I was super nervous and worried before taking my senior pics at Tumbleston, but once I was in there with Taylor K., the photographer, I felt so much more comfortable and confident that my pictures would turn out really well. She was super sweet and helpful in guiding me with the picture taking process, she helped me pose and smile so that the pictures would look nice and even fixed my hair when strands were in the way. I had a really fun time and so did my mom being able to help choose which background I should go to next. Taylor would also let me look through the photos and see if I wanted to take more or if I was satisfied with the selection. 12/10 would go again.

My experience at the Tumbleston Photography Studio in West Ashley is definitely worthy of a five star rating because of the receptionist Jadea who guided me through the payment process as well as the paperwork ( which isn't a lot ) and My photographer Julia who was so welcoming and friendly that it made me open up and led to me having a good time. And a few other good things about my experience were that the session was quick and didn't take long and that the environment was relaxed while still being able to maintain a certain level of professionalism.

Tracy did a wonderful job on a very old photo that we found in my mother-in-law's house after she died. The edges were torn, ripped and scratched, and I wasn't sure how anyone could repair it. The old photo was rather large and no one in our area could 'scan' it as they didn't have 'flatbed scanners', just ones that our destroy the old paper (it was very brittle). It was scary to 'trust' sending this photo a long distance (I live in the Northeast), but she was so reassuring, that I took the plunge and did it! It looks beautiful. I wish my MIL was alive to see this, but her family will be thrilled when they get their copies of this photo. Thanks again, Tracy! You're the BEST (and the price was very resonable too!)

The experience was great once you are able to get them on the phone to make an appointment. You have to keep calling and calling in order to reach someone, do not leave a message they never called me back. I just had to keep calling. The folks that work there when we went was great. But the photos are very expensive. They need to realize that there are parents who have more than one child, some parents cannot afford to pay a sitting fee and purchase lunch for their child/children that week. Every child that is graduating want their picture in the school’s year book. But in order for that to happen you have to pay that sitting fee. The first thing on my priority list, immediately following locking in the venue and date, was choosing a photographer. I knew the wedding day would come and go which is why it was even more important to me, to have timeless pictures that would capture it all. From the moment I contacted Corey, of Tumbleston Photography, I felt confident that my pictures would turn out phenomenally. His vast knowledge of our venue and surrounding parks and picturesque settings was initially what was so comforting. He was very thorough in assessing my hopes; expectations, bridal party size and family dynamic to ensure everything would go smoothly. He was very flexible to work with, especially while my planner had to alter our wedding day timeline a few times! He first met us on the big day at the salon while the girls and I were all getting ready- he is so friendly and laid back that we didn’t even feel like we were taking pictures yet! We were eventually a bit late wrapping up with the salon before the first look, but he has a very calming presence and made me feel at ease that we would still be able to get all the pictures we had planned. We even had an unexpected rainstorm come through, but as it cleared, Corey made sure to fit into the evening any other pictures we may have missed due to the rain. Truly one of the best decisions we made was to hire Corey and Tumbleston Photography to capture our special day. He is absolutely an incredible photographer and we were beyond ecstatic with the outcome of our wedding pictures. Corey is able to capture beautiful moments, full of emotion, and his work is impeccable. His friendly and funny nature makes him a pleasure to work with. My now husband, and father for that matter, is not generally ecstatic or cooperative while taking pictures. Their candid smiles, laughter and excitement that Corey and his team captured- from getting ready through the end of the evening- are truly breathtaking. He is the perfect person to have around on your wedding day! I am endlessly grateful to Corey for creating beautiful memories for us and for our families that we will always treasure; for the close personal attention he paid us, and for the great care, effort, and attention to detail he puts into his work with couples before, during, and after the wedding day. I would recommend getting the level 3 package so you can have 2 different outfits for senior pictures (not including formal). Kelly you are amazing! Thank you for making the session lots of fun! I met my daughter at the new location in Sam Rittenberg Blvd. We were greeted promptly in the reception area, completed the information for the session and Kelly (our photographer) took us to the back. First, Kelly made sure to explain what was about to happen and set the expectations of the session. She helped my daughter with her look, hair and the different poses for the yearbook's Senior pictures. From my stand point, I thought the pictures would be ok, but once I saw the preview on Kelly's camera; I was blown away. They were actually phenomenal. After the glamorous senior shots were taken, we began changing sets and playing around to get the best shots possible. She even took some of Madi and I laughing and talking together. Kelly made my daughter feel super comfortable and made the session fun for all of us. All throughout, Kelly made sure that the session was a fun collaboration of ideas between us. You can very easily tell that Kelly loves what she does and enjoys making people smile. Next time I want family pictures, I will request Kelly to be our photographer. She has great ideas and an amazing eye for the perfect shot. Kelly, I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful job you did. Tumbleston is blessed to have you. I have to add that the new location is a big upgrade from the previous location. The place is pristine, tastefully decorated and the views are absolutely stunning.

Jessica was a wonderful photographer. Sadly, the costumer service needs some work. I called to see how long they are open for me to review my photos to get told that they are open till 7. I called the next day to confirm, (the day I was going to come in) to get told that they are only open till 5 for photo review. So I set an appointment, I repeated the date and time. I call before my time on that day, to confirm, no problems. I arrived at the location and get told my appointment was yesterday. I still got to review my pictures but, the system needs to be checked and employees informed. Other than that the pictures were great and the photographer was a wonderful person and a great photographer. The costumer service needs to repeat the time they heard to make sure miscommunications can not happen and not only that but to make sure all employees know the times they are open. I’ve heard 9-5 and 9-7 from different people. That’s a 2 hr difference that can cause problems, my mother and I have 2 different schedules. Heading 9-7 is wonderful for her, but 9-5 she would have to take off. She came home early the day I confirmed for nothing. That cannot happen in most families. So please try to make sure that all employees know that the times are 9-5 and to repeat date and time to avoid confusion and miscommunication. That would be great.

We have been using Tumbleston Photography for the past several years. When taking family pictures, it is very important that the children be relaxed and happy. Using their enthusiasm and creative props, they have always managed to get excellent quality pictures of the kids. While other photographers advertise less expensive rates and specials, the quality that I receive from Tumbleston's outweighs any special. I have never been disappointed and always feel I get more than my money's worth. We have used Tumbleston's for our annual pictures of our girls and had them photograph a couple of weddings. Both of my children had their senior high school portraits taken here. The fees are reasonable and you get a lot of poses / options even with the lower tier packages. There are also a couple of pokestops you can reach from the building if there is a wait. The personnel staffing the main front desk that helped us were all very friendly and competent and we are delighted with our printed photos. Highly recommend!

The cost is HORRENDOUS. $149 for three pictures?!?! Then we paid $45 for 15 minutes of pictures that is NON-REFUNDABLE! They are just an assembly line photographer. I genuinely believe money was exchanged under the table between the school district and this studio. Since no one can choose any other studio, we simply elected not to buy any. We will choose a better studio for our own senior pictures. The sudio can try to justify the cost, but in reality they hold a monopoly on the school pictures and because of that they are giving it to you and breaking it off.

We have only done the newborn session, and I was so pleased with the experience and the results. We had our session in the studio. The photographers were like baby whisperers with my newborn. They gently coaxed her into all sorts of precious poses. They were flexible and incorporated my suggestions, props, and outfits into our time. My older son and husband came along, and we got some beautiful pictures of the whole family together. The photographers were warm and professional, and I felt very calm for having a toddler and newborn to coordinate. About six years ago my wife and I had family portraits done with her mother, our three children and their spouses, and at that time 9 grandchildren. Everyone raves over them still, and they are the centerpiece of our living area. The photographer was truly professional and we had more than enough images to choose from to get just what we wanted. We just had our 50th anniversary photographs taken - larger staff, but same personal, professional service with many choices for printing. The staff is great in choosing the best poses, touching up anything unflattering, even recommending sizes and groupings. You can find lower prices, but you can't find a better value.

We had a wonderful experience today at the studio! I have three Seniors and they all worked wonderfully to get us in and out of there in a very timely manner. Each of my children had their own photographers and they were Emily, Tara and Renee. They were really busy today so I didn’t even bother to ask them to do some casual shots of all three of my kids together but they suggested it and even worked together to see that it got done! My kids were very comfortable with all the staff and I can’t wait to see the results!!!

The service at the front desk was pretty good and fast with the paperwork, but the crown jewel of the experience was our photographer Joseph. He was fun to talk with and was very helpful in prepping me up for pictures. He even manages to get your good side no matter of your flaw in the picture. He was quite informative and knowledgeable with our questions at the end of our pictures and helped us understand the procedures of the pictures coming in. Would come again.

Tumbleston photography did an amazing job with my son’s senior pictures. We added on the outdoor photo shoot. Jalen was his in studio photographer. He was AMAZING. You should ask for him by name! He was patient with my son, put him at easy, and offered to let me see photos periodically on his camera to see if it was what we liked. ALL the photos he made were AMAZING!!! For the outside pictures we chose downtown. The photographer there was just as attentive and REALLY helped position my son to get the best light and to capture him smiling. (My son is very serious!) The photographer downtown was Corey. Very professional, took his time, and waited until cars and people were out of the background! He even offered to take a mother son and son photo. I cannot say enough good things about them. I would recommend taking 2 outfits to the studio and do NOT wear sunglasses that leave marks on your face before. We made this mistake but had enough time for the line to go away. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH TUMBLESTON!!!!

Tumbleston photographed my daughter's wedding at The Belmond Charleston Place in July and they did an OUTSTANDING job! It was a small, but luxurious wedding with a formal rehearsal dinner and reception dinner. Corey (the photographer) captured every moment of the events. The still pictures of the bride were exquisite and the lighting was simply magical. We had invested a lot on flowers to make the event space seem "special" and the photographs captured that perfectly. Corey took special time with us to make sure he knew exactly what we expected from our photographs and the exact shots we wanted, so he would not miss anything. He delivered perfectly. All of the casual shots were just wonderful and made you feel like you were there all over again. I HIGHLY recommend Tumbleston for any event that you need an exceptional photographer!!!

Working with Amy Tumbleston at Tumbleston Photography Studios was so extremely smooth. We had a team conference with about 50 folks and Amy was able to accommodate everything we asked. Amy was extremely great at communication and I could not have asked to work with anyone better! She was at the venue early and stayed a little later just to make sure everyone had an opportunity to get a photo. On top of all this she went through each photo after the event, chose the best one, did touch-ups where needed, individually named each photo by individual name, and got me the link within a couple days.

I was amazed at the beautiful restoration Tracy did on a large portrait of my husband's great-great grandfather. The original portrait was done in the mid-nineteenth century and had suffered terribly from age, moisture, mildew, and probably the occasional cockroach. Tracy conferred with us mid-process to make sure her work was satisfactory before continuing, and the final product was incredible -- more beautiful than we had dared hope for. My daughter just completed her Senior photos with JILLIAN. Jillian was awesome to work with. She knows how to work with teen girls, assisting with hair. Traditional graduation photos were taken with the black drape and the cap and gown. We also had photos done in my daughter’s basketball uniform. Jillian was great at coming up with ideas for the basketball photos and the casual photos. The photos taken outside were fantastic, even with the overcast sky and terrible humidity. She was a trooper! Thank you, Jillian!
