Shotz photography was very easy to work with while doing a Maternity shoot for me and my wife. Customer service was excellent and timely. The photographer was easy to work with, very patient and accommodated 4 outfit changes in one hour. We slightly went above 1 hour but the photographer did not rush us and kept taking pictures. pricing was very good compared to other places. Only critique I would say is that, they could improve on their photoshop/editing of the pictures. However most of the pictures looked great ! loved the selection they gave us and would be framing some. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This is an excellent place to have your photos made, the wife and I also my two daughters went there, they are very helpful, they try to understand exactly what you are looking for while giving you the best deal, they don't pressure you into buying the top packages, I know when I need more photos taken I will be returning to this place, definitely recommend it to everyone!

Had an appointment with them today, it started ON TIME! There was no waiting to be seen. Staff is extremely friendly especially with children. They were really patient with my 3 rugrats. Staff made us comfortable and we took our time with our shoot. We weren't rushed. Getting my prints before I left was also a huge plus. They turned out really good. I would recommend them to anyone. Awesome job!

Their photographer has the knack. All parents know what I'm talking about. If you have kids that seldom sit still longer than 10 seconds, let alone look at the camera, they have the magic here. Got great pictures.

I have used Shotz before to do a family photo that includes our small Maltese dog. Both times the photographer was professional, and took a lot of time going through the photos, and cropping them and using Photo Shop. They were very patient and helpful. I like that they gave a 10% discount to teachers and military also. This experience we did have a spot of lint on one pose which was noticed after we got home. When we called, they were so nice and reprint the pose that was affected, and even went beyond with some extra photos that we did not request reprinting on. So they really wanted to make sure we were satisfied. Shotz stands behind their photography, and we be back!

I took my 1 year old son to get his 1st birthday pictures there. It was very last minute but they had an opening that day at the exact time I wanted. They had a "Daily Deal" going on with the Virginian-Pilot so I bought that package. They were very professional, no wait to be seen, so patient with my son who was less-than-photogenic, were able to get my son to smile in quite a few pictures and what BEAUTIFUL pictures they were! They had TONS of props (more props than I have EVER seen!) and so many cute ideas for photographs. They downloaded all the pictures in front of me and we went through each and every picture to determine which ones I liked on a LARGE Apple monitor. They edited the pictures in front of me too. The pictures were printed out in just a few minutes. So pleased, very thrilled and I want to scream from the roof-top how wonderful this place and the people are! It is family-owned and operated. In this day and age, it's hard to find individuals that care and aim to please! Highly recommend this family and studio! :)

This place blew me away! We've been to JCPenney and Picture People in the past and after trying Shotz through a Groupon this is the only studio for my family from here on out. The family running this business were professional, personable and patient. The photo session felt like teamwork and with a 1yr old and a 4 year old I finally managed to get beautiful pictures without being frazzled out of my mind by the time I left. The price for our whole package was comparable to the places we've gone before, but the kids toys in the play area and them putting on a movie for my girls while we reviewed the shots really put them over the top.

I have been to Shotz twice. The first time was back in June for family portraits (myself, husband, and then 18 month old), and then we went back today to take my daughter's Christmas/Birthday photos. I am SO impressed with the studio. The entire staff is so warm and welcoming, and they make both my daughter and my husband and I feel so comfortable and relaxed. The pictures always turn out amazing, and everyone has a good time in the process. Plus, you get to leave with your order in hand! Where else does that happen?! If you're looking for a place for pictures where you are going to be treated like family and not charged an arm and a leg, this is the place for you! I really cannot say enough good things about Shotz! I am not normally one to go and write reviews, but this place is so great, I have to spend time to brag about them! We will be customers for as long as the Navy has us in the area. Amazing!

I'd driven past Shotz Portrait Studio before and decided to look them up. Reviews were positive about pricing, quality of pictures, and availability after the session, so I decided to take a chance and schedule an appointment. I'm so happy I did! The people at Shotz were professional, friendly, and helpful. Kenny was our photographer. He was very patient with all of the different requests we had and we had a blast shooting outside. We sat down with him and chose the pictures we liked. We were able to get our pictures online in about two hours after we left. We have used Shotz since our son was a newborn every time has been fantastic. The staff is great and we always get more terrific photos than we know what to do with. This time we did an outdoor shoot at Bennet’s Creek Park and we ended up with over 70 photos that we could use.

I had the best experience for my family photos. They were very patient with us and they actually took there time to listen to what we wanted. Jeff was amazing, and his lovely assistant as well. His mom was also great in helping me pick out my pictures. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It's also family owned and operated. I will definitely be back.

Jeff is awesome, very professional and friendly. He's the only reason for the 3 stars. His mother is rude, and the reason I can't give 5 stars. I was asking Jeff about one of my sons pictures, he's telling me a bubble was edited off his head and she comes up asking "what do you need?"(if im not talking to you why are you in our conversation?) I let it go, as im showing her his picture she says "his head is back, but I'll fix it" and turns away as though I had bugging her about it. Anyone with an eye could see there was a 'dip' at the top of his head. I've been taking my son there since he was a baby but we won't be returning. I don't know if she was just having a bad day but regardless there was no need for attitude, it was unprofessional. She should really learn how to speak to people
