As a woman who has an eating disorder, I haven't always had a positive relationship with my body. Following a few years of recovery and lots of released weight, I had been thinking of gifting myself a boudoir photoshoot as an acknowledgement for my hard work and also as an exercise in body acceptance and self-love. I Googled for studios in Vancouver and found Gloss. The women at Gloss (Lead photographer Marcee and Hair/Makeup Artist Kelsey) welcomed me warmly and kept the mood light and fun. I went in feeling a bit nervous and came out of the experience feeling incredibly sexy, confident, and joyful. (and I hadn't even seen the photos yet!) I was blown away by every aspect of the experience. I can see why they have repeat clientelle, and I can certainly see myself becoming one of them! I am currently waiting my chosen set of 35 beautiful digital prints to land in my inbox with plans to produce larger prints to hang as art on my walls. These ladies do phenomenal work. Google asked if visited your website for the review initially. I now due to your comment I have edited rating and would give you no stars if could since you haven't yet reached out to my email or enquired about my comment why but indicated will report for what you call a false review how ludicrous. Not really sure why someone would recommend such an establishment whom don't care about potential clients. Personally I think it is unprofessional of you to worry about other reviews I posted if you have time check those out you at least could have replied to my original enquiry by email In response to your comment about other studios there was one whom cannot get a proper estimate with special request that I had and the other they no appointment until end of October, but at least they replied. I need to start off by saying how incredible the Gloss team is! As someone who works behind the camera for a living, standing in front of the camera was something I wasn't confident with. As soon as I sat in Tara's chair, the nerves that kept me up the night before just washed away. Tara is an incredible makeup artist, and a true professional at her craft. She listened to what I had envisioned for my hair and makeup and produced something that was even better. Once I was done in the chair, I was introduced to Marcee. Right away I felt as though I had met her before from her welcoming and warm energy. Marcee has such an incredible eye and a beautiful sense of detail when it comes to photography. We had a wonderful conversation before I changed so that she could get a better idea of what sort of poses I was interested in, areas I really wanted to focus on, and if this was a gift for someone. Right away that conversation totally set the tone for the whole shoot as we were on the same page. You are in such good hands with Marcee during the shoot. She kept the energy so warm during the whole process, that I would almost forget what I was doing and felt as though I was hanging out with a girlfriend. She made me feel so incredibly sexy and comfortable during the whole process. I would highly recommend Gloss to anyone who is thinking of doing a boudoir shoot. I know it is only human to have the nerves take over, but remember how beautiful you are! The Gloss girls will make your experience something you will remember for the rest of your life. I cannot wait to book in for my next session!

My entire experience with Gloss was amazing from beginning to end! I was definitely nervous before the shoot but the wonderful ladies there made me feel completely at ease and comfortable the whole way through. They did a fabulous job with my hair and makeup and the shoot itself was really fun. When I went back to the studio a few days later for my image preview, I could not believe how amazing the photos turned out! I was completely shocked and so happy! Once I had selected all of my favourite shots, I ordered an album to give to my husband as a gift for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was a total surprise for him and he absolutely loved it! My feelings going into my photoshoot were fear and worry. Fear of not knowing if I could pull it off. Worry that I would hate what was on the other side of the camera. I am glad that other ladies enjoyed the photo shoots. It was surely an interesting experience for me. I got the Mini package because I was curious, but I ended up not getting the photos. The photo shoot went really fast, and the photos were taking while we were talking, my facial expressions on the photos were a bit off. I had a grin on my face or I looked like I was about to say something. I am not a fan of my flat chest, I was hoping it would not be too visible, but the half of photos were me with no chest, which is not something I enjoy looking at. Also, I do not wear make-up usually, so the make-up was a bit too much. I pointed that I felt like my eyebrows were too dark. I was told that it will be washed off with lights, so it will not be as visible. but, my eyebrows were pretty thick and really dark on the photos. To me, It was a bit painful to go through pictures. I had a hard time picking 5 pictures because there was probably one or two that I thought was ok. I did not want to see the photos and kept missing deadlines to order the photos. In the end, I didn't order photos. If you know how you want to look like, you might enjoy this. I did not know what to expect and was hoping that they could come up with something amazing. I feel like I expected too much from them.

I’ve been to Gloss 5 times (yes 5 times) that’s how amazing it is. The makeup artists (Kelsey, Maureen, Tarah) all do exceptional work. Marcee is by far the best Photographer, she is the best hype woman and support system and just overall understands how to create beautiful and artistic photos. The whole staff is amazing and the studio is top notch! The pricing is transparent too which most Vancouver studios don’t offer.

I originally went to Gloss from a referral of a friend and so glad I did. I had been wanting to do a boudoir shoot for about 2 years before I finally booked my first shoot, I only thing I wish I did it sooner!
