I contacted Brock for some new photos that I could use professionally that were less formal than my previous ones. My directions were somewhat vague and he engaged with me through a series of emails and idea exchanges to a level where I felt comfortable moving forward with a studio session. During the session, he worked hard to make me comfortable (I was fairly nervous/awkward) and also listened to my feedback about what I liked/didn't like. Delivery of the photos was crazy-fast and I had sooooo many nice ones to choose from. He called me back the next day and his enthusiasm was infectious - he suggested going beyond the basic headshots I was considering and creating more of a themed photoshoot (photos of me in the kitchen since that's what I do). He took care of the details such as sourcing a photoshoot-worthy kitchen, recommending a hair & makeup artist, and generally planning the day so I didn't have to worry about much except for showing up and bringing the props and outfits that I wanted in specific photos. Brock is easygoing, very professional, and just generally nice to work with. He sent the proofing gallery over within a couple of days of the photoshoot being done, and then after I selected the final images, they were ready (edited and sent over in multiple formats) in less than two weeks. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Brock again. Highly recommend!

Brock’s photos throughout the wedding were beautiful and turned out really well. When we expressed our unhappiness with some of the photos, he went over and above reediting those for us, which we were pleased with. That being said, there were times that he was frustrating to deal with throughout the wedding and during the editing phase. When we told Brock before the wedding that on the brides side we had a bridesman, it must not have registered since he told the bridesman to step out for a while so he could just have photos with us “girls.” Needless to say, I only received one single picture of my whole bridal party because he didn’t pay attention to who was all in it. Even though it is not usually characteristic to have a male on the brides side, we told Brock at the beginning, we tried to include him during the pictures, and if he actually compared the brides and grooms side he would have seen that it was lopsided and maybe asked why. During the pictures he also called the groom by the wrong name. If a wedding photographer should remember anyone’s name, it should be the bride and groom! After the wedding, when asked how long it would take, he said 6-8 weeks and that he would give us some sneak peeks within the first little while when he first started editing them. 7 weeks after the wedding, he had not yet contacted us and did not send a single picture. When we contacted him asking about it, he said he had not yet edited a single picture and will do that in the next week. We paid him to photograph our wedding, had 7 weeks to edit them and did not edit a single picture? The day before he was supposed to give us the pictures, he messaged me saying that family matters had come up and we would have to wait until the next week - although this happens and I definitely understand, he did not contact us the next week and once again I contacted him. When we decided to meet he asked if we could meet somewhere else than I suggested because it was more convenient for him. Then, on the day we were going to meet, he last minute changed the time again. Although I understand these things come up, it is frustrating that he wasn’t very accommodating and not very apologetic for such actions. All in all, his pictures were beautiful and his services were a good price, however he was frustrating to deal with, not very accommodating and not very personable.

The worst photographer ever. Total waste of money. I would be happier if I would have used a selfie stick to take my wedding photos. Brock likes to take natural photos, so your eyes are always closed or your head is pointing in the wrong direction. A photographer must give you direction and control the situation. During wedding party, he was just sitting at a table, he needed to be coerced to even take pictures. He seemed like he wanted to just sit and wait out the clock. Brock charges prices like he is the premier photographer for Edmonton but in reality the photos you will receive looks like stills from security footage. Im writing this review to hopefully save other people the pain of dealing with Brock. Even when confronted with an unhappy customer, Brock makes no attempt or effort to help or even talk to you. Once he is paid, he is done with you and your photos mean nothing to him.

Brock took our wedding photos, we chose him based off his website and online reviews. It was a huge mistake. Our wedding was at the end of July, we didn't get our pictures until November. When we did receive them we got 291 photos, out of more than 3000 that he took. If these were the best I am horrified to think of what the majority looked like. Many of the photos are blurry and feature closed eyes or terrible shots. Some examples being the only photos of our wedding cake are not centered and one side is cut off, in every single picture of the cake. He took pictures of our wedding rings on top of my wife's bouquet, which are all blurry. And most of the photos we received our eyes are closed or otherwise look bad. A few times he was taking pictures of my wife I took a few pictures with my cell phone. I do not know how it is possible that they turned out better than all the pictures he took with his professional equipment. Once we went through the pictures we were horrified that we had no good pictures of us and many people that attended the wedding were not present in any photo at all! We sent an email to Brock and got no response until it was followed up with phone calls a couple of weeks later. We ended up going to a studio and having new photos taken by a photographer. It just sucks that we don't even have a single photo of our wedding day to remember, that is something I don't wish on anyone. when I finally spoke to Brock, he said it is common to only receive such a small amount of pictures back, and said my wife was just super critical, but that cannot be true as she loved almost all the pictures the second photographer took. Since Brock basically told me to get lost when I spoke to him I am currently launching a case against him in small claims court. I hope this message gets out and he is not able to ruin anyone else's wedding. If anyone has any reason to doubt me I can forward some of Brock's work to you.
