When my husband and I were getting married, we spent a lot of time trying to find just the right photographer. We lived in Vancouver, but were getting married on Vancouver Island, so we were looking for a photographer on the island who could do amazing work and make dealing with the distance as easy as possible. Once we saw Karen's work, we knew we had to contact her. After talking to her, we knew we had found our photographer. She was so relaxed and friendly that she put us at our ease through the entire process. For our engagement shoot, she came to us in Vancouver and let us shoot at one of our favorite locations. It was such a fun time, she made us laugh and made it very comfortable for us. The pictures were taken with so many different backgrounds and textures that they turned out fun, flirty, and unique. With the wedding, she came early and very prepared. She took all of the pictures we were hoping to get and so many others that we could not have imagined. She gave good direction when she saw a shot that she wanted and took many more when you didn't realize she was shooting at all. Our pictures turned out amazing! When ordering our pictures, we couldn't believe how much they were willing to help us pick just the right pictures. Living in Vancouver, we couldn't go into their office to order our pictures. With the engagement photos, we were having problems coordinating a good time to go over pictures. To solve the problem Karen's office manager Christine called us at home in the evening to go over pictures with us to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. For our wedding album, they had a new online ordering system in place that let us tell Karen what our favorite pictures were, and she made sure to include those in our album, which turned out beautifully. Over all, we were so grateful to find Karen. Her warm, caring nature, and her amazing skill as a photographer helped to make our wedding great and gave us the photos we wanted to remember it by.

Karen is absolutely amazing. My wife and I read reviews, checked websites, emailed all the photographers in the Comox Valley and we decided to go with Karen. She was quick to respond to our emails, answered all of our questions and chatted us up on the phone to get an idea of what we are looking for. Then, because of our careers in the military and Covid-19, we had to adjust our wedding plans several times. Karen was so kind to us and understanding of our situation. We lucked out and had fantastic weather for the season on our wedding day and Karen captured our day in the most natural and stunning ways possible. You could easily see her commitment to getting unique photos as she laid in mud, just to get the perfect shot. I suppose what I am trying to say, is if there is one thing you don't cheap out on for your wedding day, it's a good photographer. If you are serious about your marriage, you will want to capture all of those moments as they happen naturally and posed. All I can say, is Karen is worth everything and we are so happy to have met her and have her there to share our day.

Karen was our wedding photographer for a bit of an unusual wedding. We had a winter, Gothic Victorian with a splash of steampunk themed wedding. Karen was great! The three most important things in the wedding were the dresses (two brides = twice the dress drama), the cake, and, of course, the photographer. We had a dark, artistic vision for our wedding and Karen was absolutely the best choice of photographer we could have made. We had so much fun working with her to collaborate on this vision, and the images that she captured fit exactly the mood and tone that we wanted. Not only did she do a great job with posed shots that fit the feel of our wedding, but also she caught some wonderful candid shots to help us treasure that day forever. Also, bonus points for helping us coordinate an engagement shoot at a cemetery. No request was too weird for her! :-) My only regret is that I moved away from the Comox Valley before I had a chance to have a boudoir session with her, I'm sure she'd be absolutely amazing for that!
