Will not go back to this store. It is UNSAFE as they are not enforcing physical distancing rules. I attended the store last eve, keeping my distance at all times. Down an aisle by myself and a 20 something man came and stood directly beside me! I raised my voice and told him to get away immediately. Complained to store staff and they said that they do not have the right to ask a customer to leave, and they were saying out loud that they don`t know what the policy is. ******Follow up: just spoke with store manager, Stacey. She was excellent on the phone, and will be talking to staff as they DO have the right to ask customers to leave the store. Thank you Stacey. Stay apart, stay safe!
Staff are always helpful and friendly and the pharmaceutical team will spend time with you to answer any questions or concerns. I drive past other pharmacies to shop here.
Generally I find myself waiting in a line of 5 or 6 people with only one cashier. Other times I have stood at the checkout counter for 5 to 10 minutes alone waiting for a cashier. I will not support self checkout. I’ve actually avoided shoppers for so long I don’t think I’ve been there in 6 months. Ive gone into shoppers several times looking for an electronic item on sale in the flyer which they never have. Why advertise it in the flyer if you don’t carry it?
The male pharmacist at this location is very rude, condensing, and frankly just mean. He blamed me for not knowing my doctor changed my medication, this was not something my doctor and I talked about. So, naturally I had questions about this new medication and this pharmacist went off on me. The customer service reps are lovely there, but I'm going to have to switch pharmacies as this wasn't the first incident where I felt belittled by this employee who controls my medication.
Been going there for years. Great staff
After moving to Elliot lake I had my prescriptions transferred to this location. What a bad idea. Prices are CRAZY!!! Staff is uneducated. And wait times are pathetic. 24 hrs to be filled.? Think it’s time to transfer my business to Rexalls.
Have been with them for years, and not sure what has changed, perhaps a new owner or pharmacist, but we recently moved our prescription files to another drug store. Personal service and assistance almost non existent, not reading our prescription file notes, etc. Very disappointed.
I still had 10 minutes but you have to close… no big deal. Useless people
The secret shoppers they have their is out of control I've never shoplifted I've been a shopper there for 8 plus years and every time I go in there including tonight I feel like I am doing something wrong when I'm there just to pick up stuff I need every corner I turn around there's somebody standing there watching me it's quite ridiculous considering the amount of money I've spent in this store I believe I will be taking my business elsewhere if they cannot get their secret shoppers under control great way to make a customer feel unwanted shoppers security stock feel uncomfortable this is very sad on how security is allowed to make customers feel
Friendly staff
Purchased brand new computer from this store. Opened up the box, started getting it set up with my accounts, and the computer battery is plugged in but isnt charging. I tried returning it in exchange for one of this exact model, and they refused. I asked for my money back, and they refused this as well. I asked to speak to a manager, and they told me that the manager isnt in on sundays. I insist that they call their manager to resolve this and let me speak to them. They called their manager but refused to let me speak to the manager. I'm absolutely outraged because I spent nearly $500 for a computer. I left and when I got home i contacted the manufacturer and found out that this computer was previously owned and has been refurbished, and there is NO WARRANTY AVAILABLE. I will never shop here again. And I'm getting ready to sue.
The staff are not very friendly. The security guards seem to divide their time between random harassment of customer's and chatting up the cosmetics staff. I wouldn't refuse to shop there but I would have to be desperate.
Great staff and service
This store is not open til midnight as it says here: they close at 10, 7 days/week. Today they closed at 9:45, in fact. EDIT: the shop owner has replied to my comment but not...corrected the hours on this listing. LOL.
The new owner has a bad influence, she worked at Rexall before and treats clients very poorly if nobody is nearby. Argues about everything, yet is all sweet and pleasant in front of a crowd. She is lazy and sneaky. The store is the usual SDM set-up, the cashiers are very helpful, pharmacy staff do their best but there is a constant turnover of people, so nobody knows you even if you are there most weeks. Staff part time pharmacists are excellent. Post office trained staff are terrible. incompetent and slow. Best to go to central Post office building for parcels, or use the mailboxes for letters.
Horrible place to shop. Had the manager refuse a disabled person the use of their so called public washroom as it inconvenient for them and suggested I go somewhere else. Also been filling my scripts there for 4 years and was treated like a drug addict instead of a person. Will not be going back.
Chris that works here is the best.
A large Shoppers with a convenient location. Open late and they have a helpful friendly staff. A bit sketchy at 8:00am when the addicts are lining up for their "orange Koolaid" but otherwise a good experience. Always well stocked and clean.
Hours online are wrong. I walked there for nothing
Staff were friendly and current stock was pretty full.
Great store: good products at a decent price. Awesome pharmacy and staff.
Not really the best store in the chain, busy Saturday afternoon and only one cashier.
We’ve been customers here for 13 years. Denny the pharmacist and his team have been enormously kind and helpful on so many occasions. They’ve called us to ask if we need a refill, taken time to advise and explain, and even called to let us know when we could get specific products. We feel we’ve been very well and conscientiously served, and we wish them well as we leave the neighborhood. Thanks for all your help!
Quiet
Great staff...
The pharmacist was rude and unhelpful. You could tell she didn't want to help us and walked away when I didn't even finish my sentence. This pharmacy needs better customer service training. If you don't want to talk to people and help them, there are plenty of other jobs out there.
The Pharmacy have failed to provide health care several times. This location has serious systematic issues. I do not trust this location to be a reliable partner with my health care anymore. People with health issue that can not be solved come to this business.. However, I do not blame the staff, Manager/Owner your systematic issues can be solved: 1. uphold your obligations, 2. train your staff, 3. fix you computers, 4. own your problems, 5. fix your stock management process, 6. fix your customer service, 7. fix how you fill you prescription, 8. have some integrity, 9. increase your communication. Many times you have failed to fill prescriptions in reasonable time. Even when it is in stock; this location fails to refill persptions weeks after they are faxed. I'm talking several different events, where weeks after it's been prescribed and paid for, it's not delivered. What really was an eye opener was this: The Last time I was there waiting, I ran into a long time Sooke MD Dr R.S.; perhaps-just-perhaps I was the only one having "bad luck". Unfortunately, I watched as the good Dr R.S. left the store astounded. I was upset see even him being blamed for the medication not being filled, it was just like my experience's. He left with out medication, disappointed. Too many repetition of the same issues to list. This review represents more of my valuable time spent on your business. You need to self reflect; ultimately hopefully resulting in better care for someone else in-need who you are responsible for. Location is clean. The janitorial staff clearly have pride and integrity; give them a raise.
I have used the Esquimalt location for years and have a real love/hate relationship with this pharmacy. Some of their employees are the very best and I am always very thankful when I see them on duty. However, some of the employees need lots of work. Some can be very rude and condescending. I have given many different kinds of complaints about those people but the one ongoing complaint I have is when they give me the wrong cap on my prescriptions. I’m a senior with arthritic hands. They often give me child proof caps on the prescription bottles even though it clearly states on my file to give me regular caps. I cannot open child proof caps. I have been told to just use the cap from the old bottle. 1) that doesn’t always work when they give me a different sized bottle and therefore a different sized cap. And 2) they need to be more responsible in filling these prescriptions. While a cap is not life threatening, making other kinds of mistakes on prescriptions could be. They are obviously not reviewing the client’s file when filling the prescriptions.
Their pharmacy takes their job seriously. Very professional.
Im going right now and they have everything. I highly recommend coming here for anything, and the employes are really nice!
I put in a prescription and I got a notification from Babylon Telus Health that it was sent and received by Shoppers Drug Mart. Two days later I went to the location they said they did not receive my prescription and asked me to wait 3 hours! I took the bus there in the freezing cold. It was for a topical cream and I used to work as a technician in a different location and it does not take 3 hours to fill a prescription. And this location was empty at the time. They then said they would call me when it was filled. Never got the call after 2 days. Then I came back 3 days later and guess what? They said sorry they don't have it. The gentleman with glasses then rummaged through their papers and said, sorry we found it can you come back in 1 hour! Can you believe that. Finally after 2 days I went back and got my medication. This is unacceptable and I suggest if you need a pharmacy don't go to this location. They apparently don't care enough to do their job. I would give 0 star if possible.
Crystal was extremely helpful with a return this holiday season. Thank you very much! Excellent customer service. I'll go back just for that.
The staff is usually friendly but once a girl closed on me coz she had to go for lunch, found it rude!!
Picked up a prescription. They gave me a pager but never paged me.
The pharmacy team is AMAZING. This is the kind of place where they recognize your face and remember what you are there for. The dispensary fee is higher than what one would pay at Costco, however, the prescriptions are almost always ready within an hour.
many selection . but i feel the price is a bit high
Stood in line up of 6 people waiting to checkout. Only one cashier handling cash and lottery purchases. Other cashier standing at self-checkout to help credit and debit customers, but no one using that checkout. She did not come over to open use another till to help with the lineup of customers. Likely told by management they want to force us to use self-checkout. So we were waiting and waiting as the single cashier struggles to serve us. We can't use self-checkout because it is a cash purchase. Finally I left store and went next door to Rexall to make my purchase. Quick service at checkout there. When a store installs self-checkouts they are not interested in providing convenience. They want to reduce employee wages at the expense of customer service. Avoid those machines like you do the illnesses you usually have to go to the drugstore to treat.
The staff inside were very pleasant but as I walked outside with my purchases I was met with a cloud of cigarette smoke. This was at 9:21pm on Monday, June 29, 2019. The smoker was a female Shoppers Drug Mart employee wearing the blue shirt. She was standing outside beside the in door. I am a survivor of cancer and I don’t need to walk thru smoke when attending a local pharmacy.
Me and my friends go there all the time to buy make up
THIS PLACE IS WHERE YOU WILL GET COVID 19!! I came to this shoppers to pick up some medication for my boyfriends back pain. A gentleman in front of us in line was mentioning that his wife has been experiencing symptoms of COVID 19 and was not wearing a mask and stood way too close to people. The pharmacist only told him to go home and get tested but don't go to the hospital.... also didn't advise him to wear a mask, stay a safe distance from the counter/others or to sanitize his hands. My boyfriend is autoimmune compromised which can lead to life threatening health issues if he were to get COVID 19. We asked the blonde haired pharmacist for help as my boyfriend has a autoimmune disease and was unable to determine which medication would be best to take along side the other medications. The lady somewhat helped but I (as a aesthetician) probably knew more about the medication that my boyfriend was asking about then her. She walked over to her computer and started yelling to us to spell the medication. She would try to repeat EVERY LETTER, (loud enough for any and everyone around the pharmacy to hear). 1 unprofessional, 2 no privacy at all. Once I let her know she should just write it down she got an attitude and basically said sure it should be fine to take without fact checking. This place should be shut down. I'll make sure to report the incident with the pharmacists neglect.
I have a really hard time trying to get my meds from this one physician there a colored older lady gives me a very hard time and is very nasty toward's me????????. On the other hand the male physician is very nice to me and helps me with everthing thing I ask and give me break's all the time????
Over the phone service was good.
The pharmacy is getting so BUSY Now no personal contact shoppers drug Mart over two years can't REMEMBER my Name I feel like I'm not a Person Anymore, I'm client number #******?
It's a decent enough store. I don't use the pharmacy but I get some chips, candy and gift cards here when I feel like it. It's a very basic system that I find works well where you pick what you want to buy, take it to a cash register, and buy it. The only thing I do have a problem with is (last I checked) because of the Coronavirus, it's only open until 10 but the website doesn't reflect that. Other than that, it's decent.
good store,, tried to get the vaccine there and accidentally booked it at the superstore somehow
Answered phone very politely. Was much to around the bush when the answer to my question was no. I asked if I could bring lap size dog in carrier into store. She started with we would prefer not. She asked what size it was. I said it's a chihuahua, would stay in dog bag. I would buy phone minutes and leave. Said something along the lines of yeah would still rather not. So the answers no? She said yes the answer is no. Asked if I needed anything else. I said no and that was end of call. Why ask dog size if it's still no? If the answer was no regardless. Should have just said no to start with. Instead of wasting my time. Like there might be a yes. When in fact it was no from the start. Just not interested in tying up my dog small enough to steal outside.
Great area
Female pharmacy staff member not wearing a mask while dealing with customers (it was hanging off her ear).
Very upsetting! I called to renew prescription and four days later they lost it. Who does that? No call back ! My doctor is now on vacation still no prescription! Very upsetting! I have been 18 years with shoppers I never knew that EL shoppers can be so uncaring and disorganized and so incompetent!
Always very helpful, friendly staff. I like having the option of self-checkout or a staff member if I need additional assistance.
Bought a blood pressure device that was broken. Went to return it a week later and get told "we don't accept refunds because of COVID hygienic reasons". Frustrating but in my good nature I find this notion to be reasonable given COVID...but when I then go to return the item again and you tell me that you now won't accept a refund because it is past the return date...well, I am sorry, but you have wronged me as a consumer in two crucial ways: 1.You sold a consumer goods which failed to function as advertised and then decline my request for refund a week after purchase. 2. Due to hygienic COVID related reasons, you tell me to come back and process the return "later" but not state when that might be. But when I return, you fail to honor the purchase return. No good faith.
Check medications before leaving the prescription counter. Twice I was given the wrong bag of medications for my toddler. Highly dangerous for seniors not paying attention or poor eyesight whom dont notice. Tried to take to manager on duty whom simply says "oh you should contact the store manager".....what do you think Im trying to do! Do ur job before someone gets hurt
Such a bad experience i ever had. No customer service skills. Its a complaint about the passport photo which was not taken properly- too much shadow on the face as well as it was not cut properly first time, the lines of cutting are visible and i came back all the way from my home to set it. And then the lady cut the picture diagonal it was not the size i needed. I was so disappointed because i went back to get my refund and the lady said their is nobody who can help me with it. I went back from my break and my problem was not solved. You guys needed to get a professional and good employees who can satisfy the customers need. I went there three times and still they could not helped me. Awful services.
Open until 12 this store has anything you could ask for. The makeup, pharmacy and grocery sections all have what you need on a regular basis throughout the night. Though sometimes it feels they could use another cashier or at least someone who could man a cash register in an emergency in the later hours it's no huge issue as most transactions are quick and easy. The pharmacy is polite, honest and happy to serve you as most pharmacies should be. Though some specific items can be a bit difficult to find it's always a good idea to ask whoever is at the pharmacy counter before you go looking because the isles could be marked better if you look for a specific item, but if you want something simple and quick at a late time in Esquimalt this is the store for you.
I find this location to generally be quite helpful and informative. When I visited the shop late this evening a young employee was escorting a customer out of the shop. Clearly he had behaved inappropriately. I was alarmed and worried by the staff members continued antagonism of the customer. Repeatedly she told him he was band, sarcastically wished him a good night and several other escalating comments. I was fearful that this would further provoke the angry ex customer, and that her safety and the safety of others in the store was at risk. Clearly there needs to be more support and training given to staff to deal with potentially dangerous customers and situations.
Unbelievable this shoppers. Very rude. Some of which the older works seem to be racist. Was accused of stealing . Even went as far as charging me saying they had on video . But then when I was ready to bring it to court , they said they make a mistake trying to be apologetic. Lmao Sad store. Only ever one worker at the register when there's a long line. When I ask for help I always get rude responses. This has been going on for some time. With not only me but many others Are saying staff there treat people of color differently. ???? Terrible just terrible service. Minus 10 star
They could be faster with prescriptions
Honestly the treatment I experienced today at this store was disgusting. Shoppers themselves nice- the pharmacy well after today im changing pharmacies it just absolutely AWFUL. Reccomened the Save on Foods pharmacy if you wanna be treated like a decent human being.
Friendly staff, good deals on certain items, and open until midnight when most places in Esquimalt are long closed. Definitely a good place to buy toiletries, get prescriptions, or cosmetics items.
Go to rexall for prescriptions. ???? I asked the pharmacist if they would eat the prescriptions fee that's not covered by my drug plan. They said No so I found a drug store that would. You guessed it!
Great place very helpful good services
Since COVID this store now have self check out (thank God) because initially I had to wait in line to pay. Also Canada post office service is now more faster eventhough you still have to line up. I think COVID has helped this store to improve how quickly service is rendered.
Open late with what you expect
I was told 15 minutes to wait for my script but it turned into 1 hour and 20 minutes later!! Upon checking the whereabouts of my meds at 15 minutes, all 6 people behind the counter couldn't serve me, was ignored and then told to step aside so another customer could be served! my 'script wasn't ready yet....1 hour later, my unhelpful pharmacists clerk couldn't find my meds and forgot my name. When they finally did get it to me it was more waiting to talk to another person who was standing around talking to one of the other 6 people practically the whole hour l was waiting!! Very disappointing customer service. I shant get any more scripts filled here unless I absolutely have to after hours.
The last few times I went in at 945pm & they were announcing that they were closing in 10 minutes usually. yet whenever I look up the hours it still says it's open till midnight. I wouldn't be going in if I thought it was about to close I wish they would update the hours because it still says midnight as I'm writing this review or just not close at random.
Very rude shopper ever I have felt. Very rude and racist staff in canada post pick up. Please remove them. I was in the long queue and when I got my number then she said your post is here but is not ready for pickup and i was as per mentioned time in my receipt. Very very rude. They don’t know even How to talk with customer. Never again
Slow service, very rude employee at the canada post area. I contacted Canada Post moving my parcels so I can pick them up somewhere else.
Scott the Pharmacist is a ????. He met me with compassion and honesty. He did not try to upsell me or force me to buy anything we did not need. In fact the remedy was wait it out and keep our kid hydrated. I will come back again. As this type of authenticity is hard to come by. ???? keep it up Scott.
make sure that you do not get ripped off by
They close randomly whenever they feel like before midnight. Not cool man. They could update thier times at least.
The staff argue in front of customers. They are consistantly making prescription errors...
Had my son's prescription faxed over from his dermatologist yesterday went to go pick it up was told I'd have to come get it first thing in the morning and that it would be ready I got there in the morning prescription not ready and then to find out it wasn't even anything they needed to mix it was just a tube of cream they had to put a label on my son didn't sleep at all from the discomfort in amount of pain he was in because he couldn't get his prescription.
Good shoppers location. Has what you need and is located near several bus stops
I am from Kamloops and I was working out of town, I required emergency prescription medication. These folks are amazing. Big thank you to Nav !!!!
Horrible customer service by owner/pharmacist. Never a problem with other staff. Did a prescription refill by phone. Called as wasnt sure it was received and was told it was in system. Got a call to go pick it up and ran into owner who told me it wasn't in the system. I stated the above info and he told me it wasnt their store (10 years I have been getting my prescriptions there) I assured him and said I had a call from them he said must have been automated and asked me to show him the voicemessage on my phone! He found a cancelled order which I said I didnt cancel then raising his voice said well what do you want me to do. We have no order. So yelled at and accused of being a liar. Having to prove myself. Why else would I go pick up a prescription that I supposedly cancelled? Will rather travel more than a block now to get my prescriptions elsewhere.
Always good service and friendly staff
Convenience store prices on most items here. They also only have one cash open to coerce you to use the self checkout.
Good selection of products, wide variety. Checkout service can be very slow.
Purchased an Acer tablet for my son at this location. Brought it home, charged it up and tried to update it to the current version of Android so my son could start downloading some apps and games. Turns out the tablet could not update past version 4.4, because, as I discovered, this was the version of the tablet that was released in 2014! No apps would run on the device, not even Netflix. The following day, my wife went in with the receipt and explained everything to a cashier. The employee was as helpful as they could be, but needed to call you the manager, Leong. He was extremely rude and immediately confrontational, telling my wife he wouldn't exchange or refund it because we opened it and should have done our research before purchasing. My wife explained that the device was functionally useless and nowhere did the store indicate that it was 6 years old. Then he told her to call Acer, and if they refused to do anything, he might be willing to return our money to a gift card. We drove home and I decided to call Shoppers customer service. I explained the situation, and the representative called Leong and he said if we came back to the store he'd do the refund. We then had to drive all the way back, Leong came out, did not acknowledge my wife at all, did what he had to do at the till, and walked away. I'll never shop at that location again and I'll definitely never buy electronics at Shoppers again. I see from prior reviews that this manager has acted similarly to others, so that's a big red flag. This guy doesn't care about customers, only your dollars.
No enough saff at cash.
Love the shopping and the rewards.
Staff is rude I was yelled at from across the store for not wearing a mask I'm exempt the staff member embarrassed me to the point of me shopping there only when I have to she could have just asked me in private quietly the staff stands around talking half the time instead of working I sat at self checkout for nearly five minutes before someone stalking shelves had to break up their chat hour for someone to help me ... Pharmacy can never get my refills on time so I switched pharmacies the way people in this business act is gross and it represents management hire more staff that's trained in the accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities act ...
Poor customer service at the pharmacy. The lack of effort to help me with my request was zero, just a "No, we can't do that." Wasn't even busy, didn't ask one question, pharmacist never got off the chair, not another person in the store to be seen. Will not ever step into that pharmacy again.
Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Great location unless you have to deal with the lab itself. They'll make sure to make your life a nightmare with every refill.
DONE WITH THIS PHARMACY Oops, you found another completely unsuitable pharmacist! I've been run off my feet lately what with pushing myself to achieve higher goals despite my medical conditions. Had a spot of bother with getting a Rx updated but finally felt that I had got that sorted since the doc's receptionists couldn't seem to. Went to pick it up from Esquimalt Shoppers and discovered a problem. My Rx had been filled at another pharmacy! Now this is odd since I tend to stick with one pharmacy. It became even more bizarre when I learned that the pharmacy in question was downtown. The pharmacist, who was otherwise very pleasant both in person and on the phone, became quite rude and judgemental. I told the pharmacist that I had never been there. Her response? "Well you must have been." I was suddenly a drug-seeking junkie and she treated me like a liar. Ok, I get it, you guys see a lot of junkies, but try not to be nasty to your customers because someone made a mistake, mmmkay? I won't put in words what I actually think of my treatment at the hands of the pharmacists past and present here but this is the last straw. You want employees who treat your customers like they're the scum of the earth? Fine. But I won't be coming back. Other than being extremely handy to where I live this Shoppers is not one I can say much good about. Tonight I actually have something bad to say about it though: Sarcasm has NO PLACE in customer service! Please train your pharmacist. I asked a polite question. Yes, I was there earlier than she said my Rx would be ready, but what was the harm in asking? What really was the harm in saying a simple "no"? Why repeatedly make laughingly rude comments about what you obviously consider to be my stupidity? I KNOW I was early. I only asked because I live so close and happened to get there quicker than I expected. Why would I wander around the store for half an hour if my very simple Rx is actually ready? Update: I have not seen the problem pharmacist in my last few visits. The front end staff have always been friendly and polite, I should make note of that. I was quite hurt and angry when I wrote my initial review. One person should not colour my opinion of an entire business but it happens.
This Shoppers is open the latest in Victoria I believe (midnight). The pharmacy staff are helpful, warm and friendly. When I've had issues with my kids being sick they were very quick to help us. I highly recommend!
Nice staffs even it was closing time but they gave me some time to buy stuffs :)
Great staff
Good to deal with.
Always great staff knowledge about most everthing you have questions about. They will find a solution to your problems. One of the best pharmacies i have been to. Keep up the grest work.
The post office is very slow. There was only 1 person working at the time and there was a long line. Another lady came over to help the person working but wouldn’t stay on to help the line. I think it was a manager and you would think she would do her job. A customer asked for help and she replied with “I’m sorry. I’m not working in post office today” and she wouldn’t even answer a simple question. I feel bad for the one person working in the post office. Very poor customer service.
So disappointed today with shoppers, I've never had a bad experience at this location before. I came in the store just before closing and was told very rudely that they were closing. I asked if I could quickly grab what I was looking for. The item I was looking for was moved, I asked for some help I did get some help but the clerks were a little impatient, I though of one more item I needed and veered to find it until the supervisor made a rude announcement the pay for my items because they were closing. Never ever have I been treated like that anywhere. Your Supervisor needs a little patience when ushering customers out the door. I usually buy all my cosmetics there but from now on I will be shopping elsewhere.
Pharmacy is super slow filling prescriptions
Great variety of products and convenient hours.
The pharmacy staff at Shopper's drug mart were absolutely exemplary on December 27th. I left Victoria General Hospital with an antibiotic prescription to fill and they phoned 4 different locations to locate it to no avail! They called the ER Doctor to change the prescription to a similar drug which they had in stock and they filled it on the spot! Thank you Shopper's Drug Mart for taking the time, effort and care for the prescription. I would highly recommend them for all your prescription needs. I'll be using them moving forward. They have my business!
I.enjoy this friendly buisness for my family needs
Friendly and helpful staff, short line ups and easy to find products.
This lonely star goes to cashier Jessica. She needs to be trained in how to be polite give GOOD customer service (she doesn't even try) .... seen her be rude a number of times, this time the man put down his things and walked out of store!
Pharmacy staff are amazing and helpful
I like it. Sometimes getting meds is slow, but usually when that happens, it is because there is a new pharmacist. The prices are often higher than Wal-Mart, but they often have good sales and they have points. The staff are friendly and try to remember everyone's name.
went into the shoppers and stopped at the pharmacy to ask where to find a product. Person standing in front of me, looked at me then turned and walked away, no can I help you or someone will be with you. Another person in the pharmacy quickly came over and helped me find my product. one rude person and one very helpful person.
The staff at this Shoppers Drug Mart are always so friendly. Even when they're extremely busy they still seem to take the time to notice the small things. I appreciate that.
Prices are outrageous. Some items are 25% more than most other stores. However, that is management and most of the staff are friendly.
I am very disappointed with shoppers drug Mart this is the third time they have not filled my prescription I’ve been running out of meds you should get your you know what together or I’ll take my business somewhere else and I’ve been with shoppers for five years now very disappointing.
Service is reasonable depending on the pharmacist. However you won't get the $20 cash payment that Jarred the pharmacist gives you everytime you bring your methadone prescription into the STS pain pharmacy.
Carry electronic items very little
Ive been going to this shoppers for a year now and the cashier supervisor Elizabeth is sooo rude, she never says hello or goodbye...cant even acknowlege her customers..like thats the bare minimum rule of customer service ...im always so annoyed when i leave after how she treats us as customers
Friendly place.
Was in and out quickly, staff were very friendly and helpful
Just went to the post office here, it was a good experience with fast service.
I went to make an appointment to get a flu shot and got one right away. Thank you to the pharmacist - I learned later on the news that is was National Pharmacist Day. Thank you for all the work you do!!!
very unimpressed. went to fill a prescription today. was told it would take 1/2h, took over 1h 5min. after 35min I was told it would be 1 min longer and they hadn't even started mixing it yet. I was in a rush and would have appreciated more honesty than that. when it was ready there was no paperwork included that usually explains what the medication is for and side effects etc... neither the pharmacist nor the pharmacy assistant took any bit of time to explain the medication, how often to take it, etc... very disappointing and lacking in customer service.
Terrible. Bought a perfume set, did not open it. When I tried to return it the sales rep at the cosmetic counter Kalisha?? said I opened it and used it. NOT TRUE. I asked to see the manager. When I explained the situation the manager said there were signs saying it was a final sale, there were not any at the time of purchase, and said the package was damaged and opened, NOT TRUE. I am a long time customer and usually have no issues with Shoppers. However I will no longer be going to Shoppers in Esquimalt because of their customer service. TO MANY EXCUSES GIVEN AND TO MUCH BLAMING ME. I returned it at other Shoppers with no problem. Bad experience and you lost a customer.
Maybe switch the store hours on all the signage to show your actual hours drove all the way here thinking they are open til midnight just to find out they are closed
Usually go here as it's close to home, but after my latest visit I'll be advising everyone I know to steer clear. I was making my purchase with help from the awesome cashier, when I noticed a senior worker standing less than two feet away from him, scanning lotto tickets. Her nose was uncovered the entire time. I made a comment before leaving, saying "not to be rude, but the mask works a lot better covering your nose". She retorted "make sure you tell everyone" and scoffed as I was leaving. This is unacceptable for a pharmacy serving seniors (vulnerable people). Please take covid seriously. Until then, I won't be back. Sincerely, Disgusted.
phone number posted on shoppers site goes to fax. unable to call.
Good selection and great hours but they often only have one cashier working up front and it's at the counter where tobacco and lottery tickets are sold so the lineup generally moves about the speed of a glacier. They do usually call someone in to open another till when the line gets long but that can take awhile and it's frustrating if you're just buying one or two things and are in a hurry.
Great staff! Great service!
When they did not have enough stock, they did not tell me there was an owing balance. I drove out to work and they would not honour the owing balance. They short changed my drug but charged the full price.
This store I personally didn't care for. I went in to get a prescription filled and I was told to come back the next day and pick it up. When I went there the next day, not only was it not ready but they hadn't even started it. So I will switch drug stores.
Great selection, great people, good prices. Corporate won't let them open more than 1 till (to encourage "self check-out") so a bit slow at peek times.
Fast and good service 10/10 would recommend
You get great service
This is the WORST Shopper's Drug Mart I have ever been inside. The pharmacy staff are unprofessional. They will only refax my doctor after 1o days if the doctor does not respond. When speaking with my doctor she said she never received a fax from them and was concerned over the 10 day wait to refax.
the young tall brown haired girl in cosmetics is so warm and very helpful. she had such a *girl power* "you go girl" attitude. loved her! -Amanda
Store #2213 please remove John from Beauty. His attitude is terrible, he hates people, and seems to hate his job. This comment does not come from one isolated event or experience, have witnessed and experienced many.
I would rate 3.5 to be exact. Most staff are helpful and friendly with the exception of the pharmacist 'Randy'. Every time I have to deal with this condescending, power tripping, holier than thou attitude and total absence of any customer service, i come away feeling like I have been such a huge inconvenience to his entire life and that if I hadn't of fought for what I went in for I wouldn't have gotten it at all. I know of two other people who have had similar problems with this gentleman and have made formal complaints against him. They have good deals on cookies a lot of the time, too. Which makes up for some.
Place sells out of date food. Nice quality control.
Their weekly flyer has started to include offers that require you to install their spyware app on your cell phone.
Up until an hour ago I would have given a rave review, but a friend of mine was reduced to tears because of the reprehensible way she was treated there. You might want to train or retrain your staff on tact and diplomacy. Not every skinny person is a drug addict looking to steal, she hasn't stolen a thing in your store or any store for that matter. As for the beeping through the security doors she has metal rods in her back that were a consequence of physical abuse which you would have learned had she been given the opportunity. Shame on you for jumping to conclusions and blatantly whispering about her. I have been a long time every day customer as well as she has and will not be returning to this location.
So frustrated, store owner Ana Lees unapologetic, 3 weeks to get monthly medical supplies, put you on hold and forget about you, no advance phone call of delivery, not at home, product goes back to store and nobody calls you to follow up, told my phone was out of service, wrong product ordered - have to wait another 3 weeks UNBELIEVABLE!!! Switching to REXALL, they can have product in store within 2 days of request and free delivery, talking with them on the phone, they asked if it would be okay to put me on hold - at last - some courtesy!
Awesome place to shop, lots of great sales and friendly staff.
pharmact big let down since new owner. everymonth there is a problem, cancelled one of my meds for no reason , meds that have been taking for years, without Dr. o.k. or even checking with me or anything. will be changing pharmacy, had enough of having deal with withouth them adding more stress to my life. very dissapointed and someone needs to check up on them to find what the problem is there right now.
Sign outside says open til 6. When i called to refill script i needed tonight i said id like to be there around 5:30 and they said see you then. Closed at 5 and i dont have an important medication i need for HS.
Refused service for a flu shot because they were "too busy." Disgraceful, I'll be sure to submit a formal complaint. I'll never return here for prescriptions or other household goods. There was no line of customers, and four people working.
Store often does not honor the advertised items in their flyers. - Cream 2 for $3 in flyer but $3.09 on the shelf ( staff : - sorry error in printing - no sale bacon anywhere in sight in the morning of the first day of the sale Wife has to get stuff but I will wait until Loblaws and Shoppers develop an honesty streek.
Didn't shop there took a friend
I love shoppers, but I am sick of going into this particular one. EVERY time I get held up with the new cashier ladies. They take absolutely forever, get distracted by everything, like to talk about each other's personal lives right in front of you instead of serve you. UPDATE: seems this issue has been addressed and have not had a problem since! Thank you guys, not sure if it was this review but I am thankful for it nonetheless.
