I really wanted to write a good review for Kelsi Jo, unfortunately I am in the middle of a horrible experience with her and feel that others should know about it. My husband and I wanted to get married in Hot Springs Arkansas and had all the details worked out, hired Kelsie Jo off of a referral. A week before the wedding my mother became very ill and wasn't going to be able to come as we live in Texas. We made the hard decision to move the wedding to our home town. This caused us to lose thousands of dollars and put us in a major financial bind and had to cancel our photographer. Kelsie Jo said she would work with us and let us pay half of what our contract was and would even let us make payments to her. That was on August 17th. Sept 7th she had an attorney send us a letter threatening a lawsuit if we didn't pay the full amount by the end of September. Only a month after our wedding. We are unable to pay her anything until we can get back on our feet and are blown away by the lack of compassion she has shown us at a time that is supposed to be one of the most joyous times of our lives. Instead we now have to worry about getting sued when all it would take is one phone call from her to work this out. She has not emailed or called me once and has gone back on her word to let us pay half and make payments. She refuses to speak to us and told me I can talk to her attorney. I feel this is extreme behavior considering the circumstances and would think a Wedding Photographer would be more compassionate toward her clients when circumstances out of their control cause last minute changes. Now I wished I had never listened to my friend when she referred her.
*update to Kelsie Jo's response below- If anyone misrepresented themselves it is you. You did not call or email me one time between when you agreed to letting us pay you half in installments and when you had your attorney send us a letter demanding we pay in full or be sued. We were married on 8/18/18 and you had her send the letter on 9/7/18, not even a month after our wedding. Also, we had to barter to have someone take our photos as moving the venue last minute caused us to lose a lot of money. Our honeymooon was paid for by our guests as thats all we asked for from our family and friends. Sorry if you think we should have paid you instead of going on a honeymoon but you had already agreed to let us pay in installments and half of what the contract was for. I could understand if you talked to me even one time but when I tried to, you told me you wouldn't speak to me. Customer Service is a huge part of your business and you have shown that you do not care about your clients. I hope you never do this to anyone else. For anyone reading, she has served me with court papers and now I have to deal with this extra stress of being sued out of state. Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.
