We had the pleasure of having The Mou Studio do our engagement session and shoot our wedding day. It’s an overwhelming task trying to find a photographer and Ted was by far one of the better decisions my wife and I made while planning our wedding. He’s a very genuine person and it definitely shows in his work. He has a real gift for catching the “moment”. Neither my wife nor I like staged photos or really love taking photos to begin with so Ted was honestly a blessing in disguise. He has a real gift for making people feel comfortable and is really good at giving direction. In all honesty we both forgot he was even around sometimes and if it wasn’t for the awesome photo evidence we wouldn’t even have known we had a photographer. He didn’t miss a single moment! My husband and I were beyond impressed to have found Ted and to have worked with him for our very special wedding day. Neither one of us lived in Calgary, so finding him was like finding a gem. We shared our vision and what we liked and didn't like and he was very accommodating. Our pictures were phenomenal!!! It was going to potentially be cold during our wedding in mid-October, so Ted lovingly reached out to me and told me that I may need to buy a nice white scarf/shawl to wear; how considerate! I would 100% have him take our pictures and would recommend him to everyone! He was also very affordable!

Ted was our photographer for our mini wedding this past July, where we encountered true Calgarian weather from sunny skies to thunderstorm and hail. Ted was absolutely amazing to work with from our initial meet and greet at his studio to receiving our final photos. He didn't forget to check in on us during COVID. He made sure we were ok with the weather we might encounter. He was incredibly professional and passionate throughout the whole process. You could tell how much he truly loved his job every step of the way. He even stood under pouring rain spouts to get the perfect pictures! The final photos we received were phenomenal and way beyond our already high expectations. To top it off we received all our photos in a very timely manner. The overall experience was worth every penny. Ted deserves way more than 5/5 stars and we would definitely recommend him to all our family and friends!

Ted did such an amazing job with both our engagement session and our wedding photos. I was really worried about not being able to open up to the camera, and that our pictures would look awkward. Ted really helped with coaching us to be more comfortable with being photographed. On our wedding day, unfortunately it rained the whole day, and was very wet during our couples session. This is any bride's worse fear, but Ted helped to make the most of it. Our rainy pictures turned out beautiful, Ted has really admirable work ethic as he braved through the downpour to help us get our shots. The pricing for the quality of work is outstanding. Compared to other photographers, excellent value for what you pay for. We love our pictures, and are so grateful to have all of these priceless memories to look back on for several years later. Ted has taken photos for our family for the last few years and he's amazing. He makes everyone feel comfortable so pictures turn out very natural. It's very difficult to get kids to cooperate but he is able to capture them at their best. We have been so happy with the photos Ted has taken for us and highly recommend him. Ted has been our "go to" photographer for every major event in our lives: engagement, wedding, maternity, newborn and, most recently, the first holiday season for our son. Ted is extremely talented and captures candid moments so beautifully and naturally. He is very creative when it comes to different angles and poses, and will always ask if there are things of significance that we would like incorporated into the photos (e.g. for our engagement session, Ted remembered special details from our proposal story and made sure to include those in the photos). Ted is also wonderful with babies and incredibly patient, as tested by our grumpy son during both his newborn and holiday photos! Ted has been a part of our journey together from a couple to a small family, and I could not imagine a better person having captured those priceless memories for us. Thank you, Ted!!

We had an engagement session with Ted in Vancouver, BC and he was awesome! The weather on our scheduled day turned out to be quite gloomy but we managed to get in some amazing shots during the "golden hour" before it started to rain. Ted was great at directing us to pose correctly to get the best shots. We were a little worried about how to pose and with his direction, we looked like naturals! You know, like as if we really are in love with each other. Lol! All kidding aside, if you're looking modern, romantic and beautiful shots, Ted is the guy you're looking for. Received our photos online within the time-frame specified and was able to easily navigate through the photos to view and download. The website is also wonderful to look at and click through. Some things I look for as a creative! :)
