*I cannot speak to the quality of products, just my experience in the preliminary phase of discussion/contract* I was looking for a wedding photographer for a wedding out of the city, a bit far. I liked the style of photos and the pictures they had up on their website so I reached out. We are having an unconventional wedding so we did not want a typical coverage schedule, we had a detailed zoom call and were happy with how it went. However, when we received the contract it was not at all reflective of that conversation. We had expressed the need for coverage of our wedding reception, specifically speeches, but in the contract it had stated that there would be no coverage for the reception. I was willing to move around the hours and schedule to make it work, but grey loft was not willing to, citing loss business on the Sunday. I understand where they are coming from in this sense and none of this would have been an issue if there was transparency in the initial call, or even in communication when we received the contract. But finding this out by carefully reading the contract was deeply upsetting and unprofessional, especially as we were eager to commit. I would caution people to read the contracts closely and inquire about every question they have, for us that transparency and communication just was not there and had I not caught that before signing the contract, I would have been missing out on the coverage of half of my wedding.

Bethany & Luc are awesome! We first met at the Wedding Show in 2019 and decided to book an engagement session shortly there after. The weather ended up changing quickly that day and it became overcast and rainy. I had already had my hair and makeup done so we decided to go forward. We booked the video portion of our engagement session and Bethany and Luc surprised us by taking more photos alongside with video. This is my experience: I received an email from this company offering a discounted rate towards videography. I inquired that I was interested and they offered us a deal for both photography and videography. They offered us 8 hours of coverage for $3,000 plus HST. We emailed back and forth about the wedding date and then we spoke on the phone. Bethany thought our date was October this year for some reason and I clarified that it was October 2020 (as stated in our emails). She said that was fine and we kept chatting and going over my questions and what they would offer us. A bit of a red flag when we spoke on the phone and she asked me about what other photographers/videographers work I was looking at. I named a few and she said she had seen one persons work and her reply was “ughh, not good”. Not something a professional business would do, but I ignored it. At the end of the conversation, she asked if I would like her to write up a contract and when we would know by. I told her we would be making a decision in the next few days and she said ok perfect I will have it expire in a week. In my opinion, when you send out a CONTRACT it is because you have agreed to work with this client (HENCE THE REASON IT WILL EXPIRE WITHIN A WEEK). I emailed her again the next day to follow up and ask if she had the chance to write it up for us and she sent me a reply that she had already given the date away. She said she had already sent out 2 contracts the week before for this SAME DATE. She never once made me aware of this throughout our whole conversation and was still prepared to honor our date and send a THIRD contract for us. It seems as though they just did not want to do our wedding at the original quote they offered us, even though it was THEIR mistake! We spoke on the phone at 10pm the night before and someone booked the same date the next morning?? Sounds untrustworthy. I am glad this did not move forward with all of these RED FLAGS!

I had the pleasure of having a newborn session with Bethany a couple of days ago. It was a wonderful experience. Her studio is beautiful and roomy. She has a private area for moms to feed their babies, for toddlers to play, to change babies or just to take a break. The props she uses are beautiful and original and she has so many different outfits/wraps to choose from. Both of my children were acting pretty difficult during the scheduled time, but Bethany demonstrated patience and kindness with both- although I’m sure it must have been frustrating for her. She had little cars handy for my son and managed to bribe him to smile for a couple of photos. Once he was “done” she invited him to play with her son and his train set while her husband entertained my husband. My daughter would not sleep and was very cranky—Bethany tried every trick in the book to try to calm her and help her sleep so I could get the best possible pictures. She even extended our session by an hour to try and make it work, taking away her own time with her children. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend her services for anyone looking to do any kind of photos. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and as a result produces absolutely beautiful photos.

Our experience with Bethany Amanda photography during our wedding in December 2017 was simply fantastic. The end result amazing and some of the photos were surprisingly impressive even in low light situations. Clearly she is up to date with the latest state of the art photography equipment but technology alone will not capture the moments the way she does. Bethany possesses the Artistic gift of taking pictures at the right moment, precise angle, appropriate background and immortalize a slice of your time which will never happen again in real life. I have had nothing but great experiences and amazing artistic photography results produced by Bethany. Her photography studio is an inviting, professional and clean environment which offers diversified ranges of backgrounds, colors, lighting exposures and special effects. I was reluctant at first when my step daughter wanted to invest in photo shots to celebrate her 16th Birthday but I was actually impressed with the end results. She had fun during the entire session and Bethany displayed such patience and easy to follow coaching of movements, eye focus, facial expression etc. I have recommended her services to many friends, colleague and family members without any hesitation in the past. In fact, I trusted Bethany with my own wedding which took place yesterday afternoon. Yes that's right, Dec 12, 2017 during the first real snow storm in Ottawa and against all odds for obtaining successful wedding pictures representing once in a Life Time snapshot memories... She somehow took advantage of the natural elements and surrounding cast to create amazing from simple, impressive from normal and deliver memories forever captured in a moment of time. From the very first contact, Bethany was so quick to get back to us and wanted to meet with us, which we loved since this was a big day, and we wanted everything to be perfect. Her studio is lovely and she had albums and prints with slideshows of other weddings she had done. A few weeks before the wedding she sent us a timeline, even offered so submit our photos to a wedding magazine if we wanted! This was way more than we expected and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Luc, her husband and second shooter was also very good to work with, I know the guys had lots of fun with him too! We can't recommend both of them enough! They go above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and never forgot any details. Viewing the pictures, only a few short weeks afterwards and designing the album was by far the best. We chose a beautiful 30 pages, and we printed a few for our walls, and she had all samples available for us to choose from. Be sure to give her a call, you can't find full service like this anymore!!
