After numerous colour disasters at another salon in Chilliwack I even needed a colour correction correcting. The salon didn't have an appointment they could offer me before I was due to go away so I googled other salons and decided to try Illusions, a decision for which I am eternally grateful! Jessica Mitchell offered me an appointment straight away. Not only was my colour totally wrong but it was also very uneven. However without any prompting from me she did an amazing colour correction, blending the highlights perfectly and removing the dark stripes. Over the next couple of appointments she also lightened my hair up to a beautiful white gold blonde with subtle gold and brown tones, and put highlights through the length which made my hair look much longer. She cuts my hair perfectly, taking the smallest amount off so that it grows as long as possible but stays in good condition. Two of my friends have been so impressed by my hair that they are now having their hair coloured and cut by Jessica too. Her partner Grieg who is the owner of the salon also cuts my partner's hair and does an amazing job, keeping it looking longish which is how I like it while making it look short and neat which is how he likes it! In addition the atmosphere in the salon is very relaxed and friendly and we both love going there. Jessica is one of the best hairdressers I have ever had. My hair has never looked better and I can't recommend this salon highly enough.

I had an appt with Grieg the owner & was extremely happy with what he had to say he could do for my overgrown hair. He decided to cut first & then I wanted foils. I showed him pics of a previous cuts & specifically said I didn't want the back cut really short (which he did). Once cut/blow dried he said he wanted to take a 5 min break which was fine. When he came back he asked what we would do; highlights or none & how did I like my hair. I said I did like it, but the back was too short, but it was ok it would grow. He then proceeded to tell me that he didn't want me as a client & that I was a complainer & would be a difficult client to deal with. At that point he asked me to leave & enjoy my free haircut!! Seriously!!! I have never experienced this in my life all b/c I said the back was too short. End of day for him & I guess he was done. Yes, he has 30 years experience but my goodness all b/c I said the back was too short & I get kicked out. Wow; get a handle on yourself buddy, I know you own the salon, but you are very unprofessional and really mean to do this to a customer! Yes, I will certainly be talking a lot of people about this experience! Update on this ..... my hair is uneven & one side is longer than the other, also I'm so upset how SHORT he cut my hair!!!!! The one thing I asked him NOT to do!!! Others have come forward now to say they have had a bad experience with him to & his rudeness!!! CAUTION

Truly the best salon I have been to and am staying. Jessica is absolutely incredible. There is nothing she cannot do. Her extensions too .. they are the best in the lower mainland .. and she is fast. Her prices are the only thing that match her talent. I seriously recommend this salon and I never do this! She is my Canadian Hair Goddess!!!!!!!

Just had my hair cut by Mickeya and WOW!!! Absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my haircut!!! Mickeya instilled so much confidence and was so great to chat with that I didn’t worry one bit about how it would turn out. I knew I wanted a BIG change! A total makeover of my hair. He listened to my lifestyle and made sure my cut suited it. He’s a fantastic artist and an amazing, down to earth human. I sincerely wanted to stay all afternoon to continue our great conversation. I haven't had a hair cut since the pandemic began. I went from a pixie cut to a very long curly frizzy hair which I called Medusa. Griegr 's (sp?) calmly (better than Bob-Ross-radio voice) took me through what he was doing and showed me how to manage my curls. It seemed effortless but that only comes with professional dedication and years of skill and knowledge. Fantastic cut and style!
