I visit here alot for books and colouring books. I do wish it was a full sized Chapters, but I'm glad we at least have this indigo here. People are always super friendly and helpful and I like the fact that the people don't just work there, they know their stuff because they are actual book lovers.

I was shocked and very disappointed to find no effort was made to highlight the books selected for this year’s Canada Reads at the Sydney Indigo Bookstore! The selected books were not even visible for customers to purchase. Given that Indigo is a Canadian bookstore chain, it would seem appropriate that it would promote this celebration of Canadian books and authors.

Ive never seen the likes of a store so ridiculous one of your employees told me there was no food or drink in the store ok understandable but when its a closed drink that cant spill and when i point that out your employee says “i dont care if it is closed no exceptions” like what? You mean to tell me if i bought a bag of UNOPENED candy or something i wouldnt be able to shop here? Ridiculous id rather buy online or go to the store in halifax then deal with that rude miserable old woman you will never see another cent from me ever i would rather wait then to spend any more money in this store i cant believe the way this store treats its customers as well as the old woman who worked there told me “theres clearly a sign” ok great but again its closed i suggest not going here if you buy any food or drink items even if they arent open! You’ll be told it doesnt matter
