I have completed many projects in the brand new Studio B since it opened in fall 2019, and it is an absolute dream to shoot in. It's spacious, and has all the amenities a team needs, including a private and convenient changing room and a large two-station makeup area. Load-in is fast and convenient through the dedicated double door entrance right at the main parking lot. There's an enormous two-sided cove, but also oversize sets to use as detailed backdrops. A lovely touch is a white baby grand piano that is even in tune. One of my models was able to entertain us with some classical pieces while we shot! The light inside is beautiful, washing in via the huge garage-style glass door and windows either side of a finely detailed fireplace set. I have shot with just the ambient window light at various points in the day, and also with mixed strobe/window light, and the results are wonderful. I have shot in studio A even more times since it opened in 2018. It contains more uniquely styled sets to shoot with, as well as a full set of seamless paper backdrops. The light inside is beautiful but can also be blacked out completely if a project requires that (as it did for at least one of mine that was lit entirely with pocket LED flashlights). The staff are consummate professionals and go out of their way to ensure a successful shoot. The gear is modern, solid and well maintained. I give this studio my highest recommendation. You really need to shoot here!

Always a wonderful experience to book here! Staff are amazing and are always respectful when their clients are respectful. I know for a fact that the owners are kind and generous, but are not doormats. Nobody should be a doormat; in life nor in business. I booked this space in the springtime for a big event, and the owners went above and beyond, as they always try to do. I look forward to visiting again soon.

No one has ever spoken to me with this level of rudeness, disrespect or vulgarity before. One of the staff essentially barked at me- that is the best way I can describe the experience. This is NOT what our group was expecting when we gathered to celebrate our friends' special day. They ruined the most important day in someones life for something the couple did not do and should be absolutely ashamed. When you work in a client facing role, you should be trained on basic customer service and conflict resolution skills. That was absolutely not the case. Please think about properly training your staff before taking on more customers and ruining their important occasions as well.

Impressive and well equipped photo studio. The studio can be booked online and has several halls. Props are available as well as multiple background. Excellent customer service, coffee and water is free as well. Studios are big enough to do almost anything.

Great space, and facilities are well thought out. Speaking with the owner you can tell this business is a passion, and that passion is again reflected in the details of this creative space. There is a lot of variety in the sets/backgrounds, while all retaining a cohesive feel. Lots of natural light available, and the washrooms/break area are very nice too. There are also no shortage of amenities, lots of colour balanced lights, and tonnes of outlets for your equipment! Not details most will mention in a review, but I feel are important details.

Lots of space, has everything you need - small kitchen, washroom with shower, change room with big mirrors. Different Lights and backgrounds provided for extra charge. Owner is very helpful and he made sure we had everything needed, he even assisted with lights setup. Great experience! P.S. it's not a fancy studio but we still got amazing photos.

Giving studio by house a 1 start is being generous, I watched the staff ruin a wedding in the span of 10minutes with the unprofessional way they treat customers. Most of the props they have inside are flimsy and really cheap, it takes alot of editing for a photographers so the pictures can come out half decent, so if you want your big day ruined and be highly disappointed then I highly recommend you booking this place, if not run!!

I have shot at this location a fair bit and I can confidently say this studio is among my top choices in the GTA. There are two units available; both offering ample natural light and a decent selection of lighting and accessories at an affordable rate. Peter is incredibly accommodating and helpful but offers space and privacy when needed as well. I noticed he listens to clients suggestions and specific needs which is rare and has gathered even more accessories to his arsenal of equipment offered. Both studios offer a range of features and both have kitchen settings with bathrooms and clean. bright dressing/makeup areas for prep. The new studio has a beautiful, large white bathroom, an extra long hallway and a very cool makeup area with a glass wall that's super pretty. At one point I was complaining about the parking BUT as long as you don't mind a little bit of a walk its always free in the back and free is rare in the GTA so it's actually pretty awesome. All in all a very affordable, versatile and functional studio that I will be utilizing again in the future and highly recommend

Best bang for your buck when it comes to studios out on the west end of Toronto. I rented Studio A, it is very nice, makeup room is awesome, as well as the rest of the space. Peter is very accommodating, down to earth and willing to share his wealth of knowledge in photography. This will be my studio of choice from now on.

I’ve shot in Peter’s studio for a few years now and the amount of love he has for beautiful spaces grows and grows every time he updates the layout. I appreciate how well he communicates and clarifies things for me and the studio is perfect for content creators or folks who need a multi-purpose space for commercial/branding purposes. This is a studio I’d recommend to any of my clients in the West end! The Parking and location are far away from the business of the city and everything is so well organized. I love how Peter has options for curtains and backdrops and they’re all ready to go when you walk into the studio. The little makeup station is well lit and the clothing rack is great to help clients settle in and make the most of their studio time. The price always provided the best value and it’s another reason why I’d recommend it to my clients!

A great space for photo shoots! We had a team of 14 people who needed company head shots for our website. Shooting at Studio by House was such a great choice for us because of the lovely customer service, the clean space, great makeup station, & amazing sets with beautiful decor and lighting. They have definitely thought of almost everything to make this studio so comfortable for their clients. They even have a coffee + tea station, a sound system to play music, free wifi & tons of lighting equipment. I just wish there were a few outlets at the makeup station to plug in our hot tools. Overall it was such a great space, & would highly recommend booking a session here.

Beautiful and very practical with lots of options to use as backdrops for your photo shoots. The walls have different paint colors and textures and the studio has large windows for Natura light shoots.

Fantastic studio I have been using it for years. Peter who owns the studio is the kindest person who will always help you if you need it. Currently its closed due to covid but for 2021 I would highly recommend this space. There are 2 studio spaces A & B. Both for photography and video. Always 5*

A little tricky to find the studio once in the building but I was able to call Peter for extra directions. He left the studio and allowed us to shoot is private which was very kind! The space was big alot of natural light many many background colour options and you can use any of the props in the room. Swings, stools chairs fanns anything beautiful place

The space is gorgeous and the owner is an absolute professional who goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are well taken care of, comfortable & confident in the space. He makes himself available for any questions before and during the session while allowing the client their space & privacy to work. I cannot recommend this studio highly enough! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL - DO NOT BOOK. I was extremely disappointed in the way the staff treated the whole bridal party. On a day which was meant to celebrate our friends wedding, We had a horrible experience. Working in the wedding industry, I would not recommend this studio. I typically only write reviews when I've experienced something extraordinarily positive or disappointing. This review is for the latter. I visited the studio for a friend's shoot the other week and was shocked at the service and experience as a whole. It's amusing to see a ton of the studio's positive reviews coincidentally being posted on the same day. It's always unfortunate to see a business fabricating positive appeal (the time to do that was probably before noticing a downtrend). Everything I say in this review is as described and not exaggerated nor is it the product of another person's asking. Once I arrived at the studio (which isn't exactly appealing from the outside - when I saw the sign [super dim/dark], my mind went to imagining another form of explicit 'photo studio', which is a minor gripe but probably helpful to the owners if they wish to make it more attractive to those like me who hadn't previously heard of them). Usually when you go to a studio (or any business for that matter), you're greeted with enthusiasm... as the staff typically are grateful for your business and look forward to the session. *This was before the obvious incident occurred that had nothing to do with me by the way*. I have also never seen an employee carelessly scream and shout over something that (I can debate this till the cows come home) wasn't worth it, especially to parties that had no involvement in the incident. Learn how to speak to people and never generalize customers based off of their appearance or who they happen to be associated with at the time. You know better than that and you also never know where your customers come from (ex. line of work) nor what they know or don't know about rules and how to act - it's not worth the risk. *I'm not talking about myself in that example* I don't know names because as soon as our session was over, I left without question or comment, but there was a lady (the one that doesn't know how to act with civility - *regardless of circumstance*) and the rude and careless (albeit quiet) male employee (who was acting as a doorman on the day in question). I wouldn't recommend this studio to anybody based upon my experience above (which you can read more about in the other comments), especially if you're a person of colour (yes, sadly... upon reflection, it did go there). For me, service goes hand in hand with quality. I'm not saying the studio doesn't know how to create for great shots. They probably do - although a prop fell apart/seemed cheap (I haven't seen the final product of the shoot)... but if I see horrendous service, especially as someone that was cooperative and compliant the ENTIRE time I was there yet received the worst of it as well, then that's game over to the business from me.
