I had a fantastic experience working with the Ponds team. I was planning a surprise for my fiancee where I needed help transforming older pictures into Polaroids, and I needed to have these pictures ready within a tight deadline. Quinn, one of their customer service representatives, was incredibly quick to reply to all my inquiries and ideas, and within a couple of days, we had the finished product. I attached these Polaroids to 10 helium balloons of all sizes as part of the surprise, and carefully placed them all around the bedroom. Well some people are so generous, the gentleman at the store was quiet friendly even though I was in a rush to get the digital photograph for some documents, this guy clicked my photograph, while uploading the picture in the computer. He clarified if I have picture which up less than 6 months old I can use it in my documentation. I had one from his store which was around 2 months old. This kind man didn't even charged a penny for his time and suggested me to use that only.

Got my photograph taken for a VISA application. 2 copies - one of them is cut with face not centered and not a perfect rectangle. Plus the photograph has my eyes half shut - I did ask him as soon as the photo was taken if my eyes were open and the photographer said yes. Looks like they dont vare about the quality of their product and felt rushed. The only reason to give the second star in the rating is that they were not rude and delivered within the promised time.

These guys are the best place I've dealt with. I needed a passport some time ago and they got it taken and printed within about 15 mins. $20 flat and I'm done. Pretty impressive turn around time. I also found some old rolls of film in a relatives house after they passed. I had the pictures developed and I needed them before the wake. I let them know it was a time sensitive matter. They did it super quick and enlarged some custom ones I found on the roll after. These were pics nobody even knew of and everyone was super thankful from my family after. I'm never going anywhere but here after the amazing service I received! Also I was in the store in response to the gentleman below when they were working on the AC unit. Yes there was scaffolding in the store (at the very back out of the way) but that's why they had the cash register away from the work being done. Common sense should dictate that walking around a 16ft scaffolding with 3 plus people isn't in their best interest. At least where I come from anyway.

Parking is the only challenge in downtown Guelph, but it's well worth the trouble. THEY DEVELOP FILM ! Finally I have found a place that doesn't send the film out to develop I gave it to them Friday and it will be done by Monday. (Attached images of poor scan examples) there is nothing I want more in the world than to be able to support ponds, but time and time again they have just left me disappointed. almost every time I have gone there for photo finishing services such as developing or scanning I have been left extremely disappointed with the results. from scans being covered in dust to not receiving rolls scanned at all, having incredible distortion on my scanned images and under exposed scans when I knew the image should be properly exposed. i’ve even had entire rolls ruined in the developing process and been sent back 36 frames of cloudy white images. i’ve gotten back razor sharp negatives from them, but then the scans they’ve taken from those negatives have been incredibly blurry and distorted. i’ve even had one of the workers tell me after complaining about dusty scans: “yeah everyone hates our black and white scans” (see the image attached for the regular amount of dust on their scans. unacceptable for $20+ a roll) it just seems as if they aren’t trying and it hurts me to say that since i loved supporting them and have spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars there. ive attaches several examples of scans ponds has done with various issues. Scans from THE EXACT SAME CAMERA are razor sharp when done by other labs… so how is it possible ponds scans are so poor? Looking back at scans and prints that ponds had done for my father over 15 years ago, they are beautiful, it saddens me to see what the quality is now. i hope they start to take more care in peoples images because it honestly hurts to put your heart into a roll of film and have it be ruined by bad scans. it’s worth the drive to toronto to go to a half decent lab that won’t ruin your precious photos.

I went here to print some photos from my usb stick. They have sit down kiosk where you can select which photos you want etc. There are basic editing tools to crop and adjust colours. Cost was reasonable and the turn around was less than a day. Note, while this was my first time here. I noticed others who were using the kiosk had trouble opening USB sticks that were from a Macintosh and it does not accept .Tif files.

Such a disappointment. 1. I was told that my passport photo will be ready in 20mins. I was back in 40mins, but it was not ready. They simply forgot about the photo. It took another 15mins to wait. Nobody said sorry. 2. While I was waiting for the photo, some small things started falling just couple of inches from me. I looked up, and there was a guy doing some renovation of the ceiling on a scaffold. I don't mind renovations, but, please, let me know that standing in some areas of the store is not safe. 3. If you want your photo on USB, you can have it; but you still must purchase a CD with the photo burned on it, CD+photo=$30. Such a cheap approach of doing business.

This place was awesome for infant passport photo! Most places I called said it's too hard and we aren't equipped to do it or it takes to long and we don't want to take the photo. At Foto Source it took less than 5 mins to get a photo of him, but you need to make sure the baby's eyes are open. It was quick and painless and they were very easy going.

I just spent 2 hours (including 1 hour travel time to get to Ponds) so, one hour cropping and selecting at their kiosk. The system crashed and NONE of my selection could be saved...all gone. Ponds, you should really have a disclaimer on your kiosks that states your kiosks are a crap shoot.

The staff was very friendly and the prints came out excellent and on time for Christmas gifts. This week I needed more pics printed and decided to try the online order with the home delivery. So happy to have this little print shop close by! Online ordering is so convenient; my orders are often ready same day (if not, the next). Have gotten 4x6 prints to poster prints (3' x 4') and everything in between - quality is always amazing, and very reasonably priced. Update: Unsure if the store is under new management, but I’ve been quite disappointed with the service (or lack there of) recently. I had prints done a few months ago and my black and white prints looked blue. I emailed the shop to inquire and no one got back to me. I waited a few weeks and emailed again, as I saw the email on their website had changed, and got a response asking me to bring in the prints (no apology) to see if they printed on the incorrect colour channel. I then advised that I had since tossed them out since I didn’t hear back and inquired if my order was still on file to confirm they were purchased. Never heard back. Will be switching to an online shop.

DO NOT GO THERE! The outcome was HORRIBLE and I’m very DISAPPOINTED with the photo quality. I went there to get a photo for the Permanent Resident Card because they advertise on their website but unfortunately they didn’t have any knowledge for the required guidelines (such as measurements and lighting) that IRCC has specified. Since the outcome looked terrible and didn’t look right, I expressed my concerns. However they just said “This should be fine.” instead of taking my concern seriously and reviewing the IRCC requirements for how a PR photo should be. After contacting IRCC office, I found their photo “unacceptable” and I had to retake my PR photo. I tried my best to find a great photo studio and found one in Toronto where a photographer is fully aware of how a PR photo should look like. In addition, the photo studio in Toronto charged me less than $10 for amazing outcome while Foto Source Guelph charged me $20 for nothing (everything they did was wrong). So do NOT go there for a PR photo! Despite of how they advertise as in the attached photo, they have no idea what they are doing!

Supported this place for a really long time because it’s local and they did great prints. Unfortunately my last few visits were very disappointing. I asked why a few images came out blurry, and the owner just shrugged his shoulders and told me the wallet sized photos do that sometimes. No offer of reprint or how to fix it. Today I came to the store and the owner made no eye contact and just turned his back at the counter right in front of me and watched a movie on the wall as his employee was helping me with a transaction. Definitely didn’t feel warm or welcomed. I’m not sure if I will be returning.

I was extremely disappointed in the service provided when I dropped off VHS tapes to be transferred to DVDs. I was told it would be $15 per DVD, approximate cost would have been $150-$180, when I picked them up they charged me $360. Had I been told this the price you would be paying, I would have reconsidered or been more selective about the tapes I had transferred. I will be spreading the word to be careful not to use them for any photography needs, poorly managed.

This shop is professional, polite, efficient and creative. In Covid times you can send photos via internet and receive printed copies back in the mail in quick time. The staff is helpful and willing to answer questions. Their products and regular email newsletters are excellent. I am a mature person without tech skills and they have helped me attain the prints and cards that I wanted. I certainly would recommend this shop to my family and friends and I have done so.

When I spoke to the gentleman over the phone before picking up my photos he was very helpful. I received very good customer service and my engagement photos turned out better than expected! Wonderful, friendly, and quick service. I made a photo book online with ease. The software was user friendly and helped me organize the pictures from my trip in such a beautiful way. My project was printed promptly which made it very convenient for me to show friends and family my creation shortly after coming home from my trip. Couldn't ask for a better way to store my memories; that book will forever be on my coffee table. I will definitely be using Pond's in Guelph again and will recommend to my friends and family!
