Rowell Photography Amongst the numerous venders required and selected for a wedding, photography is obviously one of most important: after all once the day is over, your memories are captured in the photos. After meeting Ryan & Erika we knew we had found the right people for the job. One of the great aspects of Rowell Photography is that there are two photographers. Therefore every moment was captured, and multiple vantage points were achieved. Ryan & Erika quickly became an important aspect of our wedding experience. From our casual engagement shoot at the cottage to the actual wedding day, every detail was captured with creativity and style. Their positive and humorous personalities allowed us to feel comfortable and natural during the shoots. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Thousands of photos were taken, and I have to say I pretty much love them all! Even the goofy candid’s. We would absolutely recommend Rowell Photography for any special event requiring unique, creative, and professional photography.

To Rowell Photography, The lovely pair of photographers were probably the most professional and delightful people we have worked with so far. Right from the beginning, Erika was very prompt in replying all our emails. She was full of creativity for possible photoshoot locations and even illustrated her ideas with photos. Planning the photoshoot was a breeze as Erika regularly reminded us of the things to bring and prepare. Personally, I had planned for a surprise photoshoot of my proposal to my fiancé and they did a really good job in keeping a little secret for me. That itself is a testament of their professionalism. When we met up for the first time we became fast friends. Erika was such a cheerful person to be around and Ryan’s witty humour got us laughing all the time. They were extremely considerate of our welfare during the photoshoot and Ryan took off his coat to lend to us when we were cold. They were very flexible of the change in timing as we predicted bad weather but thankfully everything went as planned. They were not at all particular of the hours they put in while shooting and made sure every shot was well taken before they went on to the next scene. In fact, they actually shot for much longer hours than we had paid for. Prior to the photoshoot, I also saw them walking the ground to plan for our photoshoot. That way they already knew where to set up their equipment and wasted very little time between each scenes. After the photoshoot we went to a nearby restaurant for a nice dinner. It was very much like a double date. We really appreciate their candidness and professionalism throughout the whole photoshoot. Their personal touch in the work they do made us feel special. We were especially touched when they gave us Polaroid photos of the pre wedding photo shoot as a gift just before we said our final goodbyes. On the whole, their pricing are probably the most reasonable out there and after all they have done for us, we felt that we had gotten more than we had bargained for. Thank you Rowell Photography for making our pre-wedding shoot such a pleasant experience. We miss you already and we hope to cross paths with you again in future. Keep in touch in facebook! :)

I have been putting off getting professional headshots done for YEARS. I really don't like how I look in most photos, and the whole idea of having a photoshoot felt very egotistical and vain. I knew if I wanted people to take me and my business seriously, I needed to have professional photos done. But I worried about wasting my money and time, and hating the end result. I am SO glad I found Ryan. Before we even met on location, I knew he was the right person for the job. His gentle questioning and consideration made me feel at ease. His tips surrounding how to use location, clothing, and body language to achieve my goals made me realize just what a master of the craft he is, BEFORE he even touched the camera. He really understands and pays attention to nuances. We met outside in a park during COVID restrictions (Spring 2020), but he had all the paperwork in place to work in certain locations (as long as we kept distance). He was very diligent about following the rules. The shoot was a lot of fun, he helped me loosen up and I left thinking "even if none of the photos turn out, it was TOTALLY worth it because it I had a great time and learned a few things". Who says that after having their picture taken?! I never had before. Turn around time was quick so I didn't have to be nervous about the pictures turning out poorly for long. The photos I selected all capture my brand values, AND make me look good (IMHO). There are some silly/absolutely ridiculous ones, but if I hadn't trusted Ryan's direction, we wouldn't have been able to get the great ones. We were able to get some really *incredible* photos! Seriously, beyond what I imagined. I'm already planning a winter photo shoot in my mind. (Who *AM* I?) It's a no-brainer. Work with Ryan. He's awesome and your photos will be too.

I got married two weekends ago, and I honestly cannot stop talking about how amazing Ryan and Luca were! Wow. I do believe I found the best photographer in Ontario to capture the most amazing day. Photography is the most important part of the wedding day, and Ryan and Luca were a perfect fit for our big day! Thank you guys, again!

I discovered Rowell Photography last spring when I was looking for photographers who had photographed weddings in the Muskoka/Gravenhurst area, as I was hoping to find a photographer familiar with my particular wedding venue. It was during this process that I stumbled upon Rowell Photography ... and was blown away by the work that they had done. Their work was truly a cut-above anything I had seen. And, more importantly, my husband and I knew that the only thing you really get to take away from your wedding at the end of the day are the photographs (since even memories fade ... but not if you have beautiful photos of them!). Erika and Ryan are not only extremely talented photographers, they are true professionals (and nice people!). They work very hard to help you get not only the best wedding photos, but the best engagement photos (they planned an entire trip to Niagara for us!), the best wedding album, and the best wedding experience you can hope for. I have so many beautiful wedding and engagement photos to look at and am constantly complimented by friends and loved ones about their work. Wonderful photographers...Wonderful people... The best investment you could make for your wedding!
