If you're thinking of getting married in Banff or Lake Louise, you should absolutely consider Elope in Banff. My hairstylist compared Sharon to Mary Poppins and it was a very apt comparison because it seemed like she anticipated our every concern or question beforehand, and was very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I had the best day of our lives- we were married at Lake Louise with the horse drawn carriage package. It was lightly snowing that day, and absolutely magical. We are the kind of couple who'd probably elope or go to the courthouse, but we decided we wanted a nice, intimate wedding, and what we got was more wonderful than we ever imagined. My family was blown away as well (they kept asking how we found this company all weekend!), and they all had a really wonderful time. I'm really really happy that we decided to do this small destination ceremony with them, it was really just so beautiful and stress free. We absolutely have to thank Sharon and Elope in Banff for the experience, they made it so easy for us to have the dream wedding we'll remember for the rest of our lives!

Sharon is a seasoned professional when it comes to planning small weddings in Banff and it showed! We hired her for a low-stress secret elopement and it was absolutely the right choice. We got the gorgeous wedding we had hoped for without any stress. Each member of the small team she put together for our wedding was a complete pro at what they do and everything about our day was wonderful. Importantly, Sharon herself was a complete delight. My husband is still talking about what a beautiful person she is. Awesome from start to finish As soon as I reached out to Sharon her calm, efficient, confident manner put me at ease. As the day drew nearer, I found myself thinking there must be something to plan or do for the wedding- but there wasn't! Sharon had it all under control. I think it is really telling that when I was getting my hair done, the stylist commented that they can always tell when they get one of Sharon's brides because they are always so relaxed! Putting the biggest day of ones life into the hands of somebody you do not know is a daunting decision, however from the moment we met our wedding organiser Claire at our Hotel in Banff we knew we had made the correct decision. Claire took care of all the wedding formalities (licences etc.) and then to the florist followed by a much needed coffee. She ran through the order of ceremony in a really friendly and caring yet professional manner and took time to answer all our questions, so that we were fully aware of what was required and when. She told us all about the photographer Roger (Brilliant) and what sort of images we were looking for and the absolutely charming marriage commissioner Carl who officiated at our wedding. We had already arranged the ceremony at the top of the chairlift on Mount Norquay (please consider this for your wedding - stunning), however we went to look at several other locations for photographs after the wedding. On the big day itself Claire, makeup, hair dresser and photographer all arrived as arranged. We were never rushed and at all times felt like we were in great hands. Throughout the whole day we had no other concerns other than enjoying ourselves. One wonderful touch was Claire organising a bespoke vegan menu especially for my partner at the restaurant chosen for our wedding meal. We consider our choice of Elope in Banff to have been the perfect fit for our small, intimate elopement wedding in one of the most amazing places on the planet. Once again...... Muchas Gracias. My fiancé and I knew from the beginning that we wanted a wedding as magical and romantic as our own love story...Sharon and Malcolm of Elope In Banff gave us more than we had even imagined. Sharon's promptness to answer my countless questions via e-mail was impressive, especially since we were almost 2,000 miles away from one another. I was especially in awe by her attention to detail on the wedding day - from making sure my dress was just right for every picture, to having Kleenex and Band-Aids on hand when I needed them, to making sure we had a wedding cake topper (even though we had forgotten to bring one!). My fiancé and I were thrilled to get our sneak-peaks less than 24 hours post-ceremony and were in awe of the beauty Malcolm captured. Malcolm and Sharon made a perfect team, complimenting each other and ensuring every single picture would be worth a thousand words. Malcolm made us feel comfortable and encouraged us to choose how we wanted some of our pictures (Sharon and him surprised us by having us recreate the picture that made us fall in love with Lake Louise - again, another perfect touch!). Our 3 nights at their Banff Log Cabin B&B was more grand than we had expected - Sharon and Malcolm attended to our every need and put thought into the smallest aspects of our stay (our favorite was the personalized card they left for us next to our champagne and cake when we returned from our wedding dinner...a close 2nd was the scrumptious home-baked muffins!). Their knowledge of Banff was extremely helpful - they easily shared places to go and how to get there. We greatly enjoyed using their 2 bicycles to ride around Bow River and Vermillion Lake - everywhere we looked, we were in awe of the beauty and wildlife. My review will be a bit longer than usual because l am talking about my wedding (and not about dessert in a new restaurant). As a bride planning my wedding l wanted to take care of everything myself and plan every step, controlling all the details of my big day. Hiring an elopement professional that l found online was the opposite of it and it was scary for me to let go my desire to l control what l could not see, after all l don't live in Lake Louise. Sharon was a blessing in my wedding preparation. Since day one she was very easy to communicate and she answered all my emails with an extreme patience (even when l was freaking out a bit because l wanted coconut in the filling of my cake... l am that kind of person sometimes...). One day before my wedding day l met Sharon and she was so wonderful. She had all the paperwork done, reviewed all the wedding ceremony, showed me flowers to my bouquet, spent a good time showing Banff and taking photos for me and my future husband. At the ceremony day she arrived earlier with her husband and photographer Malcolm. She brought champagne, chocolates, the bouquet, a gorgeous cake and the best energy possible. She helped me with my dress (that was complicated to wear.... ah, she steamed it too) and she had all details ready for me. She is very perfectionist and l could not have asked for anyone better to have my back. She adjusted my dress and my hair during the photos as many time as it was needed and she wanted be sure that l was having a perfect time without get concerned with anything. Malcolm was a awesome photographer and made me laugh many times. Sharon hired a commissioner that read beautiful poems and made the ceremony unforgettable. The photo session was so beautiful and fun that l saw tourists taking photos of us too. Sharon made a reservation for my wedding dinner in the most beautiful restaurant possible (with a romantic view). Less than 24h later l had 30 edited photos that Malcolm sent me and OMG... they are breath taking. If you are reading this review and are concerned about hiring Elope in Banff - don't be. Sharon will take care of you and make your dream come true. Thanks Sharon and Malcom! It was an absolutely amazing experience. For a bride with very little preferences and not knowing what I really wanted, Sharon has a knack for people and giving them exactly what they want, when they don't even know it. From the planning process, Sharon was responsive and kept us in the loop for everything and was so accommodating in letting us plan via email. Even with our airline cancellations she was flexible, changed the time and managed to keep us calm. She took us to the absolute perfect locations for our pictures and ceremony. Her recommendations on what to do, where to eat, what to try made our whole stay not just the wedding day wonderful. The day of both Malcolm and Sharon were just amazing, they are the perfect team! They were prompt, made us (incredibly shy and awkward people) feel comfortable and it shows in the pictures. She took care of everything from bringing a wrap to hairspray to Listerine to champagne glasses. We didn't manage to get the bouquet in time but she managed to get me one. Did I mention we were very ill prepared and there couldn't have been anyone else who took care of us the way she did. Malcolm on the other hand left no stone unturned in getting the perfect picture, literally from getting his feet wet or getting into the grass or climbing on top of branches to get us the perfect angle. Did I mention the pictured were absolutely amazing?! We normally don't look that good. It was a great experience and we hope to come back to Banff and stay in touch with Sharon and Malcolm! Trust me there is no better couple to get you married, if this was something you did over and over again, I would Elope in Banff every time!!!

The wedding planner went above and beyond for us. they answered almost right away no matter what time it was. we did not know what good restaurants were so they gave amazing suggestions off of the kind of food we liked. they were open to any changes that we requested. day of was beyond what we could have asked for. Absolutely no stress about what was going to happen only butterflies. hair and make up stayed in place in the heat. the photographer was funny and sweet. Sharon had everything ready in case anything went wrong and was there to fix the dress to look the best in pictures. my bustle button broke and she was able to sew that and even came back right before dinner because the strap on my dress broke. She made it look like new in only a couple minutes. She realized I didn't have a cover to keep warm and lent me her mink wrap. After a few phone calls and e- mails we were able to find a date and venue for the Simply Romantic package with twenty guests. I am so so so happy! Sharon and her team were everything and more. I’ll be honest, I didn’t have the highest expectations because of some experiences I’ve had before with destination weddings but this exceeded everything we could ever dream. Sharon and I have been talking for several years and she helped me with all the decisions and was so communicative. She really took her time with us the day before to show us spots to get married and thought of everything on our wedding day including a big fur coat, hand warmers, ear muffs etc. I loved how she would constantly fix our attire to make sure we would get good pictures in… something I didn’t expect at all but loved. The sneak peak pictures also came back to us in just under 2 days and I’m so happy with them. Our photographer Bryan had the best attitude and funny which help me and any anxiety I had. He spent the whole day with us and I honestly loved his energy so much, I felt like we could have had drinks/dinner later that day and we would have loved it. Michael our videographer also helped me with any feelings I might have had and even offered to get our video back faster if we would like. I declined only because it was the holiday season and wanted him to not stress. Rob our officiant had the right amount of humor and the energy he exuded really made it seem as he’s known us forever. The girls that did our bouquet and boutonnière were amazing. They really listened and made us feel super special and had me tearing up with how gorgeous the bouquet was. I would recommend anyone to do this if they love beautiful scenery and the most perfect intimate time. If I could I would do this all over again! My husband and I were talking one evening about our wedding plans and we entertained the idea of eloping in Banff during the wintertime. We always wanted a small/intimate wedding,and found some great micro-wedding packages through Elope in Banff. I first reached out about a package in Canmore, and Sharon recommended a package that was more fitting for us based on the # of guests we wanted & the date we initially picked. We ended up going with the Simply Romantic package and chose the BSH as our venue. Because of the pandemic we had to push our wedding from January to October, but Sharon & her team were so accommodating and made us feel at ease after having to make the difficult decision to postpone. We arrived in Banff two nights before our wedding day and met with Sharon for a tour the day before. She showed us several scenic spots for photos, drove us to our venue & went over what to expect for our ceremony, showed us areas we can explore or partake in outdoor activities in, and even made restaurant suggestions for later that day as I told her I was going to dine out with my two sisters in law. On the day of our wedding, Sharon coordinated everything perfectly and took great care of us. Roger was also excellent & gave us fun prompts for our photos. It has only been 2 weeks since our wedding so we have not received the full gallery yet but I love some of the sneak peeks they uploaded to their Facebook page. Larry and I were very impressed with the convenience and pricing of the Simply Elope package that Sharon and Malcolm offered. We chose a day that happened to be a statutory holiday that landed on a Sunday and without Sharon I do not believe we would have been able to book everything and have everything planned on our own. Sharon took care of everything so we did not need to worry and left us with the responsibility of a few minor things the day prior to our wedding and to showing up to say 'I Do'. I am sure if Sharon could have controlled the weather she would have taken care of that also however it was a fantastic day despite the cold and overcast. Elope In Banff was by far the best decision we could have made regarding our Canadian nuptials. From the start, Sharon was so engaged. She kept in regular contact, and genuinely cared about what we wanted for our special day. She recommended a day of travel, and then a day to meet with her for a couple hours before the wedding day. Meeting with her was one of the favorite parts of our trip. She instantly made us feel welcome and as if we’d known her forever. Not only had she taken care of all the legalities pertaining to our marriage license, but she took us into the registry office and walked us through every step of the process. She also took us into Banff Mountaintop Flowers where we, (mostly Caitlin) got to piece together an assortment of fresh cut flowers for her bouquet and my boutonnière. Sharon then chauffeured us around Banff and gave us a full tour of the city. She highlighted plenty of fantastic hikes, tours, places to shop, and recommended numerous restaurants. She also snapped several pictures of us as well as showing us a few fantastic views. We drove down to the Cascade ponds where she thoroughly went over the plan for the following day, and ran us through a rehearsal ceremony to calm the nerves. The day of the wedding she had two ladies from Salon 1463 arrive at our room to do hair and makeup. It sounded a little awkward, but was the complete opposite! Cass and Sue were so personable. We ended up having a great time with both of them. After they got us looking presentable, Sharon arrived with the rest of her team. We met her lovely husband Malcom, and our videographer, Mike. They not only went out of their way to make us comfortable, but made sure every detail was taken care of, even down to the pearl pin she used for the boutonnière. Sharon came locked and loaded with hairspray, tissues, and all of the other wedding planner necessities. She even utilized a gift bag ribbon in a last minute quick fix to attach a sapphire to Caitlin’s bouquet. The actual ceremony was very intimate on a clearing overlooking Lake Louise. Rob White was our commissioner. We could not have asked for anyone better to officiate our vows. He was so kind and engaged with both of us. After the ceremony we proceeded to the lake front for pictures. Lake Louise was fairly busy at the time and numerous people stopped to take our picture and to congratulate us. Malcom and Mike were both very patient and understanding of all the tourists. Sharon and her team surpassed all of our expectations, as well as handling any and every concern we had about eloping in a foreign country. Hi Sharon We must say a huge thank you for organising our day so well. Please say a million thank yous to Malcolm Claire and Marilyn. Marilyn for being so lovely, she was perfect, Claire for being so calm, attentive, thorough and in all absolutely amazing. Malcolm, well what can I say other than he could not have made us feel more comfortable which was very much needed as neither of us are great in front of a camera, he’s the best! Absolutely amazing! Sharon and Malcolm made sure our day was incredible. There was no minor detail left out and they took care of it all. We did the heliwedding and honestly couldn't have imagined a better day. A sneak peak at photos was released so quickly and they are stunning, I can't wait for the rest!
