I heard a lot about Racquel over the years. She is known as the OG hair and makeup artist in the BC wedding industry. She was the first person I contacted when we were picking wedding dates over two years ago. I knew I could trust her work. I can not explain in words how amazing it was working with her. She is very personable and made me feel so comfortable and special throughout my trial and wedding day. During my hair and makeup trial I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to wear a tikka or just sindoor for my wedding. She did the trial with both looks and uploaded pictures on her website for me to see. Even after my trial I would get messages from her at random times with pros and cons of wearing a sindoor vs a tikka. She’d also send pictures with both looks to help me come to a decision. She is a perfectionist who goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for your big day. What I loved most was that she was able to do the exact look I asked for. She enhanced my features while still making sure I looked like myself. Everyone was amazed at how flawless my hair and makeup was throughout the day. Even after an intense doli cry session my make up was essentially unchanged. Due to Covid we moved our reception to later this year and I cannot wait to get dolled up by Racquel again. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who wants an exceptionally talented artist to make them look flawless for their special day.

This might be late as I had booked Racquel in September 2021 but wow she is great. I booked Racquel for both my events wedding and reception, I have to say it was absolutely a amazing experience. I love how Racquel is informative, creative, experienced and understanding it goes a long way in making brides like myself feel relaxed and so well taken care of. She was so sweet and welcoming it started with the trial which allowed me to see the looks before hand and alter to what the finished look should look like. I loved how she provided her feedback and it helped me figure out what I wanted. I have to say, I had no idea what I wanted for the reception but after looking at my outfit Racquel pulled out a look that she hadn't done but had wanted to do for a while. I really trusted Racquel and the reason to why, is that she really listens to her clients and addresses everything which allows the process to be fun and relaxing. In the trial session, Racquel goes through your look entirely with your jewellery and accessories it makes a difference she was able to alter some of mine and showed me how it looked, can I say she's like superwoman. I loved my make up and hair do for both of my events and glad that I picked Racquel she truly is a genuine make up artist that gives you all the attention.

After looking at the reference pictures that Raquel provided me (which were very useful) I decided to change the look for the hair after the trial and she gave me a call to go over the new look to make sure I was comfortable. I recently took makeup lessons from Racquel and I loved every minute of it. Racquel is so sweet, professional and talented. She did my wedding makeup 11 years ago, so when I decided I wanted to take lessons I knew I had to learn from the best. She went step by step, explaining everything very well and was very patient with me. Racquel did the impossible, taught me how to do a wing eyeliner. I started off as the ultimate newbie and I am proud to say that I am SO comfortable playing around with makeup now. One of the worst makeup artist in the industry. Raquel is unprofessional and lacks basic skills as a makeup artist. I'm surprised people are still hiring her after all these years. Why waste your hard earned money when there are amazing talented artists like Pink Orchid, Blue Rose Artistry and Beauty Call. Raquel's typical 90's makeup look for brides needs to go!

I hired Racquel as my hair/makeup artist for my wedding and reception in 2020. Unfortunately, due to Covid I had to reschedule but she was very accommodating and understanding of the situation. Her trials (which are included) are extremely helpful. She takes her time to listen to you and make any changes, and also makes recommendations that might help with your look. She is fun to be around, and makes you feel at ease on your wedding morning. My makeup and hair was exactly how I wanted, and it lasted the entire time. I didn’t have to do any touch-up’s. Like many other brides this year, I also had to postpone and re-book my events, however, Racquel was really accommodating and made the entire process of rebooking less stressful. It was absolutely amazing working with Racquel from my rehearsal day to the reception night. During my trial I had told Racquel about how sensitive my eyes were and that every time I got my makeup done from an artist the eyes would not stop watering. My favourite thing was taking tea breaks, having aloo wali roti, sharing recipes and stories about life. She makes you feel very special and well taken care of!! (She even put on my shoes for me because I couldn’t do it myself with my outfit on). She is also an amazing photographer and captures the best pictures of you! Especially with the help of her husband (aka PAPA). I got so many compliments on my hair and make up for both of my events. The looks she created were perfect in every way. We had a lot of good laughs throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend her to any bride. She is the BEST and extremely TALENTED.

I booked her for Sangeet, Wedding and Reception. Right from the beginning, I was very impressed by her professionalism and attention to detail about the kind of look I had in my mind. Unlike other cookie-cutter make-up artists, who do the same thing on everyone, her work is very individualized. She has a high tech system that allows you to upload inspiration photos so she gets an idea of what you like before your trial. I was a covid bride and had to go through postponing and re-booking with her, which all happened seamlessly. During my trial she was very thorough and went through ideas about my wedding and reception looks. She took the time to study my facial features and made sure her make-up complimented my features. As I have slightly hooded eyes, she was the first make-up artist ever that I have worked with, who correctly identified not to put a heavy eyeliner on my eyes. This goes to show her extensive experience in the field and her talent for make-up artistry. I knew there and then, I was in good hands. After the rehearsal, she was very open to all the feedback and made sure she incorporated everything on the final day. I got so many compliments on my sangeet, wedding and reception make-up! The looks she created for me were perfect in every way. We had 1.5 hours to change from wedding to reception look, but she was up to the challenge and did an amazing job! She was kind enough to even dab my husband with some make-up when his forehead got stained, right before our reception. We had so much fun together and we talked about everything under the sun. I found her to be very personable and friendly. She pays attention to each and every detail and delivers her best. She has extensive experience in the field (over 17 years) and is extremely talented. I recommend her to all the future brides. I know I will definitely book her again without any hesitation!

Amazing!! Racquel was the makeup and hair artist for my wedding and reception. I had so much fun working with her then and was lucky enough to have her do my makeup and hair for my maternity shoot 5 years later. Not only did she do my hair and makeup she was also my photographer. My husband and I had such a great time taking pictures with Racquel.
