Jacqie is awesome! We were really worried that our baby wouldn't cooperate for the photos but Jacqie had a heater on in her studio and it was super cozy in there. She was so good with my 2 weeks old son and very patient. She took photos of him as well as a few of my husband and I with our son. The photos came out beautifully and I appreciate the care and time she took with our infant.

This is a key skill for photographers to posses as during weddings you need them to take candid shots in a moments notice. I had wondered how she could be so quick and as if we did not put enough time into it, but her work proved me wrong. I wish I had known better and hired her for the entire wedding time. Above all, Jacqie seemed to care for my session just as much as I did. She even put extra time and effort into getting the shots I wanted. YOU NEED HER! I have known Jacqie for most of my life and she was meant for this. She has captured magic in my family for over 12 years. I have so many stories- but I am going to share one of the most recent: I was blessed to have Jacqie by my side as I birthed my daughter. She came with her camera- but I think she knew I needed her there for much more than her camera. Having Jacqie in my delivery room was a blessing on so many levels. Obviously the photos are amazing- they were one of the steps in my healing process- and I have one on my bedside table to remind me of strength. I had a complicated birth- not physically- but emotionally. Jacqie filled a magnitude of roles that day. She was strong, competent, calm, and encouraging. She reminded me how to breathe- I knew how to breathe (this was my 3rd birth)- but I was emotionally broken and I could not breath- until she reminded me. She looked me in the eyes and helped me remember that I WAS strong enough to do this- when I decided that I wasn't. She gave direction to my other supports about how they could really help me. She advocated for me with the hospital staff in a way that was respectful and appropriate yet assertive and in a "taking control manner. She empowered me. She convinced me that I could birth my baby the way I wanted- and I did! (100% naturally in a tub!). I have photos to remind me of the beauty of my daughter’s birth. Photos that show the love my best friend poured into me that day. A photo of my son cutting the umbilical cord. The photo of the moment my daughter was laid in my arms and I felt like a super human. There was so much love in that room. I needed her in that room. You do too.-- This review talks about her awesomeness in the birthing room as a photographer and a doula. Her professionalism and contagious energy during a wedding is something you certainly do not want to miss. If you are going to spend money on ONE THING- make it investing in her! Photographs are the one tangible thing you have when the whirlwind of a day is over. As for senior sessions and family sessions- she does not shy away from the crazy toddlers or the teenagers with attitude- she brings out the best in each of them! Call her now!

I cannot overstate how happy I am to have found Jacqie Q Photography for my newborn pictures. The session was amazing, the pictures are perfect, and we cannot wait to continue our relationship with Jacqie in order to document our family as it grows and changes. I think all new moms are probably a little nervous about having a photography session just days after giving birth. I was no exception. I was still trying to figure out how to care for this brand new baby and not feeling great about my body at the same time. But the session with Jacqie was so much fun! We had a really relaxed time, she got the baby to sleep no problem, and my husband and I got to rest and just watch our baby curled up napping. And the pictures of us were done perfectly. I actually like them and I never like pictures of myself! The results of the session were better than we could have imagined. Jacqie went above and beyond for my wedding day. Not only did she capture the most amazing photos but she was practically an assistant day-of coordinator. I'll never forget when my actual day-of coordinator told me our plan B location (it poured rain the entire day of my wedding) wasn't going to have an isle me for me to walk down - I was pushing back tears when Jacqie said "oh, you're going to have an isle." She marched over to our ceremony location and had people move chairs to make an isle. On top of that, she was jumping in and out of the pouring rain to capture photos. Our bride/groom parties and parents all commented on how amazing she was and the photos came out beautifully. On top of all that she was beyond easy to work with, very communicative and flexible. As someone who hates having their picture taken, having a photo session is not my idea of fun. That is, until I met Jacqie. Last year shortly after combining households, my small blended family decided we needed family pictures. I searched online for hours for a photographer and once I saw Jacqie's website I knew she was the photographer I wanted. I could tell from her portfolio that she doesn't just take pictures, she captures feelings on film. When I contacted her she was quick to respond, friendly and answered so many questions I had. During our family portrait session she made us all feel relaxed, comfortable, beautiful and most of all we had fun. She listened, supported, accommodated and was so patient with my "photo-phobia." She calmed my fears of photos and by the end of the session I felt like she was an old friend I had known for years. The photos were amazing, natural and really reflected who we are as a family. I was impressed with how quickly she had our online album ready for viewing and the high quality of the prints (order prints through her, the difference in quality is unbelievable!) Last month when we got engaged the first thing I knew I wanted was Jacqie as our photographer. Our wedding is 2 years away, but I contacted Jacqie right away because there is no other person I would want to capture our most special day. I want her there as a photographer because I know the pictures will be perfect, but I also want her there for her positive energy and calming presence. She is truly wonderful, as a photographer and a person.
