Both Yugo and Michelle are very professional and I enjoyed very much for them to take my headshots. Yugo has the best equipment and Michelle is so attentive to details...for eg, she will periodically blot the shine on my face, touch up my hair and jacket. Yugo on the other hand gave very clear and specific instructions as how much to face the camera and best angle to shoot. I am very satifsfied with the results and it did not cost me an arm and a leg. I will absolutely send my friends and families who are in the market for headshots. Thank you very much Yugo and Michelle. Good luck and let me know if you move to a bigger location. There are a lot of glowing reviews. I've been here twice and my first experience was pretty good, so I get it. I just went a second time, and I have to say, my opinion of this business has changed dramatically. The following experience has ZERO omission, embellishment, or misrepresentation and I've attached the email conversation too. I reached out to the studio address on Oct 7th to ask their availability. On Oct 8th, they wrote back with some times. They suggested Oct 12th at 1pm. I wanted the "minimal package" - 20 minutes of time plus same day photo editing, which seemed like pretty good value at $145 + tax. On the 10th, they sent an email confirming me for 1pm on the 12th. So far so good. I showed up at exactly 12:59 on the 12th, dialed their suite number, and said "hey, it's Michael for my 1pm" into the intercom. I was told "ooooh, sorry, I have you booked later in the day... can you come back at 4pm?" Of course I couldn't come back three hours later. The time had been suggested to me by them and confirmed by them by email two days earlier. I'd travelled all the way over there already and I had other things to do with my day. I said "no I can't come back at 4pm, but you know what that's ok" and took my business elsewhere. I have no idea why I said that was ok. It wasn't ok. It was unbelievably unprofessional. I won't be back. There are a million photo studios in downtown Toronto, and many of them are excellent and will actually honor their confirmed appointments. You might want to go to one of them instead.

I stumbled upon this studio looking for a place for my daughter to have her professional photos taken. She is planning on applying to get into acting/modelling and I wanted to plan a nice surprise for her birthday. Yugo and Michelle were gentle and accommodating. This was a great experience. Yugo and Michelle made me feel comfortable, which is hard to do when taking photos. Their setup was great, even the untouched photos looked beautiful. They give you many chances to look at your photos to make sure you like your posea. Michelle does a great job of getting you to smile naturally with bubbles, pompoms and cheering. If you can't seem to take a good pic of yourself, go to Michelle and Yugo. They'll make you feel like a natural.

I highly recommend “King Street Photo Studio” . The young couple are Michelle and Yugo. I was very impressed with their professional abilities and equipment. Yugo is Japanese and very talented. Michelle is an excellent stylist. I needed four headshots (two for business and two casual). I brought with me a selection of shirts, neckties and sportscoat. I liked Michelle’s recommendations regarding which look was best for the business headshots and the casual photos. I was so impressed that I am planning to go back for a family photo session with my son and daughter and their spouses and my two grandchildren.
