How do you write a review for a photographer who deserves a 10 star review when your only option is 5 stars? I have an infinite amount of positive things to say about this incredible talented woman, so I will try to limit it here to the things most couple and/or brides might want to know when selecting a photographer.
1. Package selection - we selected a wedding package that included a FREE engagement shoot & the digital copies of the photos to go with it. It included a full day of shooting on the wedding day (she was up early to shoot the getting ready shots, and with us late into the evening for the dancing and late night snack). We had our wedding in Squamish, BC and she travelled there the evening before to scope out the best spots for first looks and we covered her hotel stay for 2 nights as it was a travel wedding. She was so accommodating, and incredibly generous with her time. She went above and beyond what we expected her to do. She put together a beautiful slide show for us as a preview of the wedding photos, and gave us access to the digital copies of the photos on her website until the images were delivered to our door, packaged in the absolute cutest way that really shows off her style and personality.
She offers her package pricing once you contact her as each couple or wedding is unique, and it absolutely worth inquiring about! There were a few different package options, all which were completely reasonable / affordable, and 100% worth it. I highly recommend the full day wedding package, it is so worth it to not have to rush through the photos, and to get the engagement shoot along with so you can get to know each other.
2. Comfortability & Personality - I can’t tell you how important it is to feel comfortable around your photographer when you spend practically the entire wedding day with them. They help you capture some of the happiest and most memorable times of your life, and you need someone like Sharalee who can make you feel like you can be yourselves. She does this by just talking to you, asking about you, telling jokes, and capturing the in between moments as those conversations occur. She guides you seamlessly through the portrait shots, and for the rest of the day, it is as if she is a professional ninja, who captures every perfect moment without even knowing she was there. Sharalee is so easy going and one of the most kind hearted people I know. She made it so easy to be ourselves and laugh together. She is inquisitive and attentive, and you can tell she listens and watches to anticipate how you are feeling, and does everything she can to make you feel at ease. Her witty sense of humor and quirkiness allowed us to have fun and be silly like we always are.
3. Quality - We are all our own worst critics, and I am not the exception. I am hyper critical of how I look in photos especially, but when we received the photos from her, I was in tears. The happiest tears, because I LOVED every single shot she captured. She helped me feel confident and beautiful on the day, and for the rest of my life as I look back through those photos. I cannot thank her enough. And not only did she make Christopher & I feel comfortable, I could see how inclusive she was of my family & friends, and she was able to capture all of them as if it was a story of the entire day. She gifted us the opportunity of experiencing the moments between friends & family that we would have otherwise missed. Which was one of the things we initially talked about in our first Skype call to discuss our vision, and she executed perfectly.
She does so much more than wedding photography as well. It is hard to find someone who excels in as many areas of photography as she does.
She is 11/10 amazing all around. Ya’ll need to hire this gal. Plain and simple. And if you made it through reading this whole review and I have not yet convinced you, then we need to chat, and I will happily gush some more!
Cheers!
