Public Notice: So I applied for a full time photo editing gig, and got this response. Note they couldn't even put my name in their obvious copy paste notice. I'm not usually one to publicly shame a business and theirpractices, but I deplore people trying to trick people to "Intern For Free" which is illegal. so I'm hoping this will save anybody the time from bothering to apply to scam artists like this trying to trick hard working people into giving them free work, only to turn them around after the initial two weeks and repeat process while they profit. -------------- Hello {CANDIDATE_NAME}, Thank you for applying to Banga Studios We wanted to advise you, that the 4-month Photo Editor internship requires unpaid training for the first 2 weeks. Approximately 30 - 40 hours a week would be needed to dedicate to our position. Please note, in the future, this will become a paid role, but the compensation will be either based on an hourly wage which is dependant on skill level. If you are still interested, and can genuinely commit to at least 30-40 hours a week to being our photo editor - we will be happy to consider your candidacy once you've completed our editing assignment below (20 Nikon raw files to be edited and submitted within 48 hours) Once we've had a chance to review your submission we will set up an interview to discuss the assignment and your role within the studio. Choosing our wedding photographer was extremely important to my husband and me. We definitely searched around, but in the end, we connected with the individuals at Banga Studios the most. We had the opportunity to work with almost all the photographers - and honestly, they were the best decision ever! All the photographers are super easy going and SO much fun to work with. They made our wedding week so much more enjoyable and they helped take a load of stress of as well. It was the little things that really made my day, from carrying my long trail around a park to make it easier for me to walk around to helping me quickly get my shoes off right before a dance off against my hubby. They felt like family throughout it all and I would choose Banga studios again and again!

Hired on May 2017: Initially applied as a photo editor intern - currently working at the time of this review as a photo editor for the studio. I have had nothing short of a great experience working with the studio, which is comprised of a great set of team members each bringing a diverse and essential skill set to the table. In my time with Banga, I have come to feel more comfortable calling my peers my friends as opposed to co-workers. I initially applied as an intern for the summer, and it was made aware to me that there was a 2-week unpaid training period, after which the role becomes a paid one. I advise those that come across reviews stating that this is some sort of trick or a means of us trying to get workers for free to take those reviews with a grain of salt. This period is mainly used to ensure that our editors receive ample training, are able to utilize Lightroom and Photoshop efficiently, meet our editing standards and effectively employ our style. Over these 2 weeks, I was able to develop my editing prowess and build upon the skillset I already had prior to working for Banga. I was also able to get an early sense of the collaborative and supportive environment that the Banga team fosters. If you have any interest at all in photo editing and wish to apply your abilities in a professional environment with a studio and team like no other, I would definitely recommend applying.

My best friend surprised me with a photographer from Banga Studios for my baby shower! Her name is Simrin Dhillon. I was so excited to have a professional photographer there to capture every moment of the event. Simrin was beyond professional and blended in with my guests and event so naturally. She was not intrusive and did a great job capturing every detail. I recently got to see the photo gallery and I was left speechless and in awe! The details, and story that the photos told as I looked thriugh them made me feel like I was right back to my special day. Simrin did an amazing job to say the least. I honestly don't know where to begin with Banga Studios. Their work speaks for itself but the experience in itself is a whole different thing. Our photoshoot did not feel like a photoshoot. Our Photoshoot felt like we were hanging out with our buddies and they just took pictures along the way. We did not know we could be so comfortable in front of a camera (we're such an awkward couple) so easily. After the photoshoot, we were left with nothing but great memories. When we got our pictures we were literally screaming of excitement. The pictures were magical (that's the only word I could use to describe). The way that Banga Studio operates as a business in itself is also very impressive. They have a different staff dealing with different things such as: communications, editing, visionary etc. It's very refreshing to deal with an entire team as opposed to 1 individual who does everything. This team is QUALITY over quantity. Any questions I had were answered in a timely manner. Banga has made my entire wedding process seamless and fun! I cannot wait to find another excuse to book Banga again! The funnest, competent, creative team I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
