Harold and Janie were amazing to work with! For my enagement shoot, they were even able to photograph my dog and cat with us! It was so syrupy sweet it will rot your teeth! Also photgraphed us in 2 other locations including a waterfall! Bridal shoot- I was very uncomfortable at first, but was put at ease while Janie directed me in every pose to get the very best shots while Harold took the photos, and of course let my mother in law and Mammy interject their opinions as well. Everyone says I look like a page from a bridal magazine in my bridal portraits. Wedding- I had two photographers before the wedding, during the ceremony, and reception! They captured us getting ready which was so special because my late grandmother was there with us, and my mom who had just endured 2 brain surgeries months prior. My mom of course was slow to move but they were very patient and took as much time as we needed to get the perfect family photos! The ceremony photos were so perfect and captured everything as if you were there! The reception photos covered everything from the decor, food, cake cutting, and flawless dance moves! They even were able to stage a photo for us leaving and kissing under all of our guests lined up with sparklers over us! Delivered photos well before the deadline, and I use lots of these photos to decorate my home! Will use Special Moments until the end of time! They go above and beyond! I have referred many to them and will continue to do so!

I was really looking forward to getting my maternity pictures taken. We had to reschedule many times due to weather conditions but the last time we agreed on a date and time, they didn’t let me know ahead of time they had made other plans. I had already purchased the balloons I was going to use for the photoshoot and purchased the maternity dress I was going to use. That same day after I’d purchased everything, they told me they wouldn’t be able to make it. After so long of waiting and that incident I just told them to cancel everything and to get a refund of $100 which I had already paid without taking the pictures. I have been waiting for a refund check for about a month and a half now and still haven’t received anything. I keep texting them at the number we were communicating through and I keep getting ignored ???? I’m really not a bad person or the type of person who likes to make drama of things but come on, after so long it’s only reasonable I get a response about the refund.

They also did my engagement and bridal photos (we rescheduled my bridals twice to ensure the PERFECT weather for the perfect photos) & I hope to have them do my maternity & newborn pictures someday! Harold and Janie did my wedding photos in 2012. I didn't know them previously or had seen much of their work. I immediately fell in love with them and noticed how hard-working and diligent they are. Janie was super nice and offered ideas on poses and backgrounds and location and my pictures turned out beautifully. They were super fun and joyful to be around. My wedding was out of town and I forgot some stuff at home and their positive attitudes definitely made my pre-wedding Jitters go away. It's impossible to have a bad time around these two! They have since done several family photos for us and also our baby's newborn pictures. We will always use them for all of our photography needs and recommend them to others. With every session they have worked hard, they have been prompt on getting me my pictures, and they were a pleasure to work with, and most importantly my pictures turned out beautifully! I am proud to display them in my home.

I booked them and immediately needed to cancel; they were wonderful about the whole thing and when I called back 6 months later with a reschedule date they got us on the books no problem. I was a covid bride which made me anxious because nothing was for sure, but they always showed up and always pulled through for us. They did our engagement photos, fall photos, and wedding photos and they made it so easy to be comfortable with them and in front of the camera; we loved every single image. I paid for basketball photos and never received my photos. Spoke with Harold he stated he would put them in the mail. A whole week later i still haven't received what I paid for. Now he won't answer but he will text. He also stated they don't do refunds. We are in the same town so i know it doesn't take a week to receive the pictures. I will never order anything else and I will spread the word to not order with them.

An absolutely adorable couple, professional and very patient with kids! Due to the rain we had to reschedule twice and they still managed to squeeze us in. If you're hesitant about booking a photographer- we had a photo shoot for a 1 yr old along with our wild 2 year old and they was fabulous with them! The best photographer team I've ever worked with. We're now customers for life!

Never got the photos taken first 2 reschedules were out of both our hands the 3rd reschedule not to sure what happened.. asked for a refund took months to get it then finally get it and it's a check from an account with no funds in it. Would not recommend this business!!

Hands down, best investment we made for our wedding. We had a last-minute wedding (we are horrible planners--only 3 months notice!!) and they bent over backwards to work with our schedule. I was super frazzled working out the details for the day, and they were so understanding and patient with me. I don't love taking photos, but Harold was so kind and made me feel like a model even when I felt ridiculous for some of the poses. They honestly did more than photograph--they kept asking me what else I needed and how they could help. It was like having two great, incredibly supportive friends at the wedding--who just so happened to capture phenomenal photos. We got the photos back amazingly fast (around a month) and they turned out fantastic! Prices were also extremely reasonable. Cannot recommend them enough.

Absolutely horrible experience with Special Moments Photography! In a world of online review opportunities, you'd think they'd think better of it, but alas! Here we are writing this... We called to book a fall family shoot. Agreed upon a day and a later time to pay the deposit. After all was paid, working middle class family problems happened and we decided to put off the shoot until the following year. Harold agreed over the phone to a refund and told us he'd stop it by "on his way through Ozark" that week. He was a no show. He then started ignoring one of our phone numbers after we left a few voicemails asking him to let us know what was going on with our refund. The next day or so, we called from our other cell and he answered second ring! It was a terribly hateful phone call where he admitted to have already spent our deposit and stated he did not owe us a dime because of a now-implemented refund policy, one that had not kept him from agreeing to our refund in our first conversations about it. We then agreed to keeping our fall shoot date so we wouldn't be out the money and pictures like they were trying to do, BUT HE AGREED - THEN VERY QUICKLY REFUSED TO GO FORWARD WITH IT. After that conversation, we went to Facebook and wrote a detailed review, including screenshots and call logs. Harold and his wife took to their pages in defense with some out of this world stories including being fearful for their lives (Really now? How old are we?) and, well, that's bad for business. I received numerous messages and emails thanking me for my honest review from people who had been thinking of using them. It's all in keeping "honest" people honest, right? So, after making fools of themselves they ended up FINALLY giving us what was promised in the first place. A refund. However, we were to pick it up at their house and taxes would be deducted. All fine by us. But the icing on the cake was Harolds wife standing at their front door - I kid you not - HOLDING BACK A BIG DOG to, I'm assuming, intimidate us when we walked up? There was no reason for it, seeing as though the dog could've been kept in the house. But she stood there holding the dog by its collar, on the front porch, the entire time until we pulled away. It was a labrador, I believe. It looked very ridiculous. That's Special Moments Photography, everyone. Good luck!

Love this team. They shot my wedding photos a couple months ago and I'm so happy with the pictures! Not only did they turn out great, but Janie and Harold were so good at helping me and my husband not feel awkward or nervous while shooting. They were so good at telling us exactly what to do so the pictures came out perfect. Somehow in the end, they made us look good!

Purchased a portrait package back in April of this year and have yet to receive a single picture or a refund that was promised. They do not respond to emails nor do they answer their phone. If I ran my business in that manner, it would not survive. I understand that this year has had an impact on everyone of us, but 7 months is ridiculous. I just wanted my pictures in a timely fashion.
