Our newborn photo session with Jana photography was really an amazing experience. They have lots of different outfits and decorations that no matter what you choose are just simply wonderful (in fact, I just like everything!). We were so grateful that we were able to do this with our baby. Jafar is really talented and very good with what he’s doing! He really knows how to make the baby calm so he can get the best photo for us! Can’t wait for our pictures to be ready. Again, Thank you so much for everything. This studio is highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience with Jana photography. Since I started contacting Nasim from Jana Photography for my baby girl smash cake, she has been nothing but prompt, detailed and communicative. When we arrived at the studio, the photoshoot didn’t start immediately. In order to get my baby girl happy and comfortable, the photographer( Jafar) told us it was important to first build rapport with her. There was an area in the studio with a play mat and lots of toys, and the photographer sat down with my baby girl and entertained her from the get-go! I must say they are really great with babies! In no time, my baby was chuckling away and we started the photography session with no cries or fussiness, just plenty of smiles and curiosity! We booked 4 shoots (maternity, newborn, 5 month and one year cake smash) with Jana Photography and each time they exceeded our expectations. To expand on our point - were away on a trip and the cake shop was closed the day of our baby's 1 year photoshoot, so they went out of their way to pick up our cake for us (@Le Gateau Bakeshop) and keep it in the fridge until the session. What's even more incredible is.... I thought I told them I needed them to pick it up for me but honestly do not know what is going on with me but, I did NOT! So the cake shop phoned me 20 mins before closing and Nasim was ON it! She picked it up right away and called me as soon as she had it in her possession. On top of that I was supposed to bring cookies and that morning driving back from Squamish was SO hectic I completely forgot and Nasim ran out and got some. Talk about AMAZING service and really a truly wonderful team to work with. Now our little munchkin has beautiful pictures and hilarious videos we took behind the scenes. We will cherish these experiences and recommend to anyone that is looking to book a session for themselves and/or their little ones. Thank you Nasim, Jafar and Mahsa!

Earlier this year my wife and I did a maternity shoot followed several weeks later by the baby shoot with our two week old baby girl. We are very happy that we chose Jana photography for this extremely important set of pictures. Everything from booking, preparation/instructions, to the actual photo shoots went very smoothly . Our baby girl didn’t wake, even once, during the entire baby shoot, thanks to Jana photography’s efficiency, skill, and gentle touch with outfit and swaddle changes. We were here for our baby’s 100 day photoshoot last Saturday and I was looking for a studio that was in Burnaby, had great reviews, and prices that would reflect the quality of the photos. I’m so glad we chose JaNa Photography! I was initially bummed out that I had missed the golden window of 2 weeks old for newborn photos, but seeing that they offered a 100 day photoshoot, I decided to book. Email communication was super prompt, and our photographer Mahsa was very kind and gentke during the shoot. Our son was a bit fussy but she made sure he wasn’t rushed, and not forced to do poses he didn’t like. The photos? Even more impressive. I am through the roof looking at the previews and can’t wait for my photos to be done. Thank you for the amazing photos and I hope to be back for other milestones!

My husband and I were on the search for a photographer to take our daughter's 100-day photos and we immediately knew we had to go with Jana Photography when we saw their work on their website and Instagram page. Not only were they very responsive with emails and phone calls, they were happy to answer all the questions and provide practical tips to make the most out of the photoshoot. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule our session as our baby was quite fussy on the day of, but Mahsa (our photographer) was very understanding and suggested rebooking when our baby was around 6 months to capture more poses. We are glad we took her advice! Mahsa is a very professional and skilled photographer who is great with babies and we are extremely happy with the photos that we got. We would definitely recommend this studio to anyone wanting to get beautiful baby and family photos!

Mahsa is the best. I would 100% recommend her for any kind of photography. We had a photoshoot of our 6 months old baby. She had lots of patience and knows how to entertain baby. She clicked so many beautiful pictures so it was really hard to choose few. If I have a good budget, I buy all pictures. You don't need even edited images, even her raw images are so wonderful. Studio is so nice and calm atmosphere. We were so confused before photoshoot for my baby like what if she keeps crying and doesn't allow to click pictures because she didn't see any outside people. But I don't know how Mahsa managed it and she was so comfortable with her and I can't believe we have her smiling pictures. Thanks a lot Mahsa <3

I read the reviews calling the photographer a baby whisperer and the owner claimed the same - I was still skeptical. Believe me when I say that if this guy opens a baby soothing shop it would be top of the line. Baby whispering aside, they were professional and the quality of the pictures that were shown to me were amazing. We should be receiving our pictures in about a week to select the ones we want but I'm very optimistic. This place did a great job for our newborn photos and couldn't recommend them enough, we even got to include our dog in the pictures as well. Amazing experience.

They were also flexible to customize one of the newborn packages to a newborn and sibling package for us with no extra charge. At the beginning of the session our 4 year old son was reluctant to take any pictures. For first time parents who were just 14 days post new arrival we arrived very sleep deprived and a little nervous what if baby cries and it just becomes a nightmare! I was just blown away with JaNa photography. I had contacted them very last minute to do a new born shoot and was so happy they accomodated us the very next week! Nasim responds very quickly and answered all my questions but the best part was the shoot itself. I was so excited for this shoot and was pleasantly surprised by how professional Jafar was with my baby. He was holding baby with one hand while wrapping her and getting her in all the cute wardrobe. I was so worried she would be fussy but she was so calm with him. that definitely exceeded my expectations. JaNa photography is hands down the most professional service you can find with the highest quality I’ve ever seen. They really do go above and beyond for every single customer. We did a shoot with our 6 month old and our 3.5 year old. Mahsa was very friendly and patient with our kids and got them to pose happily for lots of pictures. She took many different angles and styles of pictures as they have lots of sets and props to choose from. We are really happy with our experience and highly recommend Jana photography as well as Mahsa because she is so great with kids and takes beautiful pictures.

We worked with Nasim and Jafar for an outdoor maternity photo shoot. They delivered great customer service from my first inquiry phone call until the final delivery of our photos. Nasim gave detailed and thoughtful direction for our photo poses, arm placement, and angles, which made a huge difference in getting flattering photos of us. I had my maternity session with Nasim in March 2018. It was my first professional bump photo. The very first time meeting with Nasim I felt very welcomed and very warm by her approach, she was easy to speak too in regards to any ideas or suggestions. My maternity package includes a 2 hour session, we ended up going over the said time, and even then she never rushed and she took her time and allow me to take my time with every pose and every outfit. I enjoyed every bit of the photo session as I felt like it was my wedding photos all over again, getting all dolled up and being in all the beautiful gowns that the session provided, and the natural light off the studio and set up. When raw photos were sent back to me to choose, I had the hardest time picking as every photo turned out so well and I was very please. There are a lot of photographers out there to choose from but I will highly recommend Jana photography, Nasim to any of my bump friends or anyone out there looking for a dreamy, classy and artistic feel of photo shoot. Can't wait to go back for our newborn sessions. We will definitely choose Jana photography as our main photographer for family photos, or documenting our children's milestones.

I've had the best experience with JaNa photography. They were so professional! 6 days after I gave birth they came to my house and set up everything. They took such good care of my baby, she did not cry once. I was able to get ready while they took tons of pictures in many different poses of my baby girl. My baby has already changed so much, I'm very thankful to have these photos. We will be using them in the future :)

I cannot recommend them enough! I was told about Jana photography from a friend, I saw her photos and loved them. Unfortunately, when I called in Decemeber, JaNa was fully booked but the best xmas gift was they they managed to fit me in. This is all thanks to Mahsa who works in the office and assists the photographers. She is such a patient and kind person, and super well organized. Mahsa answered all of my questions and sent me all the info I needed from what items to bring to instructions on how to find the building and the free parking. :) Unlike other photography companies, Jana supplies all of the costumes/clothes/props that you could want. They are so creative, and open to your ideas. My maternity photographer was Maryam and she was amazing. I was so nervous and self conscious, but she made me feel so at ease. She took her time, until we got the right shot. I had such a great time, Our newborn photographer was Jafar. He truly is a baby whisperer! My newborn handled the photo shoot better than I did, thanks to Jafar! I still use one of his tricks to this day to calm my baby and help him fall asleep. HUGE HUGE thanks to JaNa Photography, I will be forever grateful for the amazing memories you helped me create.
