We loved our experience with two cheeks studio. I'll be the first to admit that we were all a bit camera shy and awkward at first, and apart from weddings, getting professional family photos done was not something that we had ever experienced in our adult lives. But Pat and Al were so easy going and made the experience easy, fun and enjoyable - especially for the toddler who had an absolute blast! My sister and I have these great goofy photos from a photoshoot our parents made us do as kids, likely begrudgingly at the time. But those are some of the most cherished photos now. We know that these new photos will stand the test of time, and bring us right back to these beautiful moments together.

We had such a great experience with TwoCheeks studio. With our province being held in complete lockdown, there’s not a chance I could risk bringing a photographer into our home at this time. My little one is growing so quickly and I was keen to find someone to document him. I’d not heard of virtual photography until my girlfriend posted photos from her virtual shoot with Alecia. They were stunning. Alecia was so patient and kind while photographing my 1.5 year old son, (whose behaviour was less than kind that particular morning). And the photo’s turned out beautifully. So much so that many of my mama friends have already requested their own virtual sessions with Alecia :) Highly recommended, the process is too easy. I will be booking another session ASAP!

Their level of professionalism, responsiveness, and organization gave us confidence going into our wedding day, and they far exceeded our expectations. They constantly communicated with us leading up to the event to make sure they were catering their services to what we were looking for in the photos they would be capturing, while guiding us with their professional opinion when we asked for it. On the day of the wedding, they did an incredible job of pre-identifying locations to capture our couples photos, making it a seamless process when it came time to step away from our group, and the locations they suggested were perfect. They were organized and coordinated to know exactly who to photograph during our family formals, and respected the time we had to capture the formal pictures. Throughout the day, they were able to accommodate changing venues, loss of daylight (as it was an evening wedding), and through their talented work they were able to brilliantly capture the atmosphere with quality photos at every step. We had a very tough time narrowing down our 'favourites' to less than 25! Our one major ask prior to the wedding was capturing organic and candid photos of our guests. Being so friendly and modest, they were able to fit into our small group of guests, making everyone comfortable, and the photos they captured reflected that by perfectly representing people's personalities. We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome of the photos. The level of service and professionalism Patrick and Alecia provide is the gold standard for what professionals should strive to achieve. Alecia at Two Cheeks was incredible! She was able to capture our family in a virtual photoshoot effortlessly. She responded to all my questions and made sure we were fully prepped for the session. I was worried it would be tough to take natural photos of our family, but she was able to not only get our newborn, but also our dog! We're so excited to share these photos with our friends and family and print them out for gifts! I highly recommended the virtual shoot to friends, especially now when we're unable to see people and use traditional photo services.

There are not enough words to describe How professional and laid back Patrick and Alecia are. They make you feel comfortable and beautiful even with no makeup at an impromptu photo shoot. You almost forget the camera is even there. The best thing about them is they catch the inbetween moments. Real moments that a lot of other photographers miss. I love how their photos aren’t staged and show peoples true characters. They listen to what your expectations are and they source out the most incredible locations. They have a magic about them and it carries on in their photographs. These talented individuals are beyond creative and have an eye like no other. Investing in Two Cheeks Studio for our wedding photography was one of the easiest, and best, decisions we made while planning our wedding. Not only were they incredibly easy to get a hold of for questions, no matter how small they were, they also were so helpful and understanding when we had to pivot our wedding a little due to COVID-19. They were willing to work with us to find a different date that worked for all the vendors and they also were so amazing and understanding in helping us re-plan our much smaller wedding. What I also loved about them both is that they really pushed us to have the wedding, and photos, that we wanted. They always were stressing that this is was our day – want your dog in the photos? Do it! Having your sisters stand as the maid of honour and best man? Go for it! There was never any questioning our decisions and there was absolutely no pressure. Not only were we planning a wedding during the pandemic, we also were planning a wedding from across the country! We live in Nova Scotia, but got married in Ontario, which of course proved to be a little challenging. Even more challenging, we also were planning a wedding in an area (Belleville) where we had no family, so it made it that much harder to find vendors, including photographers, to invest in. After a lot of sleuthing online, we found Two Cheeks and set up a time to chat with them to see if they would be a match for our wedding (after that one call, we knew that they were perfect!) Al and Pat also were incredibly helpful in suggesting other vendors in the area to work with. In fact, we ended up going with their recommendations for our flowers, hair and makeup! Skip forward to the day of the wedding - with only 17 family members there, you would think that two photographers would be over the top and that they may stick out amongst the family. Nope; not even close. Al and Pat quickly became members of our family that day, chatting with everyone and hopping around from room to room as we got ready. Even Grandma, who hates having her photo taken, was willing to smile for them! Al and Pat were also incredibly receptive to what we wanted to see in the photos (including our rescue pup Kona and a group shot of everyone there!) and they were eager and willing to do pretty much anything for a shot. The day after the wedding, almost every single family member who was there commented on how lovely Al and Pat were, how easy going and fun they were, and how half the time everyone forgot there were two photographers in the background, catching all the special moments. If you are in the fence about the investment and working with Two Cheeks, stop contemplating it and just do it! We could not be happier with the photos we have from the day and the experience of working with Al and Pat.

Two Cheeks Studio really came through for our family during an incredibly difficult time. Leading up to my husband's stem cell transplant Two Cheeks and The Blessington airbnb gifted us with an incredible one-night stay with an hour-long couple's shoot. Patrick & Alecia are simply lovely. From the moment that they walked in for the shoot they were warm, inviting and helped us to feel comfortable. You can definitely see this in the results of the photos. During my husband's hospital stay we decorated the room with the photos and reflected to get through the time. When we were thinking of having family photos done our main goal was to capture how our family interacts every day (with slightly nicer clothing). Pat and Al exceeded our expectations. During the shoot we felt at ease to play, laugh and even dance our way through the session without having to worry about being posed right or looking at the camera. When they sent us our gallery we were so happy. Our galley is a small snippet of time that embodies our every day lives. We will cherish our memories from the day as well as the photos. Two Cheeks Studio, or more affectionately known as Pat and Al, are by far the best photographers that you could ask for. They were professional and straightforward, and helped make our vision for our wedding a reality. Originally one of the challenges my wife and I faced was deciding if we wanted professional photography at all. Were we getting good value, and were they the photos we wanted to capture. It was very daunting trying to sift through different photographers with different styles and try and see if any were what we originally envisioned. Plus we were a little nervous about having photos taken of us. After working with the pair of them, they made us feel so comfortable and made the experience so fun and memorable. When look for a wedding photographer, we had no idea where to begin. After looking on Instagram, we stumbled upon Two Cheeks Studio. I loved the candid shots and how they managed to capture both the couple and the scenery around them. I reached out and Alecia was very responsive. She set up a FaceTime meeting us immediately. After meeting with a few photographer, we felt the most comfortable with them. Alecia was quick to answer my million questions and they were very prompt with sending over paperwork. We hired Alecia and Patrick for our daughter’s baptism during COVID-19. They were awesome and I highly recommend their services. They are trendy, friendly, and professional. I love that they were very natural during the ceremony (non-intrusive) and took many great posed and candid shots. (Especially candid shots of our kids: aged 4, 2, and 2 months). I am no professional photographer but I know how tricky it is to get good shots of my kids. They are always moving and sometimes uncooperative but that didn’t seem to get in the way of Alecia and Patrick. I think it helps that they have young kids of their own so that gives them lots of practice time. I totally recommend that you check out their Instagram account…. So stunning! Communication was very easy and quick. I am so grateful that we chose them to capture our daughter’s baptism and I will definitely be contacting them in the future for more pictures. If you’re on the fence about investing in their services, I wouldn’t hesitate to say that you will have no regrets.

Our daughter’s first birthday came up during COVID-19 and honestly, we weren’t sure how to celebrate it. That being said, we are so happy with our decision to ask Two Cheeks Studio to help us document it. Two Cheeks Studio showed up to spend a morning with our little family of three as friends and family video-called and stopped by for porch visits. During the session, Al blended into the background and was able to capture our special moments during the day as they happened. This was especially helpful with our daughter who can sometimes be a bit camera shy. I had no idea what to expect from a virtual photo shoot, but I've seen a lot of Two Cheeks Studio's work so I had no doubt the results would be incredible! During COVID lockdowns, it's tough not getting out to do all the fun things we used to and making "normal" memories, so it was actually really nice to have some sweet, quiet "at home" moments captured of me and my 3 month old daughter. Those simple moments stuck inside during these times are ones I know we'll look back on fondly, and it's nice having them captured so beautifully. Where do I begin???? I contacted Two Cheeks when my fiance at the time and I had decided to elope due to the pandemic. I was tentative about telling Al and Pat about how we wanted a sunrise wedding, I was worried they wouldn't be into a 6am start time. To our surprise, they LOVED the idea!!! We were delighted!! Their passion, excitement and positive energy made this a match made in heaven!! They scoped out potential locations for us and came up with so many options. On the day of, my first meeting with Al was in the hallway when I was trying to make the sunrise time and I needed her to zip my dress (we eloped and I got ready by myself). She was so lovely and calmed me down as clearly I was rushing and frazzled. Then we arrived at the beach, Pat with my husband Asad had been there already and Al went to work. We had so much fun as the beautiful sunrise accompanied us along with the ferocious wind. After our beach photos we had our ceremony at the Drake Devonshire in the owners suite. Al and Pat so graciously accepted our request to be our witnesses. We are officially family!!! :) The photo below is only one of the many spectacular captures. The editing by Pat was phenomenal. The turn around time was perfect. But most importantly, we are so happy. Al and Pat are artists, their passion comes through in how they connect with their clients, the light & the environment and it comes out, undeniably in their photos. We highly recommend Two Cheeks for every occasion!!! <3
