The biggest mistake you could make when planning your wedding is not hiring Jon-Mark as your photographer. Hands down, it will be one of the best decisions you will make for your wedding and you will not regret it! My husband and I reached out to Jon-Mark in 2020 to inquire about his services and package options. After a lovely chat, we knew he was the photographer for us! Jon-Mark has such a deep passion for photography and his love for it is infectious. His knowledge and skills are unquestionable. He was able to provide so much assistance in scheduling our day, when the best light would be for photos, would always thoroughly answer our questions, and was always open to schedule a time to chat. Not to mention, he is a fantastic, fun, and kind person to be around in general! After booking, we ended up having to postpone our 2020 wedding date to 2021 due to Covid, and throughout, Jon-Mark’s communication was spot on and prompt. We were able to secure a new wedding date and transfer Jon-Marks services to our new date, no problem. The package that we selected also included an engagement shoot and his photo booth. Our engagement photos were spectacular and the entire engagement session was so much fun. Having never had professional photos done before, JM was able to put us at ease, gave great directions all while capturing joyous and organic moments between my husband and I. If you're on the fence about getting the photo booth, do it! You will not regret it! The pictures from the photo booth are great quality and the photo booth itself was so easy to use. Our guests were entertained, borderline obsessed with it the entire night. It was a great opportunity for guests to take whatever type of photo they wanted. The photo booth pictures also served as a guest favour and were used in our guest book! Jon-Mark was extremely thorough prior to our wedding day to ensure all details and information was correct. On our wedding day, Jon-Mark was amazing, he was engaging, prompt, funny, prepared, professional and our guests loved him. His ability to give direction and communicate while simultaneously taking pictures and engaging with our wedding party was impressive. By the end of the night, I lost count of how many guests came up to me to make a comment about Jon-Mark, how professional and interactive he was, how he was the best photographer they had ever encountered at a wedding, and overall how impressed they were. We just received our full set of wedding photos and we love every single photo! We can not recommend Jon-Mark as a photographer enough. If you want a photographer that you can trust, who is adaptable, knowledgable, professional, fun, energetic, and who is able to truly capture the feeling of your day, Jon-Mark is the one for you!

We had a destination wedding at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria, B.C., Canada. The Fairmont Empress gave us a list of vendors in the area and that was how we discovered Jon-Mark Photography. We were very impressed with his work on his website and portfolio, so we contacted him. He was very friendly and professional. We met on Skype to see if he would be a good match for us, and sure enough, we liked him even more after that meeting! We booked him for our photographer, which was the most important vendor to us. Jon-Mark went above and beyond our expectations. During our first look photos, he climbed cherry blossom trees for us and he hopped on and off the horse drawn carriage to capture incredible candids. He was so personable that he made us feel very comfortable the whole time he was being our paparazzi. ;) Jon-Mark did such an amazing job capturing our destination wedding! Ohhhh where to start. I met JM at Camp Imadene years ago and have been following his photography business from the start. At some point I thought “when I get married, I want JM to be my photographer” – obviously I was THRILLED when it actually happened, because let’s face it he’s the best in the bizz for a reason! We instantly connected with him at our couple interview, he is incredibly easy to talk to and made us feel completely comfortable. He is so incredibly passionate, genuine and it’s easy to see he has his clients’ best interest at heart. We had SO much fun with him at our engagement shoot, it kind of ended up feeling like we were just hanging out. He not only knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera but will make you genuinely laugh your face off. He is extremely organized with very specific contract details in order to protect all parties which I appreciated, but was also willing to be flexible when covid hit the fan. The wedding day was also a blast and I trusted JM 1000% to do his thing - the sample photos we have recieved so far are absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see the rest! Jon-Mark was phenomenal :) We just had our wedding in June and he delivered exactly what we were hoping for. Book him especially if you're looking for candid shots with lots of colour and life to the photos. I'm sure he has the ability to do more artistic posed shots but I think he shines the most in capturing the life behind the photos. When we looked through our wedding album, we could picture every moment that encompassed the photo. It felt like getting to re-live all the happy laughter we had all day. If you're ever uncomfortable being in front of a camera (like I am) he had a great way of making you feel at ease. Our entire bridal party loved him too.

Jon-Mark photography was the first vendor we booked for our wedding (even before we were engaged, but had a date set!). I was drawn to his style of photography because the colours in his photos are very vivid and crisp. We chose package #3, which included an engagement shoot, a photo booth (along with an album to put the photo booth pictures in), and a second shooter. It was worth every penny, as having quality photography for capturing our wedding day was really important to me. Our photos turned out AMAZING. They are truly one of a kind, and that makes them all the more special. Jon-Mark is great at keeping the communication open and ongoing throughout the whole wedding planning process. He also offered to help with finalizing the timeline, which eased a lot of stress leading up to the wedding. At the last location of our photoshoot between the ceremony and reception, the cold weather started to get to me. We had been outside for a couple of hours at that point (in the month of February), and Jon-Mark offered me his coat when we were finished the shoot because he could tell I was chilled to the bone, which was so thoughtful. He does a great job with putting his clients needs and wishes first, and always makes you feel comfortable. Jon-Mark is a pleasure to work with, you will not regret hiring him for your special day!
