I LOVE the work that Charlie does. She shoots with her heart and has a phenomenal eye. She's a true artist. Her work speaks for itself, but it's very comforting to have such a relaxed photographer. You can be yourself, and you never feel rushed. She'll even feed you if you're losing energy on a long photo shoot. My only critique is that I feel she should be charging more for the type of experience she offers.

If u r looking for ur newborn or above age baby's photoshoot ?! Then this is not right studio. I had my 1 yr old baby's photoshoot & as my baby tired , Charlie become so frastated & blaming us. I would not suggest this place for family or baby's photoshoot.very disappointed .

I have 4 small kids who were not the most cooperative the day of our shoot, but we still got our moneys worth with some really great shots. Her garden studio was a great place to keep the kids contained and not running too wild as they probably would have in an open space.

I’m sick to my stomach how rude and unprofessional Charlie is. It is my right to ask questions about the service she’s providing, to clarify things about the pricing and the number of photos I can obtain from paying such amount for my Graduation Headshots. I can hear from her voice that she’s irritated right away after I asked my second question. ( I can barely hear things she’s saying because of her dog yapping in the background) I’m apologetic and I said “ I’m sorry, I don’t think you’re understanding my question, AND SHE SAID, GO TO Walmart COZ I CANT DEAL WITH THIS! Oh my goodness sake! Such a waste of my time! Make sure to double check what local business you’re supporting folks but definitely not this one.

Although Charlie seemed very nice at first she became incredibly irritated after I had asked her to wear a mask as my wife and I were uncomfortable with her taking photos of our new born while touching him and being in his face. No safety precautions were used whatsoever the whole 15 minutes we were there. We ended up leaving the photo shoot, not because of Charlie's complaints of wearing a mask in her own house and the mask fogging up her camera lens, but because she continued to ask if we even knew how covid worked or rudely stated that she was a professional and not a Walmart Photography Centre. She was extremely unprofessional and very rude to us as paying customers. I have been to 3 other photographers during Covid Restrictions and all of them were able to get amazing photos with masks while being friendly and accommodating. But once again, it was how she reacted to us kindly asking her to wear the mask, and even offering ways where she could have done the session without getting too close to our precious newborn. I would not recommend going here if you are covid conscious. She will take advantage of your boundaries as she tried to with my wife and I through intimidation.

I don't usually feel compelled to write reviews but my wife and I are extremely disappointed with the level of service provided. We approached Charlie and booked a photo session with our 6 month old, excited, we took off to Charlie's studio after work to have some fun and laughs. Upon arrival, there was no introductions, no equipment set up and nothing organized. After waiting about 10-15 minutes for the equipment to be brought outside, the session began. This is where the issues began. It was painfully slow, before every shot the lighting level had to be tested, the portable lights had to be moved and a test picture needed to be taken. When our son was distracted by plants or the props, we asked to move him away from those distractions but met resistance and frustration from Charlie. The excuse was always the same, "The picture will be bad because of the lighting!" When asked if she could move around to get a better picture since our son was looking in a different direction, we were accused of insulting her as a professional. It felt to us that Charlie was was out of her comfort zone having to deal with a baby, we gave her the heads up that he is teething, and a hard guy to make smile. Too much emphases was taken on the lighting and background than the actual subjects of the picture. The poses that we were in caught the less flattering side of us, my wife's bra was showing in most of the pictures, we didn't get clear directions, It just goes on and on. Overall it was a terrible experience and I recommend that all of your options are explored when choosing a photographer. The old addage is true, don't judge a book by its cover. In this case, the cover looked great but the book really sucked.

Charlie is amazing! She has done our photos since I was pregnant 3 years ago. Every time we get so many favorite shots. And she gives you every shot on a USB. Her yard is so beautiful for outside shots and her studio is gorgeous too.

Charlie is so amazing that my husband was bugging me for another photo shoot right away after the first year. My 5 year old son was asking me when our next shoot was all year long. Charlie did such an amazing job. I had bought my kids nurf guns for the first photo shoot and she did manage to catch one of the bullets as it was flying in the air for an amazing shot of my kids playing. This year we had a bit of a family reunion in her garden. My family has been separated for almost 20 years and we have only all been together once since all that time passed. I was worried about tension during the photo shoot. however everyone loved Charlie so much that everything went smoothly. Everyone was amazed with her level of enthusiasm and how professional she was and the work she produced. There was a time when one of my kids was playing with one of her props a little too hard and she was worried it would break and so we had to talk to the kids. I thought she seamed a bit annoyed and was worried she would not have us back. She made me feel as if everything was fine when we left and gave me what I thought was a reduced or pretty cheap rate. I am definitely planning on coming back for the years to come as this is something that my husband and I are planning to do every year for out anniversary.

Rude and unprofessional. Charlie missed key family members and groups that it was in writing she was to take photos of. (She missed my moms side) but we didn’t realize until it was too late. She was argumentative with other venders and guests. We found her to be dishonest and have an accusatory nature. Everything was everyone else’s fault, lighting, space, photo quality... It is still the only regret from an absolutely beautiful day! It is heartbreaking that the memory of our wedding day is somewhat tainted by the connection to her. It’s been a few years now and every time I look at the photos she took I am reminded of her cruel disposition and what she took from us.

We would never use charlie for anything ever again! Her lack of professionalism and poor quality of work have been the only major regret from our wedding. She was rude and very difficult to work with. Her photos were mostly blown out super bright and out of focus. Our entire ceremony was garbage! Out of over 2000 photos that she took there are maybe 100 that are really nice. Even though she was given a detailed list of what was important to us charlie missed key moments that we can never get back. She was argumentitive and complained continuously about how tired she was, and over booked, how bad the lighting was ect, she didnt get to go camping... we found it incredibly unprofessional. We had multiple complaints after our wedding from guests saying that she was rude to them. Numerous people said that she rolled her eyes and huffed at them when they asked her to take a photo. She insulted the owner of the property and acted as if she was better than eveyone else. Her behavior was appalling and the quality of of her photos over all was unacceptable. We had guests take better photos with their phones. We tried to discuss our concerns with charlie but she has been unwilling to even acknowledge her faults within this situation. We were fooled by what looked like a great portfolio and what seemed like a professional and positive person. But in the end we are left with barely a handful of what we expected and a huge heap of unusable garbage. The fact that we had to apologize to our guests and vendors for her bourish behavior is absolutely mortifying. The fact that once in a lifetime moments were lost is devistating. And the fact that charlie is now choosing to be cold and insulting rather than help us in anyway is just beyond words. If I could give her zero stars I would.

I’m compelled to write this review to reflect how awful I feel about this family photography session we just had at Charlie’s studio for my father in laws birthday. I get that Photographers have their own style, preferences and I respect that, but I would not recommend Charlie / lifestyle photography to any family members or friends after this experience due to lack of professionalism, friendliness, tact. It appeared to me that she was irritated, unable to give descriptive directions so that her customers can get into a position she sees fit ( I will describe below). We are a group of 10, with 2 grandparents, 4 adults and 4 toddlers from age 1-6. When it was our turn to take small group family photo with our younger toddlers, we were asked to lay on the ground to be close to them. While not having a clue how to position ourselves , we follow her direction “lay down at an angle”, “ come forward”, we try to interpret what she requested and asked for clarity (eg place our legs to the right? Push our kids together?) but instead of Charlie giving us constructive directions, what we hear is “you need to be at an angle”, “come forward, you need to stop moving because your husband has moved to meet where you’re at”, “your kids are too far apart”, “your legs are fluffing up the pillow props”, well sorry, if you ask me to lay down facing the camera, my legs have to go some where, and if you don’t give me specific directions such as move your legs to the right so that you’re at an angle I don’t have a clue about photography placements. Instead of patience guidance, what we got was her eye rolls, irritated tone of voice and a rude “this is just not working out” and cut our family photoshoot short. Is that what you want from a photographer? When she took photos of the kids, we learned to stay out of it. There appears to be a lack of empathy or care from Charlie during our experience, she cared more about her prop pillows than us customers that was relying on her to capture our precious moments. Unfortunately, after looking at some of the previous lower ranking reviews, I would have to agree as we had similar poor experience and we left with an uneasy feeling. Next time I will take my time to interview our next photographer to make sure we find somebody who can build rapport with us and show us that they care about us and not just simply getting through a photoshoot, as you won’t find it here. Also, no masks were worn by photographer Charlie during the photoshoot if you are wondering about covid protocol. There were hand sanitizer you can use.
