I engaged Sandy and Kristy of Studio 549 to help me to launch my career as an author of fiction. They read the entire manuscript of my debut novel THE LANGUAGE OF DREAMS as a starting point for developing a book trailer. The creative flow among us was amazing, and no stone was left unturned--selection of sets, costumes, music and sound, props, photographic maneuvers--to product the stunning 4.5 minute book trailer that is more like an award-winning short film. Beyond capturing main plot lines and inciting interest, the trailer beautifully conveyed the feeling of the story and its dream-like qualities. Sandy is an unbelievably talented photographer and videographer, and Kristy showed exceptional skills in contributing to the production of the trailer, character acting, and developing a professional and artistic author website for me. In addition to professionalism and exceptional quality of work, Sandy and Kristy were fun and easy to work with. I miss them now that this project is finished.

I challenged this team with the creation of an artistic visualization of my research lab at the University of Victoria, and of its members' work, and their delivery was exceptional. Being in front of a camera can be a foreign and anxiety-provoking experience for a team of scientists, but Sandy and Kristy turned it into a very enjoyable adventure, and the outcome shows the joy and our passion for what we do. Their professionalism, creativity, timeliness, and attention to details added value to each step along the way in the making of our lab's promotional video.
