"Moussa! Moussa! Moussa!" Those were the shouts coming from all of our guests during the reception when Moussa played his same day edits slideshow. All were amazed by his work. When you first meet him, you feel like you've known him for years. He's not just your photographer, he becomes family. Karla and I could not have had it any better. Moussa also had the courtesy to call us about a job outside the country who are long time clients. Some things came up and they needed to make his trip sooner than the regular yearly schedule and it overlapped into our wedding weekend. He wanted to know what our thoughts were. We loved his work so much that we wanted him to stay for our wedding instead and although we felt like we were holding him back he comforted us and let us know that he was more than OK with our decision. Wedding in the midst of pandemic? Why not! Let’s make it happen! Let’s do it! My wedding was a week before the lockdown in Ontario. December 18,2020, days before the winter solstice, days before the great conjunction, the last sunny day of December, perfect, elegant and beautiful day. T’was really meant to be, meant to happen, the day was tailored for me and Clark to exchange vows. Of course we will not let let this special day passed without capturing the most intimate, emotional, glittering wedding of the year by far in our family. Moussa, our photographer from fotoreflections took the most gorgeous photos of us and our family. He captured the best moments. He followed our instructions, he was very professional, he even added some other effects to make it even more grand. I am still in awe of his works. He responded really well even at the very last minute. I never had any issues in communicating with him and I never had any “bridezilla” moments because he accommodated our needs quickly. Would I recommend him? YES 100%. Not will I only recommend him to others but I will keep him as our photographer in every milestone of our family. We are one family now. And for me, that’s really the key on good quality photography; build a relationship with your photographer, get to know each other and with that everything will just come out naturally. We located Fotoreflections through an internet search for best photographer in our area, so we decided to call to get more information. Our initial call went to voice mail but within a few hours of leaving a message, Moussa called us back while on a break during a wedding photo shoot. I very rarely write reviews but we were very fortunate that we had Moussa as our wedding photographer! It is very true when people told us photographer is the most important wedding professional as you would spend the entire day with them. After meeting close to 30 photographers by email, phone or in person in the early days of research, Moussa definitely stood out as the most passionate, flexible and fun professional, who delivered outstanding end products at a very fair price point. When we asked if he could make a trip from Toronto to Montreal for our engagement photo shoot (unlike other photographers that expressed they did not want to travel or quoted us close to $1000 extra just for the trip), Moussa agreed in a heart beat and was very excited in the planning process, even offering many great ideas on photo shoot locations in Montreal. Moussa definitely was very flexible and willing to work with us which made the entire experience very enjoyable. Leading up for the wedding, Moussa offered to meet a few times in person just to get to know each other and to plan the day. After spending an afternoon with Moussa during our engagement photo shoot in Montreal, we were both extremely impressed by his pursuit to perfection and creativity - some of the photos he took made us looked like movie stars! After that experience, we both felt very comfortable with Moussa and had full trust in his ability to deliver the best photo shoot experience and quality on our wedding day! On our wedding day, Moussa again went above and beyond - he showed up early and was there with us way past the time that he was supposed to stay till - it was a very long day! It was important for my wife and I to find a photographer who was easy going, but also someone with a lot of knowledge capturing in the style we were looking for. Most wedding photographers are great at capturing static moments; those traditional formal photos; but we were looking for more, we wanted images that came alive. The Photo Journalistic “style” isn’t new, but it’s become trendy with Weddings and after seeing our final set of images compared to other more traditional photos I've seen before, I’m so glad we took the route we did. The number of non-posed moments mixed in with funny and formal just makes us re-live that wonderful day every time we see our photos. We found Fotoreflection (Moussa) from a referral provided to us from The Atrium in Burlington. Although our first meeting didn’t go as planned, everything after went nicely. His personality is very positive and his style was just what we were looking for. He was terrific with our family and other members of the bridal party and always so polite and respectful towards our guests. He and his wonderful assistant did a terrific job and when we finally received our photos, he captured so many amazing moments just the way we wanted. A few more traditional formal photos would have been ideal, but overall, we were absolutely thrilled with Moussa, during the engagement session, on our wedding day and finally with the images he provided. Wedding photos should be stress free and Moussa did everything he could to make sure we were happy and having fun during one of the most stressful days of our lives. Don’t under estimate the value of a professional photographer who knows what they are doing technically, but do it in a relaxed way. It’s worth so much more and something few seek out.
