Jesse is the Wonder Woman of Photographers. She was the hero of our wedding and definitely the best investment we made toward our big day. It's not even about her photos, though they are incredible! They read with this indescribable familiarity, like we asked our best friend to be our photographer. No, more than that it is about the kick-ass way she commits to her photography and her clients. She brought an unwavering enthusiasm and keen sense of organization and detail to our wedding. She served as a last minute planner, helping keep things like the toasts and reception start running on schedule for our big day. All our guests loved her, and she captured some lovely photos of everyone who joined us. I loved her sense of humour and timing. I would absolutely work with her again. I also love the photo packaged she mailed us, it was so lovely and elegant and really made me feel like I was reliving the big day. Honestly Jesse is amazing, and worth every penny. She was, hands down, the best choice I made with regards to my wedding! You should hire her!!!

We are so thrilled that Jesse was our photographer for our wedding! Our wedding was in December 2020 which was a challenging time with COVID-19 and on top of that, the weather was pouring rain on our wedding day. But neither of these two things seemed to impact her ability to take great photos! Jesse was punctual, professional, and so thoughtful! When we were driving around taking photos, she made sure to save us a parking spot for easy access. She was incredibly flexible, easy going and positive. Like many people, we weren’t used to being in front of a camera, but she made the experience feel very comfortable and fun! From our first phone call to receiving our beautiful final photo gallery, Jesse was an absolute pleasure to work with!

People recommended for us to find a photographer whose work we not only liked, but someone who we would personally like because, we would end up spending most of the day with them. Jesse was the perfect choice because not only is she very talented, but she is so easy to have with you all day. She makes potentially awkward moments feel light and is incredible at managing groups and keeping timelines in order. Not only that, she's happy to go above and beyond to get the perfect shot (she jumped into the lake!). We felt so comfortable with her and trusted her completely because as you can see, her work speaks for itself. As for the results, we were blown away by our photos! We had previously discussed with Jesse the types of looks we wanted (ie. candid, posed, soft/dark lighting), and she delivered in all areas, which she said could be tricky depending on the light of the day. We were very particular. However, we received many different types of photos with captured moments that we could never replicate. Going through them for the first time, we shed some tears and had laughed quite a bit. It felt like we were reliving the day through her images :) As you can see, we loved working with Jesse and hope to again in the future. I simply cannot say enough about just how happy we are! Thank you, Jesse!

It was quite literally 2 days before my wedding and I called Jesse Holland the photographer. My only saving grace was that my wedding was in the unconventional March month and a week day--she was available to photograph my wedding with 48 hours notice...thank goodness! I went in with high hopes but knowing I had really waited last minute which is a big bride 'no-no'...or so I am told. Jesse shows up on my wedding day and I know she's the photographer only because of the camera draped from her neck and gear to go with. "Hi! You must be Jesse?!...Great!...I have no idea what to do!" said frantic bride. I actually had no idea what was going on but I was hanging onto that Mimosa tight. Jesse immediately put me to ease; she was clearly a seasoned pro. Her personality (notably humour and charisma) put everyone at ease. Jesse had every detail and moment timed out and it was clear I had nothing to worry about. It's hard to even think about it now...how did she capture every pivotal moment despite the ladies and men being separate for the ritualistic 'getting ready'? I still have no idea.There were smiles, tears and so much love all captured beautifully and organically. Jesse laughed with us when my bridesmaid became locked in the washroom when the door handle fell off, she rode in the RV (the 'Mo-Ho'), she endured a sopping wet, grey day to see our day through, jumped out of the 'Mo-Ho' to grab a few candids on the way to the reception with us, wore my shrug when the photos didn't call for it (looked amazing on you, J!) and stuck around to make sure we had a photo with all those we love. I was without a coordinator for the day, so between my 'bossy' bridesmaid, the care-taker at Craidelonna Lodge and Jesse everything just happened. Jesse was the one that helped put my veil on when nobody else knew how to. I can't thank her enough for all that she did that day. The photos she took are my most important possessions, the personalities and of course, everyone's 'good side' are all captured for us to cherish for life. So much went right with our day and Jesse was a paramount figure in that total. The talent this woman has is supernatural! Afterward, photos are presented with a beautiful slideshow and three different formats for your chosen use all online making it so easy to share with your (impatient) friends and family. Jesse Holland comes with my highest recommendations if you want sophisticated but fun, artistic, organic and a side of "omg, would you just look at this!". You are gifted, Jesse! She was extremely professional, patient and understanding of all the little quirks and asks we had for photos, and did an absolutely splendid job of capturing the glee we felt throughout the day. We absolutely love how the photos came out as well; Jesse had a knack for both guiding and framing for the planned shots, as well as capturing incredible candid photos of the celebration! We would definitely recommend Jesse to anyone who's looking for a photographer! We only met Jesse once before the wedding and knew from that one meeting that she would be perfect. Not only are the pictures she takes beautiful, she is also able to capture moments that you might not remember. In addition, Jesse was very organized and had a very clear idea of how she wanted the day to go based on our timeline which was great. She knew from the beginning what kind of pictures we wanted to capture and guided us through the entire process. We felt very at ease and didn't feel as though we had to worry that special moments were being missed. Jesse was also able to help us with situations that weren't to do with photography at all. There was a moment when we had to cut the cake and neither of us knew what to do, and she was right beside us giving direction where needed. At the same time, she was also very good at ensuring she isn't in your face so you don't feel like you are constantly being photographed. We were so so happy with Jesse and her work and would use and recommend her in the future!

We hired Jesse to cover our elopement in Esquimalt in December 2016. We really just wanted a photographer for one hour to capture the ceremony and a few other shots; Jesse was flexible with her time and pricing, and delivered far more than we expected! We are incredibly glad that we hired her as she knew even better than us what we would really want from this day. She was also very efficient; we had photos to surprise our family with within 18 hours of the ceremony and the rest of our photos within a week. Jesse even came to our house to deliver the USB so we would have the photos before we went on our honeymoon. Jesse arrived early and clearly knew what she was doing from the start. She captured beautiful photos of us getting ready, but also helped my daughter get dressed. I should also mention here that I was completely comfortable with her, she is very friendly and relaxed. During the ceremony she was discreet and I hardly noticed her presence, despite the fact that there were only seven people in the room. Immediately after the ceremony, Jesse steered us through a series of shots that made it clear she again knew exactly how to capture the moments and emotion of the day. We even had an unplanned First Dance thanks to her! I would highly recommend Jesse, she is professional, knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and good value.
