Having Valerie as a photographer for our wedding was nothing short of amazing! Her professionalism, personality and experience definitely stood out throughout the day. She worked closely with all our vendors (DJ, hall, limo drivers) to make sure that everything went smoothly. Also, she collaborated with a colleague to make sure that every moment was captured. One point that was particularly great was punctuality; Valerie kept an eye on the time to make sure that we got to the reception at a reasonable time. Despite a tight schedule, the family, bridal party and couple pictures taken between the ceremony and reception turned out fantastic. With regards to the pictures themselves, Valerie delivered high quality and perfectly edited pictures within less than a month (that is a few days EARLIER than promised) We could not have asked for a better experience and we highly recommend Valerie's work.

Pretty much from the minute we first spoke on the phone we knew we wanted Val as our photographer. She is incredibly warm and accommodating. It’s almost impossible to not feel comfortable when working with Val. Val included a free engagement photo shoot which was a blast. She was able to figure out exactly how to shoot us, taught us how to pose for photos, and picked an absolutely beautiful and unique location (we are not from Montreal). During the wedding she was such an asset. She brings an assistant so you have two sets of eyes, and photographers who can shoot you separately before you see your spouse for the first time. She is incredibly supportive and helps you get through any frustrations you have during the day. She’s basically an emotional support photographer in the best way. She also made us feel super confident and we think it came through in the photos. We honestly never thought we were that photogenic before seeing her photos - we were simply blown away by not only how she made us look, but also how she captured our personalities and our relationship. All of our friends kept talking about how beautiful the photos were and how you could see how much we loved each other from them. Multiple different people said to us “I’ve seen a lot of wedding photos, and these are the best I’ve ever seen.” We simply could not have been happier to have Val (and Steven!) as our photographer. If you go with her, you’ll hands down have pictures that you, your family, and your friends will love forever.

Val knew exactly how to set up for our "surprise shoot" for my fiance and I. She has amazing ideas (you can see her mind working as the shoot is taking place) and seamlessly guides you through them. We enjoyed so much the engagement photoshoot as well as having Valerie shoot our wedding. She was able to blend our laid-back west coast style with our personalized requests. She makes every photo look elegant and polished, even when we had requested the candid laughter. Her photographers eye cant be beat. She has gentle reminder emails and suggestions on timing for the wedding day that we incorporated and which served us well. We truly can’t say enough about Valerie as a person and as a professional! She travelled all the way to the South of France to shoot our wedding, while 6 months pregnant no less, and she was one of the most valuable members of the whole weekend. Leading up to the wedding, Valerie was able to provide a lot of wonderful advice in terms of how we would structure our day. We had given Valerie a heads up that there were some family tensions, and not only was she accommodating throughout but also a huge source of comfort and support. My wife and I are not the most comfortable in front of the camera and we were nervous about how things would go and how the photos would look, but Valerie was incredibly constructive, managing to put us at ease for our solo portraits. Our photo session after the ceremony, which only involved us with our videographer and Valerie, ended up being one of our favourite parts of the whole wedding. Lucky enough to be getting married in a 13th century castle, we were able to experience a meaningful, intimate, funny, and creative session that will always stay with us. Our photos were received well within the expected timeframe, and I cannot express how gorgeous they all are! Never have my wife and I looked so amazing, and most importantly, the photos perfectly captured the emotion and feel of our entire weekend. The photos are aesthetically beautiful and so full of soul all at the same time. My wife and I cannot recommend Valerie enough for her skill as a photographer, her work ethic (she would get down on the ground, pregnant belly and all, to get the perfect shot!), and warm, positive attitude!
