I bought a Surface Slim Pen 2 which Best buy canada does not sell a charger for, and none of the staff knew about it. You would have to buy a keyboard or a specific device to charge it. Went in to Best Buy to look at the printers and noticed that me and my 2 friends weren't just being watched but stared at very uncomfortably by all of the employees. We weren’t sure what we did wrong so we asked why they were following us and the manager said it was for if we needed any help. We felt uncomfortable so we left. We came back to complain and the manager told us the real reason to why she had her employees surround us. She said that since we are teenagers she thinks that we could stuff a tv up our shirts and leave with it.. didn’t even apologize. They lost my business.

All while the alarm was going off because a sales rep triggered and alarm while all the other reps just stood and looked at it. The only customer support I received was from an in training staff.
I had a good experience with them and when I went to use the device it was all messed up. (Sim). It took fido days and reloaded my account because it was there mistake. Don't let retailers sell your short stand up for your right most times you can say a lot more than they can so use your opinion

Just what you expect... Relatively low end computers, laptop's, etc (older cpus, drives, and lowest cost/value) and all the same phones, plans as anywhere else. And 75 tweens that know fairly little offering to help if you read packaging. Sadly, they carry less-and-less of the things that used to make it an interesting place to shop.

I have a Geek Squad membership. The membership covers service to your home to do installations. My call went to Columbia. The guy could barely speak English. He could not fulfill his job. I have no appointment. I call the number to the Courtaney store from the number showing here and all I get is a extremely long winded message with a 1-888 number for me to call. I call this number and have to listen to another extremely long winded message. Now I sit on hold. All I want to do is make an appointment. I dont think they want my business.

Bought 2 watches through Best Buy vendor using a gift card. 3 weeks later, only one watch shows up. I contacted Best Buy and they said I was on my own dealing with the vendor. So I contacted the vendor through email, which took a days to get a response. I was told I was going to get a full refund on the watch. It has been a week now and have not received any refund. And to boot, they took the remaining $25 that was left on my gift card. I am out $160 and Best Buy could care less. Will never purchase anything from them again. Horrible Customer experience.

Went there to buy my daughter's Christmas gift, I myself had no clue about everything the smart watch was capable of doing. The first person who was helping me honestly told me that he was not knowledgable about the product but he would get me a staff member that could. The next staff member, and I wish I could remember his name, was absolutely wonderful!!! He himself had an apple watch (we were looking at a Samsung) and was demonstrating what it could do. I went to Best Buy at the beginning of November and I didn’t get any help. I was looking for a soundbar for my TV and don’t know enough to know what to look for. I found the soundbars and ended up googling the different ones there as nobody was available or around to help. I also had two kids under 3 with me and they don’t have shopping carts so my shop was very brief as I didn’t have time to watch my one child run all over the store. I’ll buy online next time as I can do the research online and better help myself from home then going in and getting no help.

They spent approximately 45 minutes on it after one gentleman had some questions he asked another gentleman and then he asked the management. All said and done all three of them spend a good deal of time on my phone and did get it fixed to my satisfaction. My issue is more with Best Buy than it is with this particular store. Best Buy's policies drag this place down. You pretty much never get a good deal here and the staff are trained to encourage you to buy things you don't need. Sucks. I came in to buy a laptop this past weekend - but had noticed online stock was hit or miss so was planning on at least placing an order on confirming with an associate that my laptop choice would be a good fit for my work. I talked with Mikhail about the laptop - they were able to set me up with an order for one that was able to arrive in a few days which was awesome. Then they took me to customer service to set up the Fairstone financing plan - here Mikhail worked with I believe their name was Rox? (Sorry if I got it wrong!) who was super patient and kind - I had to run back home to get some other form of ID to confirm but came back to complete the order. Both of the associates were easy to talk to, knowledgeable and overall had a great demeanor. Thank you to these two for helping me get my laptop!
I had to take the time to write this review about this store and it's customer service. We recently bought a old homestead property in Princeton BC, we currently live in Chilliwack. Once we were ready for appliances I went into Best Buy in Chilliwack as I heard they had a good sale on. The sales person was very helpful and within 3o min I had picked out all of my appliances for the house in Princeton. The Manager Ondrej was amazing he helped figure out the shipping to our home and made it effortless. Now once they arrived, on time and without incident, i realized I had made a huge error and the refrigerator was way too big. If I hadn't been dealing with this store the end to my story may be quite different! I went back to Chilliwack, spoke to Ondrej, not only did he help me find the perfect fridge, he also called another store manager directly and figured out how to pick up the other fridge and deliver the new one. The stress was lifted and 2 weeks later it was all done! I can't thank Best Buy enough, both managers at Chilliwack and Kelowna stores were the best and went out of their way to not only help us, but to make it a very painless experience. I would highly recommend any large purchases at this store. Thank you Ondrej and Merry Christmas!

Our company bought 2 new iphones in May 2016. 2 months later one of them had a hardware malfunction and all data was lost. Upsetting enough but luckily (so we thought...) we had purchased the Geek Squad extra insurance. Well, the store couldn't replace the phone, it had to be sent back to the Geek Squad. We waited 3 business days to receive the new promised phone from them but all we got was an email saying they had none in stock and we could just pick on up at any Best Buy ONCE we received the e-card which should take 2 to 3 business days to arrive by email. Now into the 6th day without our business phone we receive the email. Of course the Chatham store has none of these phones in stock so after a slightly heated phone call they agreed to look into other stores and actually found one in Windsor. A day later we are told to come pick up the phone anytime after 6pm that day. We arrive at 7:30pm and there is no phone. The fact that we had now been without our phone for a full week was bad enough, the fact that it takes 30min for us to get to the store and had done the trip twice now for nothing is another. To add insult to injury the manager tells us the phone isn't there yet because the driver stopped somewhere to play Pokemon Go!!! The conclusion of this ridiculous tale goes something like this. A friend who does large quantity business with the store when in to straighten the situation out and the phone was found, and we received it that night. The district manager called to apologize which was nice but quite frankly we will never shop there again!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER TO THIS STORE FOR SERVICE. My computer was hacked & my bank required/recommended that my computer be evaluated. They recommended either Best Buy or Staples, I chose Best Buy. My computer is only one months old & it worked fine when I took it in. They did a wipe & created a folder with my info, however, none of my word documents can be read because they deleted my Word program. When I returned to the store because it has crashed twice since the service & to also have them re-install my Word program, they now tell me that my hard drive is no good & offered to sell me a new computer! Luckily I bought it at Costco & they have a 90 days return policy, but it's an inconvenience. The technician was very pleasant, but something has gone seriously wrong. As I live 30 minutes from the store I called & spoke to the store manager, requesting a refund of the $262.19 that I paid for the service I didn't receive be refunded, however, received little satisfaction. I couldn't post without choosing at least one star, but that is not deserved.

Nice store but some mixed messages. In trying to find an instant pot, I was given a rain check as they were out of stock. When checking in again the next day, I was advised they should not have given me a rain check. Groan. Easy to order online, but tough to navigate in stores us there's customer service policy to navigate.

Consistently given great service at this location. Friendly staff that are very knowledgeable. They also take the proper precautions here to combat covid, everytime I've gone in I noted that all the visible staff worr their masks correctly.

Was recently in to purchase a desktop computer. While the staff was incredibly eager, it was slightly irritating to be approached four times in roughly 5 minutes asking if I needed help. When I finally did speak with two separate employees, I did not have the greatest confidence that they actually knew what they were talking about. Eventually I just googled my questions and made my own informed purchase.

I went there yesterday and wanted to see if they have the chair I saw on their website. I didn't find it and was leaving when one of the guys working there approached me. I asked him about the chair and I can tell he doesn't have a clue about what I'm talking about. He said they don't have this chair in store because it is easy for people to steal it! I DID NOT KNOW THAT MANY PEOPLE GO TO SYDNEY BEST BUY TO STEAL CHAIRS!

was getting warranty work done to my computer, it had to be sent off, not a problem, but I asked them not to wipe clean my original setup when I bought the laptop, but sure enough they did,they apologized, I used to have no ads or pop ups, now its constant, and slowing it down drastically. I returned back to get my set up re installed, but still getting every add and pop up there is, they said there's no way of knowing what the original set up was... my $1500 laptop is now no better then my $300 laptop, thanks Geek Squad Sydney,

My wife brought my laptop computer to have the keyboard cleaned by the Geek Squad. She was about an hour early (10 a.m.) before they opened (11 am.). The manager was there, and he refused to take it nor leave it with the Geek Squad. We live an hour away, so she thought he could cut her some slack. But no, he couldn't make that concession. She told me he was arrogant, rude, and told her that if she didn't like it, she could take her business elsewhere. Of course, we will. All our business! Over the past 3 to 4 years, we've bought 2 laptops from them, a TV, a TV stand, and mobile phone. When we're spending our money at Best Buy, everyone is nice and accommodating. You'd think the SOB manager could be more customer considerate. That's the last Best Buy shopping we'll do.

If you need it, chances are this place has it. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The variety of tech and products here are very wide. I catch myself going in looking for a specific item and end up looking at smart fridges and leaving with a remote controlled robot. This is a good place to pre-order games. All and all, great place to do shopping for tech, movies and games.

Best buy (formally future shop) is a big typical tech house full of great goodies. Not any less than retail prices but hey...here thats to be expected.
It's a Best Buy, not a whole lot more to add. Somewhat on the smaller side for Best Buy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since you don't have to walk super far. Wish these folks would sell cheaper cables. Got a TV for $180 and the cable was $60!
This location is infamous for calls not being answered; being put on hold for incredibly long periods of time and then being disconnected; today calling 45 min before closing then getting the recording saying that this location is closed please shop online. The worst part is that almost every-time i give up trying to call in and drop everything to go to the store; the staff are walking around and chatting with each-other. Not looking to help people; just hanging out. I don't like to complain; it goes against my nature but honestly this location does not seem to care about its customers. Very disappointed.

Worst customer service of any store I've ever been in. Shelves are empty and what few things are on the shelves you can be sure it's on the wrong price tag. Employees have no interest in helping customers and usually just hang out with each other on their phones. Never purchase a warrantee from here so much fine print they'll never pay up, then you're still left paying the monthly warrantee fee for a product you no longer even have. This is the last store I'd willingly choose to purchase my product in.

i went into best buy to purchase a gaming headset for a computer. i had the brand turtle beach in mind cause they are fair priced for quality, an have had good history with them. i asked an employee there a older man late 50's grey hair 6'2 average build, if they carried them an what i needed them for. he brought me to ones that were labeled ps4 i asked him you sure they work on computer, he replied yes, i said guaranteed no problems or glitches, he said no worries and as i walked back to the till with him i turned back and said you 100% on that cause it will be a pain for me to have to come back, and he gave me the thumbs up. now here i am sitting with a gaming headset that does not work for computer unless you buy some special adapter for it. i work in a sales position and the worst thing you could do for your store is misdirect customers on products they need just to push a sale. you may think its good for the store but it builds a really bad reputation and over time if enough word spreads that employee's are like that and have put off enough customers from doing it to them can kill your business. never have i ever pushed a sale onto someone, an i have stopped people from buying something cause it doesn't actually serve their purpose even thou they thought it would. since we do that where i work gets great business since people know that we will do everything in our power to make sure they are getting what they need.
Fairly typical big box electronics store. Found that some stuff is displayed in seperate sections of the store. For instance, the gaming gear is spread out over a couple aisles separated by the laptop section and some other non-gaming related products. A bit confusing.

Staff is exceptionally helpful, and the store is usually pretty clean. The only drawback is the pricing. While it's not as bad as the Source, I often find things cheaper online.
We have dealt with Best Buy over the years, and have reasonably gotten good service at the store. However, we will no longer buy from them due to their Geek Squad service they sell. We bought it for help in setting up our tv mount. It was never straight and it totally bother me so I called the geek squad again to see if it could be straightened. So, we paid another $75 for a home visit. He walked in and said there was nothing he could do. So our tv eventually died and we went shopping. BestBuy had a lovely tv we were interested in, but we also checked Teppermans. While talking to the sales representative, I told them how unhappy we were with the placement of the mount. He said we might have tp replace it with a better mount. We had bought the best mount that Best Buy had. Without seeing it, he told us to check our mount out and that it should be moveable. We did what he said, and it actually worked. I have tried to cancel geek squad, but it is almost as though they are doing everything to prevent a customer doing this. As we purchased this at Best Buy, it should be available for them to contact theto cancel, but apparently they get the same run around.Do not sign up to the Geek Squad. We have spent over $500.00 with no end in sight. We have even asked our bank to stop payment on them, but they will not do this. Please help us to cancel this useless service!

Everything was sprinkles and rainbows regarding how the store would take care of my new appliance if anything happened and an appliance tech would be sent to my house. Out of the box it didn't work. Refused to honor warranty. Refused to send the tech they promised. Refused to replace item unless I paid extra for delivery. Manager told me it was all fixed up. IT WASN'T. NEVER SETTING FOOT IN HERE AGAIN. Feel dirty giving 1 star. Negative rating would be more accurate as this entire fiasco cost me a lot of money.

The worst customer service. The one person who did help us was moderately helpful bit had nothing that was advertised online or in store. I was looking for a Samsung tablet and they only had one type available out of the handful they show on display. Then we wanted to check out the smart tvs and not one person in the department helped us. Will not be shopping there again.

How hard is it to pick up a phone?
I purchased a Maytag washer there just over a month ago and picked it up at the warehouse in Langley but sadly the washer was not what I expected. To no fault of Best Buy the wash did not get my cloths clean and during the spin cycle it smelt like burning rubber. So I went back to the store to see about exchanging it. To my surprise I was able to bring it back to the store. I ordered an new washer which I had to wait for which I new as everywhere is back ordered at this time (but came in a week earlier than expected). This washer seems to be doing the job. I have to say the staff members that I dealt with were amazing! They made the whole process super easy from start to finish. Helped load and unload the washers, Koodos to the staff for doing such a great job! YOU GUYS ROCKED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!

My brother bought a computer there and the staff gave us a discount with a purchase of their geek membership which they said we only have to pay 6 month. They told us we cab cancel the membership 6 month later and wrote how much money we have to pay in total on the work sheet. But 6 month later when we tried to cancel the membership, the staff on the phone said we have to pay the 7th month in order to cancel the membership. So we went into the store and spoke to the manager. Manager was very rude and said we should have read the agreement (which we had to creat a Best buy account in order to read it online). He basically means his staff can say anything that is wrong in order to trick you into buying their product as long as they have an agreement some where online that tells a different story. The agreement was not emailed to us or given to us when we bought the computer. Manager was very very rude.
Electronics "candy store"
I'll start by saying the staff here is generally very good, if not excellent, and are willing to help while being fairly knowledgeable. The only real issue I've had at my local Best Buy is that the stock can run short/low somewhat regularly and the prices are a little higher than available elsewhere; but Price Matching is always an option and one I use most of the time when shopping here. I say shop comparatively online and get that price match to support the high quality employees that work at this local store.

Bought a tv and when I ordered it to be installed it was 10day wait that was fine they were busy.then hey finally make it down to install and they bring wrong mount. He admitted fault that’s cool tells me next available install was 10 days! Lol then apparently they left a message at my business with a worker saying he had to reschedule to the 30th making it another 4 days on top of the original 10 day wait. Yea sht happens .... In the end they are working on some compensation for me and my troubles which in he end of the day is the right thing to do and I give bonus points for that. People are pretty easy to work with.although here in pei the only one store I try calling and the phone line is busy for hours lol how can you be a technology store and have one phone line ?

The worst experience I ever had was at Best Buy Charlottetown. Save yourself the stress and don’t go there most especially if your a minority. The manager would not even give me an opportunity to express myself. I purchased a display fridge that was for sale, it had some stickers for signage on it, my wife signed the paperwork saying it has only one scratch on it and when she went there after 3 hours to pick it up they there was more scratches from the stickers that are permanent. I went to meet her at the store but she was gone before I got there so I was told by the sales person, he called me over to show me a picture on his Iphone of the new scratches. I asked if they can do anything in price for that because it’s a new fridge. He said maybe but have to call the manager and see. When the manager Mike came out, he did not even greet me he asked if i’m looking for another discount, because he will not give me one. I tried to explain to him what happened and he just start calling me names and said that I should just return the fridge and get a refund. When I stepped out to call my wife she said that the paperwork was signed when she payed and the marks were not there when she payed but after the fridge was all wrapped up for delivery is when the sales person showed her with a picture on his iPhone. When I got home to see the fridge the scratches are very noticeable, and I would like to return the fridge for a refund as it is not worth the money with all the issue it has now, but I don’t feel comfortable going back to that store to get the refund, i would just like to be treated with respect, just like i was treating them. Sad to say but this will be my last time dealing with this store, God help that business.

Exceptional service here - at least whenever I've visited. They usually have someone waiting inside the door to take you through the store, find product and complete the sale! How often do you see that?! Occasionally they pass you off to other staff in a specific department - like mobile phones - but they will do their best to help as best as they can - and it shows!! Update: I had to call Customer Service as the store does not answer their phone anymore. That took 30 minutes talking to them. I can't use my Best Buy account online as I have to go into the store to use it. However, the store is closed to all in store customers. You have to get curbside only. A catch 22. Best Buy is on their way out!!!
All the other reviews are about their phone service, which if you'd sit and go through the automations you'd be done in 15 minutes. There are other people ahead of you, get over it. Their in store service is absolutely delightful. I've been in multiple times for speakers, computers, games, whatever, you name it, and though they aren't on you the second they come in, the service they give after a short wait is pretty good.
Sales reps outright lie in order to push protection plans. Do yourself a favour and skip the plans. Better yet, shop somewhere else entirely.
It's a best buy, expensive but okay I guess
Some of the least helpful customer services experiences I have ever had. I recently stood in the camera department looking bewildered for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to show up and was only asked if I needed help by an employee who first walked past me and then turned around. This, despite the fact that there were numerous employees milling about different parts of the store. The camera display was a disaster and only about half of the camera racks had display cameras on them (and not the one I wanted). My questions could not be answered and no solution to what I came for was offered. On two other occasions recently I tried calling to ask a question. Both times I tried about 10+ times and have *never* been able to talk to a person. Customer service is obviously not a priority of Best Buy Charlottetown.

Staff was friendly but stock was at a minimum. I went in looking for an SLR camera kit, preferably Nikon since I already had some Nikon lenses but there were only a few of the low end bodies available. The spaces/security devices were there for the other models but no stock. This was the same for the other brands as well. Ended up picking up some GoPro lenses but the section looked picked over too.

Went here to get a new cell phone the other day and dealt with a young lady who looked like she fell into a box of makeup and then went to work. Very rude off the start and not very helpful. The employees usually have no idea about the products they sell. They just want you to buy something so the can make a commisson off you. Don't ever buy a computer from there.
The assistant manager was rude and not very experienced or knowledgeable about the steam dryer. The steam dryer doesn't come with the Y connector and extra hose kit for steam function, but she claimed it does. Then they delivered the dryer today and we can't finish the installation due to missing the parts. And I called to the store, she just said I should go back to the store to buy the parts. Have a very bad shopping experience with Best buy this time.

Future Shop to me is so much akin to my experience at Target Stores. It is the blah of electronics. It is expensive! You will not get a deal ever. I wish I could say something more positive but is is a lame electronics store. I have made maybe five purchases since it opened. All items went back due to defects with the exception of one desktop. After one month it had issues. I had to pay $40.00 to have it shipped to Acer to replace the drive and it still has a problem. Reminded me of service in the 60's! So unless Future Shop makes some effort to to increase the quality of its products and prices I would give you a year in Sydney to lose more money and finally close. You really need to make some BIG changes to succeed. Hope you do of course and remain in our market. Meeting the competition's lowest prices does not cut it. A lineup at the returns desk does not cut it.

I was in the market to buy new headphones tonight and wasn't to sure about what I was purchasing. It was definitely not hard making my decisions with the thanks of Willem and Sebastean! Most friendly staff of the Best Buys I have been to. There is always someone available for questions. We've made a number of large purchases from this location and could not have been happier I also purchased the Geek Squad monthly service for the previous 12 months but as an IT person, it didnt add much value for me. This is something the older generations could utilize. I did have a free installation for the TV I had purchased and the guys that did this were excellent. Mounting above the fireplace in older brick can be tricky but these guys were awesome.

I have bought over 30 lap tops and desk tops from Future Shop/Best Buy over the years. They had no iMacs in stock other than an "open box" one. Because I was under the gun I picked it up. I had nothing but problems with it, had it "repaired" twice by the Geek Squad and it was still crashing everyday. When I went in to speak to them about it the last time I was extremely disappointed with their response which was just to bring it in again and they would see what they could do. I walked next door to Staples and bought a new iMac there, because they actually had some new ones in stock. I will not be going back after my last experience, surely they could of looked up my history and could have seen that I was a great customer and that they could of bumped up the service level a bit. Not impressed at all, oh well their loss, I'm sure I will be buying another 30+ computers in the upcoming years, just won't be from them anymore.

Y'know Best Buy Future Shop is good because they don't answer their phones due to Covid (Yeah try calling any Best Buy, you get told to go to their website) and have reduced hours in Nova Scotia even though we've only had max 6 cases in the last 6 months. Apparently Covid morphed so horribly that you can catch it through phones. Nothing available instore, ALL has to be ordered online. Terrible company. one star. Maybe Futureshop shouldn't of merged with Best Buy and fired 700+ employees in 2015. Best Buy itself is horrid. Before this 2015 merge I bought a overpriced Pc at Staples in 2013 because I thought it would be cheaper then Futureshop, turns out the Pc I bought didn't even have a Motherboard that could have video cards put in it and I paid over $800 for that pc in 2013 which is ALOT today let alone back in 2013. Oh but it gets better! In around 2015/2016 after having to buy another motherboard at Futureshop (SURPRISE that also had to be ordered online and took over a week to get!) which was $150 just so I could get video cards placed into my Pc I got a 750ti for around $150 at Staples then got the guy at Staples to put it in my Pc, (which I paid around $40 for him to do so), didn't place the card in correctly and a few months later my Pc wouldn't turn on, I took it to a Pc shop we used to have here in Reserve Mines called the Web Beach (Also a terrible store and no longer exists), they told me that the 750ti fell out of the slot it was placed in, which meant that the serviceguy at Staples half arsed it in and did a half job. So the guy at Webbeach placed the card back in and charged me nothing for it. (one of the only good things I could say about Web Beach). I wish there was a negative rating because aside from a few good guys at Geeksquad I couldn't rate this low enough!!!!!

I was so impressed with the Best Buy Chatham team and their comprehensive COVID-19 protocols. Everything is clearly explained at the door, and there are team members throughout the store to assist you with purchases. In particular, Dakota helped me purchase an iPad for my mom. He checked in the back, determined that the truck was currently unloading the iPad I needed, and promptly took my information so that I could come pick it up later. When I came, he remembered my order and helped get the appropriate case, as well as my other assorted purchases throughout the store. He, along with the rest of his coworkers, were all extremely kind and in good spirits.

I find it hilarious they're not taking calls atm due to Covid because long before Covid they never ever seem to man the phones. All in all this is a garbage store if you don't know what you're there to get. So do your research at home and don't listen to the people there because they really don't know what they're doing. Went for buying a screen protector for my iphone 12 ,they charged me ₹57 plus ₹10 for installation of screen protector. Even then the proctector was placed in a ugly manner ,they tried twice to fix it but still was with air bubbles .
Placed an order for online pickup (prepaid) expecting that my husband could stop in and get it after work. Tried to call and leave his name so that they would release the product to him but couldn't even call through to the store. I had to call a 1-800 number to then be told that it was impossible and there is nothing they can do. Which is both hilarious and absurd. The fact that I cannot even get in touch with anyone at the store is BEYOND infuriating. Who's crazy idea was that?

Best place to get your electronics. I have bought a couple of computers, monitors, accessories, electronics, cell cases, camera lenses, hard drives and other things over the last couple years. They have the best prices in town. If they don't have what I need in store, orders placed online arrive in a few days. Best part is they now accept PayPal. The only problem is that when you go in the store, you are bombarded with staff overly eager to help you. Some people may like this, but I don't. I find it quite irritating.

I would put no stars, if I could. I purchased a washing machine LG Direct Drive and LG Sensor Dry dryer in December 2020. The washing machine dosen't get the clothes clean, it has no agitator (I was told that's the best)and no matter what settings I put it on the water will not cover the cloths. IT WILL NOT GET THE CLOTHES CLEAN.

I purchased a microsoft surface pro earlier this year. The sales people really insisted to buy a Geek Squad plan even i said NO many times, i had no choice but to buy it with the plan as i was told i can cancell anytime. When i cancelled the plan i had to pay $68 cancellation fee which they never disclosed to me before purchasing the plan. I think this is how Best Buy makes a lot of money. Also, no pressure sales people in Best Buy is not True Beware with this place.
Cashier went above and beyond to find the bonus item I was supposed to get with my purchase when he could of said it was out of stock.
When you need something specific they usually have stock on hand. The mobile phone department is overworked, undertrained, and understaffed. If you can find someone who can actually help sell you something you're luckier than I am. They were much more attentive when on commission. Missed a big sale.

I took a BOSE speaker in for repair. I had to call numerous times to find out its location. Every time I called I either got an employee that had no idea how to look up where it was, or an employee that said they would follow through on it and never got back to me. The answer is always the same. We are sorry but it's out of our hands. How can you sell a product and push the warranty , which I bought, than not know where it is or when it will be returned? I still have not received my product back, nor do they know when it will be back. I will never buy from this store again! I had to push one start in order to post this..... Two separate visits. One very frustrating and one excellent. It all came down to great service on the one and complete lack of service on the other. I have had several negative shopping experiences here in the past so I usually try to avoid it. When it comes to tv's and related items however it is hard not to at least look at what is available here and watch flyers for deals. I truly wish the level of service was consistent and feel it was the representative that I dealt with on my reluctant 2nd visit that made the difference.

I got a Samsung phone e contract at Chatham location. Went back 2 days later to let them know it keeps dropping network so I miss calls and texts. Once I realize it, resetting phone fixes it but I'd miss things and have to do it daily. They tried to fix it and said try that for a week or so. I wanted an exchange for same phone but wasn't accomodated. I went back a week later to let them know it wasn't fixed. They tried again and said try that for a while. Didn't fix the problem, so I went back for 3rd time and now its passed their 14 day exchange policy so now I have to ship my phone and deal with Samsung. Even manager said 14 day policy after hearing the story. I need my phone for work...crazy!

No more car audio, home audio selection was really small compared to a few years ago. And was there to buy, no help was offered, so I bought elsewhere
I purchased a Macbook Air (2017) from Best Buy's website expecting a "certified refurbished" item that was in "9/10" condition. I thought purchasing this from an established retailer such as BestBuy would be a reasonable option, unlike picking up a used item from Craigslist or Kijiji. I was wrong. This item came Sept 19, 2021 and I kept it as a Christmas gift for my son. We opened it Dec 25 to discover the battery does not hold a charge. I contacted BestBuy, who explained this product was sold by a "marketplace" seller (i.e. not directly through BestBuy). So I contacted the seller "BuySpry". They have explained that they only have a 90 day warranty, so I have missed the warranty period by 6 days. To repair this on my own is $400 (shocking, given the computer cost $700). So, my son is left with a laptop that only works if plugged in - not going to work for school. I contacted Bestbuy again, and the service agent said she couldn't help me but will put in a "formal complaint" to the head office of BestBuy. I asked to be copied on this to see if it actually was done - as far as I can tell nothing has been done. Asked how they can allow such a seller to work through their website and got no real answer. I've also contacted this company BuySpry again, which is based in USA (not some far flung location with no standards). Waiting to hear if they can explain what "certified refurbished" means to them, and how this product can be rated 9/10 - obviously no response yet and not expecting a response. Overall, disappointed in the product, and that BestBuy can support such a seller on their Marketplace.

Well, first off three staff were talking to one man (it was a social conversation), that was fine with me but the staff did see me there, they looked directly at me, and so I milled around for a bit before I approached the counter again. At this time I said "Excuse me" to the staff to get their attention and one of the staff approached me and said "whats up". Ok, not really a professional greeting but whatever keep in mind I am 40ish not 20. I carry on. As I am asking her about cell phone plans, she gives me an outdated rate plan sheet and as I am asking some questions that she has no answers to, she literally picks a pimple right off of her face in front of me and it starts to bleed. I think at this point that she will excuse herself to have someone else take over after all we are all human and weird things happen sometimes, but then She is checking her face in the reflection of her cell phone that she has in her hand and continues to touch her bleedy pimple and touch the paper that is in front of me leaving little marks. I leave at this point never to return. Zero stars for service.

There is never anyone to help. I went there three days in a row, and not once did I walk away with what I needed, or get help. The last time I stood in the cell phone section making eye contact with staff as they stood their talking only an aisle away. No one bothered to take initiative. Never any good prices, usually don't have what I want, but the poor rating is because usually there is only one staff member on the floor who is stretched thin trying to do the work of everyone else. Best Buy is not a recommended stop, and I wish this city had better alternatives.
James, a trainee, did a superb job in helping us select a cell phone and a phone package that was superior to the previous package we had. He also assisted with information transfer. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with.

This seems like a smaller best buy store, but they utilize their space well and everything is well laid out. The parking lot out front is not large and easy parking can be a challenge at times.

Went to best buy today with serious issues with my phone after going somewhere else that said phone probably couldn't be fixed. Justin went above and beyond to fix my phone. He was professional and very knowledgeable. He worked at it for approximately 3 hours. He worked past his shift and got it working perfectly. I bought 3 controllers and in a year they all stopped working. You can preorder a game and on the release day thay don't have the game you pre ordered. Took my laptop thare got it fixed took it home and now the FN key doesn't work its the same thing every time get it fixed and something else brakes.
The guy with the short black hair, glasses that worked in geek squad told me that I don't look rich enough to own the PC I wanted him to fix. Just like another person posted on their Best Buy review. The PC I purchased only had properly functioned for 7 days, then both the ethernet AND WIFI ADAPTER QUIT WORKING. The Geek Squad guy I mentioned said if I can't afford to pay his service fees, that he can legally keep it and sell it on the Best Buy shelves. There are missing parts from my PC tower when he gave it back to me. I no longer have a wifi adapter, which may cost me $600+ to replace and then I still need to pay someone else to install it.
It's a typical commission based sales place. When you need help you can never find someone, but when you don't need help you have a salesperson approach you every 2 minutes.
Do not I repeat do not purchase the Geek Squad Cell phone insurance. It is an utter scam. When my cell phone screen cracked the lady informed me there will be a 200 dollar deductible. Bought a Sony 65” TV through Best Buy’s affiliate Marketplace. What a big mistake that was! Don’t ever go through Marketplace. The product wasn’t packaged right (a 2yr old would have done a better job) so of course the TV that was delivered was cracked. And of course Best Buy was no help. They told me to go through the Marketplace seller. Once I emailed the pictures of the damaged TV, I stopped hearing from them. So I guess I’m out of my money and I have broken TV sitting in a the box. Now what?

Went in to buy all new kitchen appliances. Noone was around to help so we browsed while waiting for a sales person. Shortly after an older couple came in and the sale person came over to help them right away. We stood there waiting and waiting while this couple priced out this and that and the sale person wrote up a quote. After about half an hour of standing there we watched the old couple leave without spending a penny the sales person then said us do you guys need help. I was upset for having to wait so long so I told him we would be buying elsewhere. We went to the brick and bought our new fridge, dishwasher, stove and microwave there instead. We were in and out within 45 mins. Maybe best buy should have more staff on or train there staff not to assume that a young couple is less worth customer service... to bad they lost out on $6000 worth of appliance sales that day

Reserved a Sony tv online to be picked up the next day . I was well under the 24 hour limit .when I got to the store to pick upon was told they did not put it aside for me . Meanwhile the guy right beside me was paying for the exact same tv (probably the one I reserved). Will personally try my best to avoid this whole company after my experience today. Had 2 items reserved and when i showed up they had sold one or lost it, had no others in stock. It also took 45 minutes to get help to ask a simple question to a staff and once we flagged and chased him down he literally walked away while I was mid sentence. Not only did I receive poor service, it almost felt that staff were going out of their way to be rude. I'm disappointed I even have to give this place a star. 0/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.

My wife and I went to Chatham Best Buy to purchase a new television. When the sales associate approached us, I told him we wanted a simple tv. I told him we are on antenna and don't stream. I added we wanted a simple design and basic remote. He suggested a Fire TV. This is literally the exact opposite of everything I asked for. It is complicated and in looking for instructional info on line, I found horrible reviews, outlining all of my issues. That bad sales experience tells me, stay away from Best Buy and if you go, don't trust the salespeople.

I went to Best Buy today to purchase an all in one printer, but the two guys who waited on me were more interested in selling me the store protection plan than a printer. I left the store without making a purchase and will have to do more online research for a printer to meet my needs. Brick and mortar store should not be letting this happen...if i'm using the internet to do all my research then I am more likely to purchase online as well.

Best Buy has the needed products for the technology age, however, the staff here are poor at best. Knowledge on products was severely lacking, knowledge of product availability was lacking despite having inventory computers... The Customer service desk was the worst, as they were clearly not going to make any effort to help customers more than the bare minimum. Thanks down on Best Buy... but there aren't many options... Staff justified their lacklustre service by claiming that the store was really busy. We were the only people in line at the cellphone kiosk. The single staff member there told us he would be busy for 45 minutes and that he didn't know how long the wait would be for the staff support he had requested. On venturing out into the store myself, I found an available staff member within a minute. He had his manager help us. Staff had minimal knowledge about phones. We also noticed among the staff--in our hour or so of waiting for them--a lack of leadership, a lack of tact, and a lack of value for others' time.
Took ages to get any help and once someone showed up, explaining what a stereo jack is was like pulling teeth. Employee was also very eager to get rid of me.

There was two people giving the service and the initial person who helped me, Courtney, did great but she was new. However, the person who assisted Courtney was horrible. He was rude and after telling him that his offers were not in line with my needs, he walked away. He didn't check the phones condition nor did he even turn it on to see if the phone worked. I would not go back to bestbuy to buy a phone. The team environment obviously shows they don't care

Went in with my pc cause I got a new gpu and had an error I never heard of before on start up (cpu over voltage). I take it in they tell me my motherboard is broken and "they will look for one that fits" I also mentioned to them that I never updated my bios wasnt updated before I put it in as that might be the cause. (I know fail) guy tells me he's gonna do it for me (doesnt) I then go get my PC to find out the overvoltage was a misread by my motherboard all along and that it was fine... Found what we neede, friendly staff, half the TV's were not anywhere near optimized :(
Was told that the laptop I wanted wasn't very good and that they don't Carry it because of that .. walled 2 ft down the isle and there it was .. I confronted the salesman and was told that it was different than what I asked . Rude staff most of the time not a good selection unless you want headphones.

It's nice to go into a place like this and not get hounded relentlessly by salespeople, although we were offered enough help. A sales rep did answer plenty of questions about dashcams/GoPro (can't decide). There were plenty of sales throughout the store, which is clean, well organized and nicely laid out.

I bought a TV and everything was fine till i was at the checkout. The price was $719 and the installation fee was $200 as discussed with the previous staff a day before. But the next day at the check out i told him that Cameron the previous sales person said he would work out a deal for me. The person i was dealing with said he would knock off $250 of the TV. I was exited but when the bill came it added up to $1106 including the wall mount which was for $60. It did not make sense. I paid anyways and the minute i saw the bill i was shocked to see $349 setup fee. He basically made his money back on the TV. I asked him what this was and he started beating around the bush. I will never shop there again.

I took their insurance contract for my computor & was nevet told it was a 1 year contract.As a matter of fact I was told I could cancel anytime.When I wanted to cancel, I could not.In the meantime I changed credit card,gave them my new one,& got a call saying my payment was late & they would be advising the credit bureau.I called them & was told they were in error.I in the past,purchased my kobo,TV,washer/dryer,a 2nd washing machine,& a fridge,however I will never go back to bestbuy again.During my dealings with the manager,& staff I was treated poorly.When I called head office & having to talk to someone about my problem in the phillipines was also difficult.I suggest to anyone reading this,to go to any other electronic dealer for quality service.

Went there to ask some questions regarding my surround sound system. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable. Assistant manager offered to give me a discount on an optical audio cable. Ended up giving me half off the price!! I called him later on to ask some questions about the audio cable and how to configure it to my surround sound -- he stayed on the phone with me and explained thoroughly and patiently on what my options were. The new renovations look great. The store looks awesome and the displays are very engaging. Pricing is on par for all best buy franchises so not much to discuss about pricing. I did speak with a few employees and they were polite and informative. This is definitely one of the better Best Buys I have been to.

We have bought a lot of different things from Future Shop with good luck but a year or more ago I bought a SAMSUNG washing machine. On July 17th 2014 we phoned that it was leaking. Today is August 14, and it is still not repaired. They had to order parts and apparently, after half an hour on the phone, I have found that the parts still are not all in. This is crazy. I have a busy household and no washing machine to use. I will not ever buy appliances/extended warranties from Future Shop again.

I feel scammed. I have an issue with a laptop of mine, so I brought it in to see if they could help me and see if it was a hardware issue. I understood that they might not be able to help me with it but I gave it a shot. In person, I feel like their only goal was to upsell me and to rush me into signing paperwork. When my device was sent off, I received a call that made it obvious that they had no idea why I brought it in. Again I got the impression that I was being pressured into buying additional services that had nothing to do with why I brought my computer in. When I received the device back it had the same issues as when I sent it off, despite their reassurances.

My wife got a screen protector for her Apple Watch and it was supposed to be guaranteed, and now that she went to replace it, it turned out that it magically disappeared from their records! Pretty convenient, for them, of course. Don’t buy any guarantees from them, don’t waste your money, they won’t honour it.!

Recently we purchased a computer and printer from Best Buy at the May flower Mall. Just have to say that the customer service was exceptional. The employee who looked after us (Brayden) was excellent . He was not only knowledgeable ,but very good at listening to us and interested in finding us exactly what we were looking for. He answered our questions ,but also made some excellent suggestions . Thanks Brayden !!
Boxing day madness aside, the employees were very polite in the morning and answered all my questions as to needed.
Stood for over 40 minutes waiting for help. In fact I had to help others and even the staff because they lost track of the customers they were helping. One man got passed off three times because no one could pair his phone to the ear piece, till o e decided to read the instructions.
I try to use this store instead of Amazon for my electronics, and 9 times out of 10 can get what I want (today) at a better price, with better customer service and a no hassle return policy. Further, staff are always helpful and friendly to me - and I doubt they are making much of a paycheque, given the competition from online and other retail stores. I worked in electronics sales some 30-40 years ago, and income was horrible then! The only thing they no longer offer is DVD's, of course, but Walmart still does (and CD's), so that is one area Amazon can do better given the space needed for a wide selection. But for any electronics, at Best Buy you can see it, demo it, and return it if it was not what you wanted. All that within a day, unlike online, and the price is the same.

Warranty seems useless. My tablet shuts off at 90% , even with extra battery. I was told by staff that I must use another device to save my files. Give them my only communication device and wait 6 to 8 weeks for help. Why am I paying over 20 dollars per month ? For nothing! No help!

I found out that when you call a Best Buy store with a question , you can't get a real person anymore. Best Buy will not take any calls, they'll redirect you to use their website for everything. I had a few questions on an Amazon Echo I was planning on purchasing The Source and Staples were extremely happy to take my call and answer all my questions. Take a good guess where you think I didn't buy my Echo?

Gentleman at the exchange counter was very helpful. But then the store manager comes over and tries to tell me that I’m past the exchange timing but she’ll “do me a favour” on this one and that I should buy the product protection to avoid this again. I purchased it 2 weeks and 2 days ago and clearly states the policy on the website that I have 30 days. Either not educated on company policy or trying to take advantage of a situation in order to sell me the protection plan. I’m certain the later applies here.
Some of the best managers I've dealt with. Have had warranty Issues and it's been resolved every time. Andre and Ester are fantastic.
My go to store for electronics Great service, very knowledgeable and friendly staff every time I go in. I already know what I'm looking for when I go in but I almost always get hounded by the staff every 30 seconds They ask if I need help with anything and I tell them "no I'm alright thank you though" (if I did need help I would have asked) then afterwards I get watched over the entire time I'm there it makes feel VERY uncomfortable but I just ignore it and go about my business that is my only gripe with Best Buy but besides that it's a great place!
