Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I always get good advice on equipment. They do not try to oversell something to me. It is usually I that wants to overbuy for my needs. I have never had a bad experience when visiting this store. Even if I am not shopping for anything, I feel comfortable to shoot the breeze with the employees; often discussing lens recommendations before actually making a future purchase. I have bought used lens, battery grips and all have worked flawlessly (also traded in some lens without any problems). They often hold photo walks; I go when I can and the staff are very helpful with photography tips when I need/ask for them.

Good local camera shop. They offer a variety of camera brands and types, even action cams like GoPros. Serious camera equipment available too, they also do trade ins for store credit, so used stuff is helpful here if you are upgrading. Used cameras, lenses etc can also be bought from them for a bit of a discount. They also offer passport photos for everyone from infants to elderly.

Thought it was about time I gave a written review of Kerrisdale Cameras. Everything positive. I don't make any major camera or lens purchases anywhere else. Prices are excellent. The same price as the major retailers including online, in fact Kerrisdale Langley will usually talk to their distributor and get me a little reduction in the price. This is either just the goodwill of the distributor or a special that they are offering or are about to offer. Price, however is not the best thing about Kerrisdale Cameras. Service is without question one of the most important benefits of shopping with them. I have taken a few items in for warranty service and they take care of everything. You really appreciate this if you ever need to send camera equipment away yourself. Friendly and knowledgable staff. I have visited more than one Kerrisdale Camera location and have always received knowledgable friendly service. Friendly and knowledgable has to be mentioned again. If they don't know the answer to my question and this is usually about product availability or functionality they do the legwork for me and find out. Saves me time effort and frustration. Five out of five stars from this customer.

New $$$ Camera & Lenses I will just not buy on the web. Well stocked on lenses vs LD. No guilt returns: Especially as Kerrisdale made it EASY to return (7 days) and exchange (14 days), which I found more risky and difficult on the web. Plus knowledge on 4/3rds Olympus & Lumix/Leica was very good. Though they are also eager to learn too, no one is clueless as in bogbox stores. Highly recommended as they discounted enough to offset the web price savings with support and peace of mind.

I have never had anything short of superb service from Patrick and Nicole. Just went to pick up my new R5 and Patrick even helped carry it to my car. He and Nicole have been fantastic throughout this and every purchase and visit I have ever made to the store. It is always my first choice for photographic supplies and knowledge. I've shopped at Kerrisdale Cameras in Langley for years. I've dealt with them on everything from new bodies and lenses, trade-ins, used equipment, and ordering items in, as well as printing services. The staff have always been very good to me, very helpful, but not pushy. Sometimes I'm just in to look at something with no intention of buying, and they still take the time to chat. All the staff are photographers, not just retail sales people, so they are knowledgeable not just on the products, but in how they are used. I'd heartily recommend them (and frequently do) for any of your camera needs.

The sensor blew on my old Nikon just as all my spring flowers were blooming in the garden. I needed a replacement fast! I emailed Kerrisdale and Nicole got back to me the same day. She made 2 model suggestions, set me up with a fast SD card and reassured me my 2 existing lenses were compatible. The camera arrived by mail a few days later and Nicole was still there answering questions for me. She even offered to meet me (from a distance) to do some troubleshooting (which we resolved over the phone after all). Terrific, efficient, professional and prompt service. I would recommend the Langley store to anyone. The price was very competitive and you need this level of service on such an important purchase. No online buying could replicate. Thanks Nicole!

PLEASE MAKE THE DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR CANVAS PRINTS MORE CLEAR ON YOUR WEBSITE. Extremely disappointed when I ordered their biggest size canvas print online. It was my first time printing my photo on a large format so I was really excited, but when I came to pick it up, it literally came as a sheet...as opposed to being wrapped around a wooden frame. Who pays that much money to display a canvas print like a flat poster on the wall? The employee that I saw wasn’t much help either, I was trying to figure out a solution but he just kept repeating that they don’t frame their prints past a certain size and showed me their price sheet (which is completely useless to me at this point). Thankfully I made some calls, and Michael’s does custom canvas framing - so now it won’t have to go in the garbage. I should’ve ordered my canvas print at Costco like I originally planned...I was hoping to support a local business instead, but in this case it was a big waste of my money. Cameras & equipment are cheaper elsewhere, so I have no reason to come here. Since the the print itself is great, I’ll give it 2 stars instead of one.

My experience was not the best here. We visited two locations and got different information multiple times. I just wanted a camera to start with and they kept recommending a 3,000$ lens. If your just starting out I would reccomend leos or honestly, London drugs.... We live in Langley and they had a used camera that we were interested in at Kerrisdale. The Langley store called to verify. We put it on hold and loaded up the baby and went to go pick up. However, we then found out they do store to store transfers daily. Their communication is all over the place and I wouldn’t recommend them. We actually got the camera and went to London drugs and got the lens. The guy was so unbelievably helpful. It sucks because the Langley location is right by my house. But the experience was unbelievably stressful.

I called kerrisdale Langley to buy a camera lense. Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock. But they said they could get it to the Coquitlam one the next day. Unfortunately the lense wasn't delivered to the Coquitlam location. No matter what issue came up Anne took care of it making sure I could get my lense in time for my shoot. I felt like I was treated with some of the best customer service. I will return to them for my future camera needs.

I have been doing photography since the dinosaurs (films and chemical darkrooms) were still around, and I own my studio and still I keep it as my side job today. The first time I went into this store, was just to check it out because it was new to the area and I was looking for some accessories. "to put my warm face on a cold butt" would describe my experience more precisely, sorry for lack of better words. That lady was far from being "warm and welcoming", and pretty much treated me as a jack@$$ just window shopping in the fancy cameral store. I once stumbled into a Ferrari store with my sandals and cargo shorts, and that was pretty much the way I felt like when the I was in. So to break the awkward silence I had to say something, also to show I am not a jack@$$ looking to kill time in the store right? So I started asking and commenting on some of the newest Nikon gears and so on. I forgot what comment or which fact I pulled out form my experience and my researches, but "ARE YOU SURE?" was her response. Yap, "are you sure?",,, not in a joking way like between friends or acquaintance, just cold, inquesting, skeptical way of " are you sure?". I felt so guilty of wasting her valuable time dusting and busy attending an empty store so I left like I was never been in there. I didn’t even bother buying anything as “thanks for your time” like I always do. Few months later. I went in for the second time, and for the last time. I have one specific item that I needed for a session overseas which was gonna happen just in a few days. So I went to the camera store I always go in North Delta (a competitor), unfortunately it was out of stock. Because I needed it like right now right now so I decided to go to Kerrisdale Camera Langley to try my luck. Sure enough, the lady from the Ferrari store was there. I gave her a brief background why I needed the item, and to explore my options if I want something similar to be compatible with my old and new camera bodies. Soon I learnt that all my questions and concerns became irrelevant because she didn’t give a dime about my questions and situation. Sure, I can leave all my question and situations to the Sunday morning, and let’s just talk about business. After I found out the same item was $50 more expensive here, and I asked for a price match. “I’ll have to call and see if they [head office] agree to do a price match” she said. I looked at her for a few seconds, wondering why she hasn’t picked up the phone. “I’m not gonna make the call unless you are serous about it” she recognized my confusion. “Could you please call, and find out if they wanna do a price match, please?” I tried to be as polite as possible but deep down in my heart the “F”ilm was going like 10 frames per second. “Yap, I dragged my @$$ all the way here, in the February snow, just to make your day more entertaining.” I said on the back of my head, yet maintaining a polite smile on my face. So she made the call. The conclusion was they couldn’t match the price because that item was out of stock at competitors store. Was that the reason I came to you guys? And instead of wining the business over you pushed my away back to your competitor. Disappointing for sure. At the end, I brought a different item that I believe will be compatible for all my camera bodies, just to fill the urgent needs in a few days. And more importantly, an item to remind me never set my food into this store again. I'm really sorry for the 1 star, because Google doesn't provide the 0 star option.

Absolutely DEVASTATING experience! A very sad story indeed.. and here it goes. I wanted to buy a wide angle Pentax PK mount lens so I called the store. Peter pick up the call and told me that they had Pentax 28mm 2.8 for $29.95. As the price was reasonable and it was exactly what I wanted I jumped to my car and afer 40min and 15km was there. AND.. It appeared that it was a TOKINA lens, not Pentax, and horribly overpriced. Before I came there I asked Peter two times about the lens and two times got the same answer: "yes, it's Pentax 28mm 2.8". So decided to talk to a supervisor, and here the things went horribly wrong. She showed absolutely no understanding of the situation, no concern, no proper judgement. She just said it was a miscommunication and offered me an insulting discount of 10%; $2.95 !! To put the things into the right perspective; during the last half a year I spent at the company almost $1,830 buying: Nikon D300s for $500, Nikon AIS lens - $200, Sony lens - almost $900, Nikon 35mm 1.8G lens - $150, and finally a Minox camera for $80. As all the things were used they made TONS of money! Now, I wasted 90min of my time, 30km, and was insulted by the supervisor (who has absolutely no problem solving skills and demonstrated a paramount amount of misjudgement). What they have lost? Apart from money? REPUTATION! Put yourself in my shoes and ask yourself two questions: 1. Will you ever buy from them again? My answer is: NEVER 2. Will you recommend them? My answer is the same: NEVER PS. I have just checked the on-line reviews; 2.5 stars and Yelp and 3.3 at Google. And this is by far their worst store in the whole chain!

Went to get my Canon DSL t5 looked at for cleaning and assistant. Very helpful staff told and showed me a few things about my camera. Told me it was $50 for them to clean the sensor but also showed me I could do it myself for $40 kit they sell. I told him I wasn't very confident I would do good job and not ruin my sensor he told me another company that could do a big overhaul cleaning. Was nice to just have a staff be real and show you all the various ways without trying to force you to stay in house. I will be back for sure!

Went there for passport photos for my 2 year old daughter. I had called and spoke to Nicole and she gave us some tips what colour to dress my daughter and to bring some small snacks to keep her mouth in a neutral expression. The gentleman that took my daughter’s photo was very very patience. He must of took at least 20 plus photos each time just sitting there holding the camera and waiting for the right moment while mom and dad doing our best to get my daughter to look at the camera. Highly recommend for anyone with a toddler to go there. Thanks again for the great service!!
