I had a straight up excellent experience working with Mix11 Studios. If you're looking for someone who REALLY knows their stuff, the owner, Daryl Sarnat is your guy. I reached out to the studio looking to have the title song for an upcoming album both mixed and later mastered, along with the rest of the album in it's entirety to be mastered as well. Somehow Daryl just made things work and he was super flexible. Addressing all my concerns as an artist, anything I wanted altered in the mix was done in a timely manner and sent back for review, and the process repeated until things were just right. A very knowledgeable studio in what they do, and I am very happy with the final outcome of the album. It sounds awesome! Super excited to release later thanks to Daryl's effort. Folk music songwriting has been one of my hobbies for a long time. By the end of this tough year I wanted to make something to support especially those in airline business and letting them feel that we’re all together riding through this rough stormy clouds to hopefully see the bright blue skies in the end. The high quality recording, mixing and editing while keeping a light authentic taste - that was my idea to be brought to a very special audience. I was so happy to have Daryl and his Mix11 Studio met for this project and the album now is just about to be released as a holiday gift for my friends in huge aviation family. Daryl did absolutely amazing job with his very professional approach, creativity and patience allowing me to handle 20+ acoustic guitar song recordings within just a few days and then mastering the tracks to perfection. I had a great experience at Mix11. Daryl is a serious pro. That dude can track and mix in his sleep. While I was in the studio, we laid down vocals, guitar and percussion. Everything sounded so good going through his mics and analog gear. I've never seen another studio with an actual Ampex ATR-102 (I have the UAD plugin for that but it's not the same). He also started a rough mix while I was there, and even after just a few minutes of mixing he already had the track sounding like it could have been on the radio. I can't wait to hear the finished mix!
