I have now seen Joe for two sets of grad photos. Once back in 2016 and again this year. Joe is so kind, talented, and makes you feel so comfortable. I will 100% be going back to him for the next time I need photos done. Plus, he told me today that he has all of the grad hoods for basically every university in NS so you don't have to rent a stinky, gross one from your university. I cannot recommend him enough.

Joe was very pleasant and professional, and did an excellent job during the session. He had very nice backgrounds at his studio to set the tone for the shots, and managed the shoot well, guiding us through different poses and compositions. Joe was extremely responsive and flexible during the editing phase, making a few last changes after we had settled up for no extra charge. The final products were very high quality and well done, with vibrant colours that brought the photos to life. My family and I will cherish these photos for many years to come. Joe has done a fantastic job photographing our family over ten years. He takes fabulous group family portraits, particularly in outdoor settings. Each session we have had has also included casual photos that he takes in unguarded moments. These have often ended up being the strongest images from the session (e.g. grandma cuddling an unhappy baby, my son running around the Public Gardens, three grown brothers joking amongst themselves, great grandma and mom making the baby smile, etc.). He is able to get people who are uncomfortable in front of the camera to relax and has taken some striking photos of the seniors in our family, and great action photos of children. He works quickly and makes the session enjoyable for everyone.

When I first arrived at the location I wasn’t expecting much of a studio because it was in the basement of his house. But to my surprise it was a really nice and professional looking one, everything looked clean and well organized and he had client pictures up all over the place which was a nice touch. When he started to photograph me he was very nice and worked with me well telling me about the angles and lighting that looked the best! At the end he let me chose my favourite photo and showed me what touch ups should be done to make sure there were no surprises when I saw it. We gifted my parents with a professional family photo shoot to honor their 50th wedding anniversary. This was a first for us and we were likely a bit nervous about the process. Some were concerned about not "taking good pictures" or being photogenic.
