Ashley was amazing from the very first email! She told me about the session, clearly laid out what to expect and shared helpful hints to have baby ready; which I truly loved because I’m a planner. She met us promptly outside her studio, and even had a welcome sign on the door for us. The studio itself is a cute remodel barn and it’s cottage beach feel is warm and welcoming with its neutral monochromatic decor. There’s a wide variety of outfits and some great toys to help baby stay entertained. She was patient and wonderful with my 11 month old letting him feel out the new space and get comfortable with her. Ashley was personable and easy to talk to which made for a overall great experience with a relaxed vibe which shows in the pictures. Her work is truly amazing, she captured my sons natural state, the things I’ll forget as he grows, the look on his face while he plays or the way he holds an object. I’ve had many shoots over the last 18 months to mark our journey of becoming a family and I have to say I’ve never had this much trouble choosing my edits. I think that speaks volumes of her work, she really is a great photographer capturing that real life vibe. Ashley was wonderful to work with through our sitter session with our 7 month son. She was easy to reach out to for questions or concerns, if needed. I was really interested in going to a studio since our baby would be reaching certain milestones during the winter season. Her studio was beautiful and comfy and made us totally at ease during the shoot. The space felt very personal and intimate, compared to the more commercial/public studios. She provided several clothing options and toys for our little one. Everything was ready to go as we arrived. When we had to briefly stop to feed our baby, she accommodated us the whole way through. She allowed us to freely interact with our son behind her if needed to capture his attention. There were no pressures to purchase beyond our wants (through we did end up buying the whole gallery because the photos were just so good!). We were so pleased with the final photos, which were beautifully delivered in usb via a package. Our son had a great time and I would definitely consider her again in the future.

One word comes to mind: "professional". We recommend Ashley most highly! My husband and I are (unfortunately) very picky when it comes to vendors and customer service - we have high expectations and seldom post reviews as a result. Ashley met our expectations and more. Our daughter was born during the first covid wave, so we weren't able to get newborn photos done. A few months later, we were itching to get some family portraits at home to preserve our memories. Ashley took all necessary precautions and we felt safe at all times. We originally thought the photos would only be marginally better than our iPhone 11 photos, but boy, were we wrong!! There's a HUGE difference between taking your own photos and getting them done by a professional. Ashley was responsive to our inquiry from the start. We love that she provided a questionnaire to get to know us better and she provided detailed instructions on how to prepare for the session and what to wear. This really helped us to achieve the best results. On the day of, Ashley was on time and the session went by quickly and efficiently. We were a bit nervous at first, but immediately felt at ease. Our baby LOVED Ashley and gave the brightest smiles, which were captured perfectly. Ashley was patient when we paused for a quick feed. Most of all, she was understanding of our various requests, non-judgmental, open, and amenable to working with us. The photos were processed incredibly quickly with a Zoom call scheduled two weeks later, where Ashley showed us a photo slideshow and different products. The slideshow unexpectedly brought happy tears to our eyes. We ended up getting all the digital files with some canvas products. The digital files were on a USB and packaged beautifully. The canvases took a while to arrive, but were of superb quality. We're so appreciative of Ashley capturing our first family portraits and looking forward to working with her for years to come. Her photos are light, airy, and natural. We're very lucky to have found Ashley and highly recommend Yellow Brick Road Photography!

Ashley is amazing! To start when I contacted 3 different photographers for maternity photos & then the newborn photos. She was the only one to responded to me! Such a great bubbly personality and so kind! She gave use such beautiful photos and made me and my husband feel so comfortable in the maternity photos. Never thought I would be so happy with them!! As for the newborn shoot... AMAZING! She knew exactly how to get our babe in the right positions and keep him calm and photo ready! We have a french/English mastiff Diesel and let me tell u she is great w adding animals into the photos! She was so great with him and incorporated him so perfectly in all the photos! It was so huge for us to incorporate out dog as he is apart of our little family! And our baby boy was so adorable and cute in all the photos!! As for style is very cozy natural and we live for it! Ashley is a one of kind photographer. When I say this, I truly mean it in every way. We arranged for her to do a newborn shoot within two weeks of our baby being born while I was pregnant with our first baby. She couldn’t have been easier to book. Once our sweetheart arrived we set a date and then a was a little bit nervous about how things would go. I have to be honest - I worried what if the baby cried the whole time? What if our house was too dark? Etc. From the second Ashley arrived my mind was at ease. She walked in and felt like a friend we had known forever. She is literally a baby whisperer and Violet slept the entire shoot after Ashley used her magical swaddle to wrap her up into the cutest bundle I’ve ever seen. The time she spent with us was fun, relaxing, but also so much more than that. It’s hard to put into words but she made it feel easy and fun at a time when you’re sleep deprived and have so many things on your mind - she is capturing such a monumental time in your family’s life and does it in such a relaxed, enjoyable way. I felt that way before I even saw the spectacular finished product. The pictures she captured are priceless. She has created the most beautiful memories that we will look back on with our daughter, any other kids that come along, and our grandchildren and hopefully great grandchildren! Honestly - to say I would highly recommend Ashley and Yellow Brick Road would be an understatement. Her work is priceless and she has been an absolute pleasure to meet and work with in every way ????
