We used Don for our wedding photography. While he is clearly skilled at his craft, he is completely and unabashedly dishonest. Despite it being written in our contract that the original digital digital images would be included, he refused to include them after our wedding. No reason, no explanation. He waited until we had made payment for our purchase and inquired where the digital copy was, then refused to release them and left the studio leaving his assistant speechless in the room with us. Great skill and zero morals. Avoid at all costs.

If you are looking for the best PROFESSIONAL photographer to capture your family portrait, then you go see Don @ MacGregor Studios. My father received some devastating news that he had less than three months to live and so my mother arranged to have a very special family portrait to commemorate our family. Don was incredibly patient,, organized, professional and I still do not know how he was able to manage getting 14 people, including toddlers and a few reluctant teenagers all together into one photograph. The result is the most beautiful family photograph any one of us has ever seen. Don used his decades of expertise to, for ex., add a smile here, coloured white shoes into gray ones to "fit" the rest of the colours in the portrait, he even went "added" a watch and ring on my father's image. If that's not enough, Don even went over to my parents' home and hung the portrait for them! My father then spent an hour sitting quietly, looking at Don's creation. Nothing was more important to anyone of us than to see my father's eyes, shining with pride when he looked at his family portrait. This is all due to Don!! If you are looking for someone who moonlights taking wedding pictures or throws in a digital image or two for your patronage, go somewhere else. These "photographers" are a dime-a-dozen. Don is an exceptional photographer who travels the world teaching other photographers his art. Don's professional fees/services are on the higher-end BECAUSE they are on the higher-end in quality, detail and expertise. It may cost a little more, but that's because you're paying for an experienced and highly-skilled photographer who is one of the best in his field.
