After my son's refills run out I will be going to a different pharmacy in Perth. I do not mind the wait times, things happen, places get busy. I notice this is the biggest complaint about this location. That being said, the one pharmacist is highly unprofessional. He has messed up my Mother's prescriptions and he was also very unprofessional during a consultation about my son's thrush medication on today's date around 4:30 pm. I understand the pharmacist has a responsibility to inform patients about risks and precautions to make sure an infant/child does not develop thrush, but he was rude telling me, "the reason why this keeps happening to your son is because you are not sterilizing the bottles properly". First of all, this is the first and only time that my son has ever had thrush. Secondly, there needs to be a professional line of informing a patient versus being rude and misinformed or jumping to conclusions. To clarify, it was not Myron Li, his consultations have always been professional, it was the other pharmacist.

Store selection, cleanliness etc at Shoppers University Village is OK. Unfortunately, some of their staff (especially a couple of the "grey haired cashiers") need a BIG "tune up" when it comes to being friendly and welcoming. Seem to be mainly interested in getting customers out of the store, asap. Definitely don't make us feel like valued customers. ???? And NO one ever asks if you need help finding anything either. I've actually heard a couple of cashiers arguing LOUDLY with customers to the point of being extremely rude, several times. Not to us, but the "show" was hard to miss as the volume steadily increased. The staff also lacks knowledge and training when it comes to their rewards program. When I'm more aware of how a points program works than an actual employee, something is wrong in a big way. Then they have the nerve to argue about this when they are in the wrong!! That's happened to us twice. I love my Shoppers PC points, I'm not about to forfeit a bunch of them because a cashier doesn't know what they are doing. Something to be aware of if you like to save up PC points for big shops, like we do. Also, there are often quite a few dodgy (on drugs, begging...) people hanging around the University Mall too which is unfortunate. I don't mind someone politely asking for change but I DO mind being asked repeatedly or worse... bullied and harassed. ???? When someone is high on drugs, anything can happen.???? Perhaps some security on site at ALL times, is something to seriously consider. I enjoy shopping at the Country Club Shoppers much better. They have some really nice, helpful and friendly staff at CC and they DO offer to help on a regular basis, without being asked. I appreciate their overall usually positive attitude and atmosphere. I will probably be shopping at CC more from now on, even though it's not nearly as handy for us, a lot further away.???? The manager at the University Village location is obviously not keeping an eye on how customers are being treated. Or even worse, doesn't care! Lots of room for improvement here.

In the pharmacy section, the relief pharmacist that worked on April 25, 2021 at 20:30 that i talked to was so unprofessional. I asked for a specific drug and she kept asking “what?” and i understood why she kept asking and I kept repeating myself because we were wearing a mask. So then when she understood me she was like “what is that?” so i told her what it is for and she said “we don’t have” and left me there all confused and speechless. She was so unprofessional that she didn’t even said sorry or recommend something that can help me. That kind of behaviour when you are in a medical field is not acceptable.

Shoppers staff were fine, it was the Pharmacist here, a Male who was abusive to me and mean and controlling. He raised his voice at me and tried to make me buy full prescriptions even though I told him I just moved here and Needed a few meds till I found mine. He did not care. I have 100 per cent insurance coverage on my meds and I am also a Veteran with a Severe Mental Illness and he did not care. He said he would charge me full price for a few pills, almost 70 dollars, instead of showing me compassion and caring to help me for a few days. I walked out very stressed and worried with no help from him. He also was going to make me wait another hour after already waiting an hour for meds from there. I never went back. If I gave this Pharmacist a 1 out if 10 rating for how mean he was to me on my first visit, I would give him a 10, being the meanest Pharmacist I have ever met. I suggest u go elsewhere, anywhere else is better than this place. I was hurt and I felt worried about my meds, I also felt afraid of this Pharmacist and I left very rapidly after he was so mean to me. I gave him none of my money and I went elsewhere. But the rest of the store and staff are nice I'll shop there for sure just not for medicine. He should feel ashamed of himself for his lack of professionalism here.

I was in Lethbridge and had to get an emergency prescription for my meds. I am from out of province and it was Sunday. My home pharmacy was not open to confirm my prescription but Shaila(sp?) went out of her way to make sure I was able to get enough until I returned home. She went above and beyond! Thank you.

It is up to the customer, to decide, wha5 what over the counter medicine ???? is better for you ????. They are, without a doubt, the worst pharmacy i ln Sarnia, to get a flu shot. I like this location because it has lots of parking and the parking lot is always clean. The post office is always quick. The pharmacy is quick too. The staff is always nice. The only thing that is hard about here is when traffic gets heavy it is a little wait to get in and out of the lot.

I absolutely love to use this Shopper's on Topsail Road to get my medication's. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I have Cystic Fibrosis and other medical illnesses and condition,'s, so I take an awful lot of medication's. Most time's with certain medication's, they already have them filled before I even remind them to do so. They are alway's very helpful when I get out of hospital to make thing's easier for me to get back on schedule, so I am not having to go to the pharmacy every other day or every single week to pick up my medication's. And when I use their option to have my medication's delivered, the staff are so willing to help me with my instruction's so I don't miss the delivery driver. They also have great deal's throughout the store on item's that have discount's, especially on the weekend's. The store is alway's well stocked with specific and everyday item's. I would recommend this Shopper's 100%, especially with the pharmacy section and their team. And they are open 24/7, even on holiday's!!!! Thank You Shopper's for your understanding and service's and like I have already said, especially to the pharmacy owner Scott and his team!!!! ????

Addition/Edit- Not the best customer Service, After attempting to ask a question I knew immediately the staff member didn't want to be on the phone with me. She got rid of me very quickly. So fast in fact she never asked my name, or what the item was I was expecting to hear via vital information about & was supposed to provide me. (I have something on Order to this Shoppers location from elswhere) Now I have to physically go into the store and personally see to it that what I am asking for actually gets done. Lest I be forgotten. Very poor phone conversation. Disappointing barely covers it. I'm glad Walmart is still around. Sept 2020 - Nobody wears masks while preparing your medication. Not one single staff member has PPE that they use. Last time I shopped here they didn't even have face masks on hand for sale to the public. Every other pharmacy in town sells masks of some kind. Its disturbing to see how Shoppers doesn't understand or care of the seriousness of the situation a pandemic brings. A&W staff all wear masks and are taking precautions that shoppers will not. Find another pharmacy or complain until they put a mask on their faces. This is not the flu. *This is airborne.* If you don't wear a mask their sanitizing isn't all that effective. Those who do not wear masks should be convicted of manslaughter if they infect and kill a person. Think about your responsibilities to the public. If you cannot handle the simple responsibility of putting a masks on, perhaps you should quit your job and have your driver's license removed at the same time. Clearly you are acting like a child. A very scary child, a drunk child with a loaded gun.

Well just left this store. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I been a spending money in this store for 25 years without issues. Recently I have a friend accused of stealing from the outlet on University Avenue on here break in her work outfit ankd dumped her personal belongings all over the counter. After all that there was nothing on her that was stolen. Manger then realized that they were in the wrong and apologized offered a gift card and let her leave. Now after all that she returned to the store to make another purchase and was again approached by the same store clerk again accusing her if the same offense and again and was proven wrong again the second time. This is also had been done in front of all the people inside. Embarrassed and upset she left the store. So Tonight I am at store she is with me. I approached the store clerk asking to see if there is a way to smell a certain perfume and with response rudely to my question and proceed to follow us to the self check out. So my friend asked if I wanted a reusable bag. I said yes. So she went to get one for me. Then the store clerk started to point out rudely that she had stuff in her hands still but we were not finished putting things thru the machine. I responded that we are not finished he spoke with a tone that was very disrespectful so I don't and said " I think I don't want to finish my purchase because of the disrespecting demeanor of his presence" also with the comments to my friend calling her a thief. Which was proven wrong twice. So we proceeded to leave the store when she told me that this individual was the same clerk that had given her the hard time the first place. I never been so embarrassed and humiliated in my life. Management then came over to see what was happening and I began to tell him meanwhile the clerk was still screaming at my friend telling her I know you your a thief and don't come back. I asked for a Manager. Which he responded that he was owner. I was like you do not own here. And proceed to argue with me I told them I have money and have no reason to steal where I showed my wallet and asked them if they want to see my bank account now in 3 days I spent hundreds of dollars in that store treating myself with make up perfumes shampoos everything women love which we all know is not cheap. I would like to make this a issue. So please beware of this particular staff member of this store. As he if falsely accusing and rudely speaking to females that are not doing anything wrong. So be prepared for what is to come we will be making this a public issue. Because this is not right. I have been really disappointed with the service by the pharmacy team at my local Perth location. I was inquiring about booking a COVID Rapid Antigen test for a trip in January. The gentleman pharmacist wasn't very responsive to my questions and just told me to book a test online. There was no lineup behind me, he just appeared he didn't want to help answer my questions. Anyway, I went to the shoppers website and and had a terrible experience trying to book a test. It redirected me to the LifeLab website and wants me to pay $150??? Tried calling The Perth shoppers twice, no response . So I call Smiths Falls shoppers 1min later Shawn a wonderful pharmacist took the time to LISTEN to my concerns and booked me an appointment over the phone. I understand it's a stressful time for us all but Shoppers is the only business providing this service in the area and should be ready to assist it's community.This is the wrong approach to service and the booking Experience on the website needs to be clear for rapid testing/ traveling. Apologies for the lengthy message but this is an important review for service

Maybe it was the heat outside, but the temperature inside was refreshing. Some simple products weren't where they usually are in places like this. Consistently frustrated by the pharmacy at this location. They don't have common meds on hand (even standard antibiotics) often give you just a few days and make you come back. As I have to drive 20 mins both ways to come in this is very frustrating. The organization is also lacking. It frequently takes 20 mins to locate a filled prescription. Even if you called in to verify your meds are ready you might show up and find out they are not ready, or are incomplete.

Is this store Covid friendly? I gave it a rating of 3 stars because the idea of social distancing is evident. How ever the aisles are so close and packed there is very little space to move around or go down aisles. If you are patient and stand and wait to go down each aisle until there is space you most likely will have an impatient person squeezing by. Friendly customers abiding by the rules gave this store the extra points from me. Otherwise if you don't need to be there don't go.

The information about covid-19 vaccines is confusing and misleading. Please update your website so people know you are only offering vaccines to high risk populations. It's also impossible to book a vaccine online, even though it's supposedly an option on the website. I had great difficulty getting my call through and checked the number several times. When the phone did pick up, I was on hold for 15 minutes. After reading some of the other reviews I can see there is work that needs to be done to improve the customer experience.

I went in there to ship a few items, the guys didn't only help me bring the stuff inside but also through packaging and shipping it. Also they were very helpful with items I wanted to buy in general. Shoppers Drug Mart 136 Princess (Bagot and Princess Streets) is a very busy downtown drugstore. Peggy and Cindy are great examples of personalized service. Actually, there are others and I intend to edit and rewrite and include the others names in this review. You can find almost everything you'll ever need in this store, yes, it is expensive for the points you get. They do have great sales on food at times so do take the time to look at the frozen food sections while your there. I will give you a warning however, make sure you have gone to the bathroom before you go shopping as the bathrooms downtown are usually in disrepair.

Terrible. The staff at the photo centre were very rude to me. I'm not sure if they were truly familiar with that area of the store or properly trained in customer service. I will not be back! The instructions for using the outdated photo processing machines were blunt and not user-friendly at all (no apple products period, for instance). It appears that this store has not taken the necessary time to train the available staff on the proper use of these machines and thus have banned any further photo editing to happen on the newer, more advanced machines. Options such as "auto", "rotation", and colour-enhancement are all available but inaccessible due to managerial restrictions and ignorant front-end staff. This is not, however, a city-wide Shopper's Drugmart blanket policy: the staff at the Lemarchant Rd. location are helpful, educational, and personable. In the end, holding a printed photo just makes you feel human, authentic, and connected. Not complicated.

Went there this morning, could not find what I came in for so I went to the pharmacy counter for assistance...was totally ignored by the 2 women behind the counter. A man walked up and immediately one of the women ran over to him to assist...gender inequality at work in this store? I think so... I will be taking my business elsewhere, and as a caregiver I do purchase a large amount of products.

While in-store, I received good service from the beauty tech who helped me. However, I forgot my bag in the mall washroom. I returned to the store to ask if anyone had brought it back. A few minutes after I left, a man came in with my bag of recently purchased items (product worth over $100) and returned it all in cash. This was MINUTES after I had been in asking about my stolen product! I was told there is essentially nothing they can do for me, aside from maybe recoup my Optimum Points. I left my contact information for a supervisor or manager to call me and after two weeks no one has. Very unimpressed. I am out over $100 and lost all of the products I purchased. You can't tell me Shoppers doesn't have the loss-prevention budget to recoup these damages to me, especially after their employees returned products that had been inquired about MINUTES before.

Guys don't buy any milk there or if u do, please taste it right in front of the cashier for your own safety. I brought milk (Neilson's) two days ago from this shoppers. I drank it the next morning and realizing the milk was spoiled. The people behind the counter were uncompromising and then positively rude to me when I phoned to complain. We will no longer to be going to this Shoppers, but will go the lovely folks in Almonte instead.

During the first week in August this year 2019 my oldest sister Loretta had passed away , but Loretta lived in Hamilton Ont. Witch was around 4 - 4.5 hrs away , now I'm an amputee so I needed to get a ride with my youngest sister who live's in Selby north of Napanee Ont , now we needed to be in Hamilton Ont for 2:00 PM on Thursday but I had a prescription due Thursday morning. So to make it on time I needed to go to Selby, on Wednesday afternoon or evening and we'd have to be on the highway by 9 am Thursday morning, so I asked the pharmacist if she could fax my Dr's office and ask for an early release, just so happens, her name is Loretta also, she was so polite and a whole heck of alot calmer than I was said not a problem she could take care of that right away for me , I called in on Monday morning and was hoping that it would be there for at the latest Wed afternoon, Tuesday late afternoon sure and behold the pharmacist that was on duty had called and left me a message on my answering machine said I could pick it up it was ready , when I received it getting home late that night I called and asked when they closed,, so she told me I replied that I'd be there probably at the last minute she said ok and I made it with 5 minutes left ,, she , sorry I didn't catch her name ,, but she was so caring, and you could feel that she ment every word , that she wasn't just talking to sound good , every thing went well , for the time being, . 2 weeks later we were having problem's finding the paper work from my Grandmother's will so scrambling around my youngest sister was pulling her hair out as she was looking after things we needed to move Loretta from Hamilton home to Kingston Ont to be buried here Kingston is about as close to our real stomping grounds as possible, we grew up mainly on the south side of Napanee about 15 minutes out of town, anyway again I needed my prescription in a hurry, because you see just because your pharmacist sends a fax to you Dr dosent meen that the nurses are in no meens in any hurry to show them to your Dr ,,, now. With all the hustings around 2 weeks ago I didn't see that there were no refills,, so Monday morning again Shopper's faxed my Dr and normally if it busy he'd fax things in after hrs , but nada nothing ,, well that pharmacy's right on top of thing's,, they faxed and refaxed my Dr for a refill and finally they received it and said it would be at least an hr that they were very busy, and that they were, but I explained that I'd already postponed my PSW personal support worker , but I had an other appointment for 11:30 am and it was10:40 am so I explained about my PSW and my appointment, ,, WOW WOW that team helped me out again,, I was in and out within less than a half an hr ,, and on my way ,, now I didn't catch all their names but I could hugg each of them for all they helped me out with,, Well except the one and I don't think he'd like it to well ,, but I think he's new , I'd never seen him before, and I don't go hugging men either,.. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH pharmacy team , and believe me I'll find out witch one is Loretta as she got the ball rolling from the start for me .. So if your ever downtown Kingston Ontario and you need a drugstore, you're best bet and the only stop you'll need is at the SHOPPER'S DRUG MART AT 136 PRINCESS ST KINGSTON ONTARIO!!! Great Pharmacy! I called first to transfer my prescription from another pharmacy. It took a while to get through on the phone but this is understandable considering we are in a pandemic. While talking on the phone, the pharmacist was able to find smaller doses of my medication because I was working with my doctor to adjust dosage to minimize side effects. She went and checked their inventory to make sure they had enough of the lower dose pills. They contacted the other pharmacy quickly and my prescription was ready when they said it would be ready. Thanks for the helpful and prompt service.

Went to this location for the AZ vaccine as a walk in. Josh did a fantastic job organizing and coordinating the line. Very poised and professional. The system, once I was in the store, was fine. My only suggestion is the waiting area before the shot is not well designated. Maybe a bigger sign saying" wait here for vaccine" rather that a "2" would be more informative. Mohamed was so good at administering the shot, I didn't even feel it. Ted, the manager(?) and his wife were very pleasant in the post shot area. Overall the store was clean and well organized. I had a great experience in this SDM.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I went there around 10pm last year when I was living at the university because a friend had something going on health-wise that was embarrassing at the time. We asked to speak to the pharmacist (who we found out was the owner) in the consult room to discuss the embarrassing topic in private. She rudely said "what ever you want to say you can say it here". Once we quietly told her what was going on, she repeated the issue by yelling it to us! We all looked around to see how many people now know about what we were trying to conceal. 3 young girls aged 18-20 living away from home tried to get help and advice from a pharmacy turned into utter embarrassment. She ended up hardly giving us the time of day and continuing to either yell about the situation or talk quite loudly even though we were obviously uncomfortable and anxious. Absolutely terrible experience. Do not go there if you have any health issues that you want to discuss with the pharmacist. The next day we went to a different shoppers for real help and told their pharmacist what had happened and they apologized and said it never should have happened. The pharmacist at the other location was not surprised that our negative experience was from the Elmwood location... The only hope the Elmwood shoppers could have would be if the owner took empathy and manners classes or they got new owners.

Beyond disappointed with the service I received the other night. I'm 8 weeks pregnant and suffering from terrible morning sickness, I had to work sunday all day then I tried to stop by on my way home from work because I realized my anti-nauseant prescription had run out. It was close to closing time, about 10 mins away, which I've never done to them before and never would have tried to do unless it wasn't absolutely necessary. I was denied service and told to go to a different pharmacy. I would be entirely more understanding about this situation if I hadn't gone to another shoppers and had to resign up with all my information and PAY FOR MY PRESCRIPTION because they had none of my insurance information on file. Signing up and paying for my prescription took us maybe 20 mins to get through. Filling my pill bottle took him less than 5 mins. I understand wanting to get out of work on time, but to deny service before closing for something that would have taken her basically no time to do and would have helped a heavily sick pregnant student? That's just beyond cold and cruel. Never getting a prescription here again.

It is unbelievable to see any one star review of the Shopper's Drug Mart pharmacy at the Mall. They always get voted Best Pharmacy in Medicine Hat, and I have seen nothing less than excellence in the 10 years I have been a customer of theirs. I have always gotten my prescriptions on time or much, much earlier than expected, the staff have always, every time, been polite, friendly, and professional, owner Leanne herself has even done work on my behalf without me having to ask (that I could have easily done myself like confirm dosages and such with my doctor), and they have gone waayy out of their way to resolve even the most minor of issues. Even more so I have seen them deal with unbelievably rude customers who literally demand of them things that are both impossible and borderline illegal for them to do. Then when they politely refuse they get yelled at. Thankfully you don't have to take my word for it. Do business with Leanne and the staff, and they will easily demonstrate for themselves how wrong these negative reviews are.

They have the WORST customer service at Front st, not to mention the supervisor has a pretty poor sense on how to speak with customers. Obviously, they are of all the same ethnicity, whatever, welcome to Windsor, but to chase after a guy down the street, then when he opens his bag and they find nothing (no, it wasn't me) and the security guard drops his bag, upside down, on the sidewalk, then there's an issue. I'm surprised to see negative reviews for the First Ave location ... I've used them for several years without incident. My prescriptions are always promptly filled, the pharmacy staff have always been courteous and helpful, as is also true of the floor staff. I hope the complaints I've read have been corrected, or that it was a one-off mistake anyone could make - and by the way, post office staff there work for Canada Post, not Shoppers, so blaming the store for any service problems you might have had is hardly fair.

I know nothing about pharmaceutical works, but I know that a whole hour wait for a little box to be taken off the shelf and put into a paper bag is too much. My biggest complaint is that I was advised of the wait time (promised 45 minutes actually, that turned into an hour) after they processed my order, not before. I could have turned around at the very start of this ordeal and gone to a different place. It took me less time to urgently find a specialist and go through the whole new patient first visit diagnostic and prescription process then to get that tiny box of medicine. Two starts are for the actual staff managing to still be friendly-ish and patient while struggling with the so badly set up system.

Called a week in advance to get my prescription transferred from another pharmacy. When I arrived at the time I told them I would pick up the drug, on the day I needed it, it was clear that no one had followed up beyond having the prescription transferred. Pharmacist seemed pretty indifferent about whether or not they got me the drugs I needed. Told me to come back the next day, despite already being told that wasn’t an option. Blamed the pharmacy assistants for the problem. Not a good place for anything beyond standard prescriptions.

There was one cashier working. Who had about 10 people in line. I went in for something specific. There was none on the shelf. Unfortunately my review is based on the fact that there was zero customer service when I needed help. I couldn't find any staff to see if there was more product in the backroom. A good chunk of the staff has been replaced with self scan machines .The shoppers on talbot is much better. There are lots of staff and they are always very helpful.

The store part is absolutely fine, no complaints there with the Shoppers staff, they seem to care and know what they're doing....BUT.... The pharmacy is the WORST! Super rude staff, never seem to have things ready when they tell you it will be ready to go... they seem to always be behind on orders and on multiple occasions, they'll be 'busy' but half the staff are hanging around chatting like they don't have anything to do. We recently transferred our orders to get filled at a different pharmacy.

I rarely go out but when I do, I wear a mask. I've gone to Shoppers 3 times over the past 6 weeks. Normally I shop there several times a week but I am self isolating now and only go out if I absolutely have to. Usually to pick up a prescription. I have not seen any social distancing in the store except for the lines, on the floor, by the till. I am usually the only person with a mask on. I'm in a high risk group and am trying to be safe. The aisles have been crowded with people, going in both directions, so there's no way to be more than a foot or two away from the other shoppers. I wish the store would enforce the directions from the Government. Some stores limit the amount of people, in their stores, so people can keep their distance. Shoppers is always busy.

I went there Wednesday, the 14th of April to take photos for me and my family members after I called and confirmed with them. When we were in, I asked a lady she was organizing the chocolates e on the shelfs. I asked her about the photographer. She said the camera was broken. This is now the 3rd time that I have had extreme dishonesty. I was told I signed up for their online med ordering which I never did. Be very careful if you receive a message from them. I thought this could have been spam as I didn't sign up. The person in pharmacy repeatedly said I did sign up for online. I can truly see that they don't have my best interests at heart. The man I spoke with on the phone basically said I was lying as I had to have signed up, End result, was charged full price for a portion of meds as they ran out yet again. I have to go back in and wait again, and I have to find the money now to pay for this error on their part for giving me a script I didn'to rder. They don't do refunds due to pandemic. Pretty sad to be that way during covid19. I guess it really is time to switch to a smaller pharmacy. They work with you, not against you. The cashiers in store part are fantastic....I only have good things to say about them..just not the pharmacy. They really upset me...Money is tight right now and to be charged for something I didn't order upsets me terribly. I'm sure some people are treated well, but I haven't been.

This was my go-to pharmacy, and I usually pick up a couple of things when I go to get my medication. Last time I was in, I picked up my meds (and the pharmacy and pharmacist is 100% awesome, this review isn't about that) and went to cash out on some coffee cream, and found all of the friendly and helpful cashiers had been replaced by a self-checkout, and a very nice young lady who (for the time being at least) was there to walk customers through the process of doing the job of a cashier. I will no longer buy anything here, as they've taken away much-needed jobs from the community. It's still my go-to pharmacy for medication, always will be, but I won't be buying anything here again until I see humans back at cash registers. Yes, automation is a trend and it will eventually be the way things are, but I'll keep shopping at the holdouts that like to employ actual people from our community. Plus, TBH, at the end of the day I don't want to do a cashier's job, I just want them to ring my stuff up, pay, and leave. Bring back the jobs to this store and get rid of the self-checkout as the only option, and I'll be back.

Said it would be ready in two hours, came back the next day and still wasn't ready... This after waiting 20+ minutes in line. And it appears there was another gentleman who had a similar experience and now as I type this, another customer's script isn't ready... No contrition on their part whatsoever. Their slogan is "Everything you expect from a pharmacy... And much more". Well I expected my script to be ready when they said it would and it wasn't and I get the impression I am not alone in this experience today... I don't think that's an unfair expectation of a pharmacy... Is it??? One star is too generous.

My fiancé called regarding a covid test and had a few questions as he’s rightfully very concerned, and he was basically rushed off the phone within 30 seconds of speaking to a woman who treated him like a child. One of the good Shopper's locations I've encountered. Open 'til midnight. I had to take my dad to the hospital as he had an eye infection. The hospital was a ghost town. Anyhow we got out of the hospital in 45 minutes. It was 11:40. We had prescription for a cream for my fathers eye. The drug store is pretty much next door to the hospital. Got our prescription to the counter at about 11:50 and were out in 5 minutes. Usually you wait forever at SDM locations. Not at this one. Kudos.

Where to start with this lot? Well, they are incredibly slow at counting pills, dropping them in containers and handing them over. Everything seems to take at least 30 minutes, just enough time to spend more money in their store. If your medications are backordered, do not expect phone call....it will not happen, neither will they attempt to find alternative medication.Try to find another pharmacy, because these guys are hopeless.

TLDR: don't buy a gift card here. I live in Edmonton, was gifted a card. I tried using it to fill up on gas at Esso. No dice they said I needed to return to the store so they could activate it. After driving 30 minutes turns out you need to call some random number stay on hold for an hour and then have no resolution. I think this delaying tactic is probably illegal, but I don't know what to do about it.what a waste of $50.

Trusted their knowledge with medication. In the end I got the wrong med and wanted a refund or store credit because I won’t be using it ever. But the owner said no. I believe humans are more flexible than rules. The mistake started on their end. Never coming back to this place.

This is For the Pharmacy. Store I've never had a problem. So I've had to use the shoppers drug Mart pharmacy a couple times when my pharmacy wasn't open that day or whatever it may be. I felt like because the medication I was on I was treated like a drug addict I walked up to pick up meds and was told to take a seat it will be awhile then I watched them serve to customers that came up after me. So after 35mims sitting there I got my medication that was sitting there ready for me. Just felt very uncomfortable and judged by staff also felt like they did not put the customer first they continued to do what they were doing until they felt like serving me and I've heard this from other people as well

I have called the pharmacist today, for the first time in the very short period I have lived in this town, in order to have informations concerning any possible interactions with flu medication. And not only did I not get answers from the pharmacist but she took a derogatory tone and proceeded to tell me that I had called before, and if I wanted answers I would have to change my file to her pharmacy. When I said this was impossible she cut me off and proceeded to tell me that "she knows me". And when I asked if she could tell me when this happened, she cut me off again saying that "there is no need because I know you and remember you" This is all a misunderstanding, obviously, but nothing will make up for her lack of care and her horrible customer service. Feedback on Pharmacy Zero stars. Got an email saying flu shot available, no appointments required. Went to the store. Had to take 4 hours off from work, took 2 buses and walked 20 minutes to get to the store. Told them I came for the flu shot. Pharmacy associate told me appointments are required. They refused to honour their own email. From now on, I would SPIT on shopper's drug mart and boycott them for the rest of my life. Further, I would also recommend my friends and family to boycott them in the future. The service standards can be described as "cancerous" and "parasitic" in nature. The pharmacy is being run by people who have never seen a high school in their lives.

On June 24th I loaded my peggo card at this location and it wasn't done properly, my card was empty after. Called the store in the evening and the woman working told me to bring it in when the manager is in at 8am. Customer Service Lied. They said they faxed my Dr for repeats and I called back, told me I had to call my Dr. which is also another lie. It is their job to get repeats. I have been with out my psyche medications for a week now. This location needs to hire better staff and train them properly. The women I spoke with was rude and raised her voice to me. I will be transferring my file to another pharmacy. My friend warned me not to use this pharmacy and I should of listened to him. THe customer service at this drug store is horrible. They have omitted needed medications from my dad's blister packs, put the wrong meds in it and just recently I couldn't even get a simple perscription filled because no one there thought to ask me while I was waiting in the store if it needed to go in the blister pack. This Shoppers drug mart is one of the worst. The staff are very rude and inpatient. I had my doctor fax my prescription over. When I went to pick it up they told me I should have called it in to be filled. When every other time my doctor faxed prescriptions in they had it ready a few hours later. When I asked about why this is I was treated rudely. Then I was told I would have to wait a few days for my prescription when I'm out and need my prescription asap. The staff member was extremely rude to me and inconsiderate. I will not be using shoppers any more for my prescription needs or for anything else for that matter. Obviously I'm not the only one experiencing this from this store as I see in the comments. Maybe Shoppers drug mart corporate office need to investigate this store. But instead when they reply to a review they ask for people to call a number so they can give more information. This is making your company look bad. If one would like to be treated with care and respect I would go to somewhere else not the Perth Ontario Shoppers drug mart. Another thing they are not following or enforcing the social distancing or enforcing the walking down one way isles. Absolutely disappointed with the pharmacy service. Called in a refill prescription at 9am. Arrive at the store 7:20pm and was told that they are busy and I will have to wait 45mins. Do Shopper’s Drug Mart or other pharmacies frequently run out of Rx medications like ibuprofen and common antibiotics? Because these guys do. Delivery is terrible. I’ve bought frozen foods only to find them completely rotten or freezer burned when I open them at home. They sometimes trick you with the sale bins and stock them full of ridiculously-priced frozen food where it looks like they’re on sale. The delivery driver once slammed the door on my dog’s head because she said was scared of dogs—probably the wrong line of work to be in for her. I hate giving bad ratings, but come on.

Went down today and cashier kept pushing the self check out (which Im assuming the company tells them too) we aren't blind just not interested. Then when we finally got our order paid for the cashier called up the next person before we had time to grab our bags....but ppl are expected to stay 6 ft apart, nor did they disinfect between customers. I do not blame the workers as I believe more than anything it is likely due to poor management or business. This company needs to learn how to treat their customers and likely employees better. 2 stars is only because they had most of what I had been looking for.

Super nice to be able to run in a grab quick essentials. The self check out is great too during the pandemic because I use a clean key to type on the display so I don’t have to touch anything at all. It’s alway clean and bright. There’s room to socially distance, most of the time, except at the check outs but they put up dividers so at least there’s something. Haven’t use the pharmacy there but the rest works great for me.

What a bad experience dealing with the owner, Greg. Referred to me as "man" several times, told me not to try and tell him how to do his job after 22 years. All over the issue of whether or not my Doctor accepts faxes. Why do all the other Shoppers I've dealt with over the last 12 years know this? Promptly called Kara at another Shoppers and without hesitation said no problem, we'll fax your doctor for the refill. Why did she know this and yet Greg didn't. Being a business owner myself, I know the importance of listening to a customer's questions. Just because you're an owner, doesn't give you the authority to speak with people any way you like. I don't write bad reviews very often, but my experience with Greg, a pharmacist, who you would expect professional conduct from, is really shocking.

I come to this shoppers a lot due to the simple fact it is open late and very convenient. Since the pandemic started, I’ve notice a very common trend with the night staff employees that really bothers me every time I come in. That is the employees have masks but they wear them under their mouths covering their chins only. We have been through a lot this year, as has everyone everywhere, so in my opinion it should be common sense to wear your mask properly at all times to protect yourself and others. So when I walk into this shoppers at night, all I see are employees not caring about anyones health and safety. What terrible service at the Pharmacy. Hard to believe after using Shoppers for my prescriptions for 25 years, I moved everything to Walmart Pharmacy. No one answers the phone, Pharmacist rolls his eyes at you, manager could not have cared less that I was having an issue. To top it all off, called the 1 800 #, like the owner told all of the other people to do,and was on hold for over 50 minutes before I packed it in. Good luck to anyone trying to get customer service out of this business. How can it take 24 hours to get Antibiotics from a pharmacy ????

As a former SDM employee from the 80s when Melboracis was the price code I can't believe how so many employees at one place of business can treat me like dirt. The pharmacy is absolutely awful. You could stay on the phone waiting for them to pick up for hours and you would never get to talk to someone. They also tell you “you have to come back after 10:30” to get prescriptions every time, in my experience. I have dropped off prescriptions at noon and have still been told to come back after 10:30pm. The pharmacy team here is phenomenally kind and knowledgeable. Filling prescriptions was an easy and I would recommend this location to anyone. We were greeted by the beauty counter attendant, the Shoppers’ itself was very clean, and they had distancing arrows. December 2018 - Updated: After 3 separate and very poor customer service experiences, all by the same person at the Beauty Boutique, I simply will not shop here any long even though it is a block away. From having zero interest in assisting with a simple colour match, to literally being ignored when inquiring about a rather high end product (primarily what I purchase although it should not matter), to the obvious level that a younger rep stepped in to attempt to answer, seeing how incredibly rude her colleague was behaving for no reason, (yet everyone ahead or behind is greeted and/or offered assistance??) to finally waiting 9 full minutes at the register right at opening with only one other customer in the Boutique area. The customer, an older teenager, who actually went and quite loudly said, "can you please help the lady at the counter, she's been there for a really, really long time!" and continued to point towards me while the representative, Diane, ever so slowly came to the counter, no apology and no words were uttered other than me saying thank you and have a nice day, to no avail in gaining any form of service or even remote decency. I have since returned any costly purchases (and lower ones too) and have given all of my very frequent business to the Indian Road location who goes so far above and beyond (Sandy in particular is fantastic!) and deserves my loyalty, my hard earned money and respect. I do also very much appreciate the high level of service offered by the Michigan location as well when I have been in the area or if Indian is sold out of a specific product I am looking for, it is only the Exmouth location who really needs to figure out a way to improve their Boutique staff choices (I am far from the only one with the same issues and complaints). Initial Review (October/2017): Customer service has much to be desired at this location in particular, it's not terrible but definitely lacking in my experience, especially compared to other local locations. (I do not use the Pharmacy so I can't comment/am not referring to it at all.) I also have noticed a number of specific items I shop for, only at Shopper's Drug Mart, are not adequately stocked here either which is a bit frustrating when coming from out of town and out of my way to shop here. Overall I feel there are improvements which could easily be made to make it a more customer friendly and appealing store. Still, no major negatives but consistency in customer service and product availability would be very helpful.

Just moved here. I have been getting my Dad's prescriptions filled with Shoppers Drug Mart for close to 40 years. My Dad gets his blister pack medications from the pharmacy. We have moved twice in the last 6 months and been traveling for a year across Canada. Due to our criminally negligent health care system, my Dad has been placed in several situations of nearly running out of his medications because of the deplorable care at walk in clinics. Every Shoppers that I have asked whether they would give Dad a week of his blister packs because of this situation has shown great compassion and loaned us a week, until we obtained the prescriptions. This Shoppers was the only Shoppers across Canada that refused and as a result my Dad is going to be left without his medications that could have devastating consequences.

The manager of the cosmetic counter at the Gananoque store has got to go. Entirely bad attitude and just over-all bad attitude. Asking a simple question about a moisturizer will get you a scowl and an eye roll followed by the answer of I don't know. You'd think that the manager of cosmetics would know some basic skin care needs. It's not an isolated incident either, unfortunately has happened on multiple occasions. I no longer buy any makeup or skin care from that store. I will order online or shop somewhere else. The shoppers itself is decent (the worst one in Sarnia) but the pharmacy is brutal and I will never use it again. My prescription is very expensive so they thought it wasn’t worth ordering for me. Each refill was a disaster and the pharmacist wouldn’t even give me her name. Because shoppers is the only pharmacy that dispenses this particular medication I have worked with the drug company and am now having it direct shipped to my house. STAY AWAY FROM this pharmacy - it is terrible. and they do NOT care about you.

Pretty poor. Dropped of script to get filled, they failed to tell us the Dr. forgot to sign it. We are from out if town and hey knew it, told us they faxed it to the Dr but could take 1-2 days to get an answer, WOW!!!!!! Then charged us even though we had coverage for 100 percent, next time I will drive into Edmonton to get a script filled instead of going there.

Was there yesterday for my booster and there were 2.0-30 standing around some people were there for there booster and some were there for rapid test at one point I went to the counter to say I wasn’t comfortable waiting with all these people there wasn’t enough room for self distancing that’s for sure….and to have people that were being tested with people that were there to get there booster is just WRONG what are they thinking is this just about money

Have not had any issues at this store. They always have what you need if you have a cold. Their selection of goods is no different than other Shopper's Drug Mart. Staff has always been great, and the pharmacy is always quick and efficient. The post office has come in handy on a couple of occasions too.

This pharmacy is brutal. Long waits every time I try and drop off/pick up a prescription and only a few members of the staff are even remotely friendly. They deleted one of my prescriptions, were incapable of calling when my refills were ready for pickup, and couldnt come through on their advertisement that out of province students could recieve extended amounts of their prescription. Attempting to phone the pharmacy with questions/concerns was useless as the line was always busy and no one would pick up. Would highly recommend taking prescriptions to Guardian pharmacy in Victoria Harbour instead.

The pharmacists here state they are not supposed to cut pills for you. However, upon verification with another pharmacist at Wal-Mart there is no law/policy or SOP stating they can't cut your pills. It is also required by law that they are to cut your pills especially if it is perscribed by your doctor to take a lower dose than what is made. I also witnessed a patron of this establishment be yelled at, and also told they couldn't cut the pills. Fyi don't get your pills done here. There has been many occasions not only for myself but for my sibling's having our prescription end up wrong when we have called in more than a week in advance. Or upon occasion not having our prescription ready. The care, due diligince, and professionalism of this pharmacy is sorely lacking. When the above issues were brought to the head pharmacists, you are met with excuses of "we are really busy". I'm sorry but when you've had a week to fulfill a prescription, that excuse gets a little old. When it comes to disciplinary action for inappropriate behavior from your staff, nothing is done about it. Totally unprofessional and disrespectful. If this rating could have 0 stars, it would. Thoroughly disgusted.

Never have I witnessed such incompetency in my 70 yrs. as in past 18 mnth at this location. A. If they say they owe you pills on a prescription (as thankfully I did) keep your bill. Hospital gave me instructions take specific med……Do not miss dose!! I got 4 of 24 tabs said they’d have next day. Noon, next day son goes, not there. I call pharmacist, she says you got them yesterday. I explain, you gave me 4…I need 20 more. Ok, she says they’re here I’m filling it right now. My son returns comes home. They are claiming they gave us 20 owe 4. ( I’m seriously ill) son goes 3 rd time. Brings bill and prescription from previous day showing we got only 4 - 20 owing. Was still a struggle because some incompetent had put the reverse in the computer. This just the latest, how many times now can not count, they say your prescription will be ready ln hr. Next day still not ready, takes 4 yes 4 visits to get. Then there’s the time I was told can’t find it, you must have picked it up. I say, I called it in at 11am by noon was in hospital for 7 days. I could go on, unbelievable, incompetent. Changing pharmacy as of right now not worth the agro.

While he was helping me shop for a new fragrance he was a pro at multitasking and even took time to greet new members as they entered the store informing them he'd be with them shortly. He always asks open ended questions to understand the reason for customer visits and suggests many options with his broad range of Shoppers Drug Mart product knowledge. 5 STARS!!! Keep up the great work!

I recently purchased a folding blind stick as a gift for my mother-in-law. Her old one had been wearing down and I knew it had done its service. After doing some research, I settled on the Jernings Folding Stick with Standard Tip and Fastening Loop. I was very happy with the price, quality and accessibility of the product. The folding stick was a perfect fit for my mother-in-law. It folds down to a small size and easily fits in her purse. She is able to store it easily in her car and take it with her wherever she goes. The cane itself is sturdy and has some weight to it, so you know that you have something sturdy that can be relied upon.

I have been dealing with shoppers for years for myself , my kids, my last three prescriptions I have dropped off early ......thinking that would give them plenty of time to have it ready ..... By plenty of time I mean drop off before 9 in morning and not picking up till after work which is 5 o'clock ....once again I called at 808 this morning asking that the prescription I have "in the bank" be ready for 5:30. I sat there for 20 min and I started to leave and all of a sudden they decided it was ready ...... There were 3 people that showed up after me and were helped first ......... Are the pharmacists saying that all these people had their prescription in before me at 8 this morning.... I really don't think so ........ I would really like to be polite and say thanks but I really feel that is not necessary ..... I shall be looking for another pharmacy that does not charge 4.99 per prescription or makes me wait for 20 min when I have given them ample warning that i need... Not want ....but need the prescription they have End of my rant Thanks for nothing

Abysmal service at the Pharmacy. Multiple times being told a specific time to come in for prescription, only to be asked to come back an hour or so later. Sometimes even a day later. This has happened both to me, and my mother, many times. Do not recommend due totheir horrible lack of planning in getting important prescriptions ready on time.

Customer service executive was rude to my Indian friend today. Check your cameras, we shop very often and if you want to investigate I'll come with my bank statements on how regular I'm to same branch. They treated us like shop lifters and behave rudely which is not tolerable. When asked for manager every one ganged up against us. This is how you treat people from other part of the world? How can your employees be so racists. We deserve an apology. I'm going to court and file the defamation against your branch employee.

Aisles are noticably narrower than other Shoppers Drugmart locations which is worstened by all of the pop-up displays and awkwardly placed shelving. Same problem with the checkout/self-checkout area, very tight and uncomfortable. This made my experience much worse as I was carrying an infant in a carseat; it's like an obstacle course. I can't imagine how someone in a wheel or power chair would maneuver through this maze.

They do not honor their published sale pricing of it's after 6pm! My elderly aunt made a special trip to pickup an item advertised in the flyer to be on sale that day. After making her way into the she with the help of a cane to find out because it was after 6:00 pm that they were unable to honor the advertised flyer price and that there was not a thing they were able to do about that. The clerk was rude and brought her to tears. Not the type of service to be offered to seniors and this is how seniors are treated then their service is not good enough for me! I will not be back!

My 2 year old had to go pee, they refused entry to the washroom (COVID they said). We all know this is an excuse (several washrooms are open including other shoppers). I asked well where should he pee? They just shrugged. So I left. Starbucks was nice enough. I will not shop here again and recommend anyone with kids to avoid this store.
