures taken was ruined by Tyler Meade Photography. Many photos were taken without consideration, care, or commitment. the photos captured Graduates walking away from or approaching the Honorable guest, Mr. Oppal as well as pictures of students with their eyes closed. Photos were taken at the worst moments when the Graduates were not ready. How can a professional photographer not realize the errors and mistakes when taking photos with a camera? How can a photographer be so unprofessional and not show due diligence especially during a special moment in life for the students who devoted all their time and efforts just for that one proud moment. I may not be a professional photographer but even I know of the do's and the don't s for photography.
If I had to rate Tyler Meade Photography from a scale of 1 - 5, I have practical reasons to rate them (-6)... That's a MINUS SIX and that photographer should have its company name changed to Meathead Photography which is a more honest reflection of their photography skills and services.

Respond to Owner's comment:
I am not a professional photographer but how do you define an award presentation photo?
1. Award presenter (The Honorable Wally Oppal) & award receiver (the grad) standing close together facing the camera with the award in front of them and the picture is taken
2. Award presenter (The Honorable Wally Oppal) walked to the left & award receiver (the grad) walked to the right with award already in hand and the picture is taken
The general public would define an award presentation photo as number one but you took some photos shown as number two. Your response by explaining you only have a few seconds of window to take the photo so to me, it is understandable that either of the people in the photos had their eyes closed. But, grad walking away from the stage or approaching the award presenter????? What are you doing???? Are you not focusing in doing your job? I feel really sorry for those students!!!!!
