I went there as an mua, teamed up with a photographer for a photoshoot. At first I was confused when I arrived because the outside is just a normal looking house, when I went it surprised me (not that it should've, I could've google searched it lol) on how nice the studio was, it had a lot of professional photography gear, Great for achieving different shots (sad that I couldn't do the colored flash like I Was hoping for though)~ A guy that works there named Taeho gave me a tour of the house, other than the studio ofc, and gave a lot of good advice to me as a freelancing Mua just starting to build my portfolio. He also helped direct the lighting and coordinated it to the shots. I'm super excited and anticipating on how they came out, and I'm sure they'll look awesome! The only thing I'd add, would be more chairs~ since I was working on more than one model. Hope to come here again ????

Jenna being a minor, they were extremely respectful, conscientious & totally amazing to work with. Our day 2 trip out to Moraine Lake was so much fun! Recently I had the opportunity to experience an event through Kallos studio x Profoto where a group of photographers were guided by a very experienced and well known photographer Miguel Jacobs. On this Photo walk we used high end Profoto lighting equipment to create and have fun with on location. It was an amazing experience and definitely one that has increased my photography game. Following the event I had lots of questions in regards to lighting and photography and they were so quick to respond and were so very helpful in meeting my photography requirements. I've been using Kallos Studio photo album collection for all my clients and my own personal use too. As a commercial photographer, I only use Profoto. I didn't know Kallos Studio deals Profoto but lo and behold rumors are true and found PROFOTO HEAVEN today. It was actually so much better than I heard and expected. Bravo! Better collection than I seen in some Vancouver shops.

Since TCS no longer deals with Profoto and I will go to hell and back before I ever shop at Vistek. I tried Kallos Studio. This is what I have to say; I love supporting the locals because of the businesses like this one! Kallos Studio, service is simply above and beyond what you would ever expect to get from any camera stores. Taeho is amazing and knowledgeable. He doesn't make you feel stupid or like he is above you, because he is a "pro" and shoots with a Phase One camera like certain pompous sales person at Vistek - by the way, don't shop at Vistek, ever. And to Noel... umm you are just a sales person who got employee discounts so you could afford a Phase One and feel like a photographer. FYI, I hate Vistek because of the rude sales people like him. Anyway, this is a review of Kallos Studio, not my rant about Vistek. I loved dealing with Taeho so much! And initially I was on the fence about the upgrades my Profoto, but after talking to Taeho, I was convinced and had no doubt about going with the upgrades. Not only because I trust Profoto, but because I trust Taeho and his knowledge and the service excellence. Great choice Profoto. I can see why people talk about Taeho and Kallos Studio the way they do. Try, and you will know too why Profoto and Kallos Studio should be your number one choice.

If you want top-notch photography for anything, whether that be a wedding day, or for business, I would definitely recommend Kallos Studio. Styles has the best knowledge in the business and really knows what he's doing, so you don't have to constantly worry about the service/end product. If you know anything about equipment, you'd also know that he invests a lot in what he uses as he believes in providing the best for his clients. He did photos for my friend's wedding day and the pictures turned out beautiful, but also him and his entire team were very professional yet super engaged to make sure the results would be outstanding. Taeho and Fred from Kallos Studio were our photographers for wedding. My husband and I were absolutely floored by the final pictures and album. We love how they captured the bright and vivid colours from our wedding and the quality of the photo albums. Taeho initially met with us for a comprehensive consultation to figure out our venues, what we wanted and expected from him, and took the time to chat with us to get to know us better so that our natural personalities would shine through in our photos. Closer to the wedding day, Taeho met with us to take test shots, chatted more with us about our wedding venues and made plans to check out the venues to plan out all the possible wedding shots for the staged photo session during the day of. Taeho is ridiculously organized and absolutely meticulous in his attention to detail! To ensure all our special moments were captured, he also asked for an approximate schedule for the day of the wedding so that he and Fred would be able to set up all the lighting in advance and capture the shots we wanted with the best lighting possible. On the day of the wedding, Taeho and Fred did a fabulous job of capturing all of the moments of our wedding that we wanted to cherish in such a beautiful and artistic manner. As we had met countless times with them by that point and got to know each other more, it was so easy working with Taeho and Fred on the wedding day. We had complete trust in them that they would deliver exactly what we wanted. With our schedule in hand, they were completely independent and did not in any way add to the busy chaos and stress of the big day, which was a huge relief! Following the wedding, we met again to pick out the pictures for our photo albums and to order prints. Both were nothing but professional, friendly, and accommodating each and every time we worked with them. Since our wedding, we have recommended Kallos Studios to everyone planning a wedding!

It is deceiving that it looks like a normal house from the street but you walk in and it is pretty cool in there. Has a giant cove and light box. Completely seamless! Learned a few new things and got some cool shots. Probably has the most Profoto stuff I have ever seen in my life. Great selection of modifiers for rentals.

Calgary's brand new dealer of Profoto. New Profoto lighting equipment, modifier and accessories for sale and rental too. The 10-foot ceiling studio has nice horizon and lights and that is for rental too. Really glad to have a studio that has lighting equipment sales & rental service near my place and they have Profoto! The D2 & Pro 10 road show with pro photographer Miguel on Nov 3rd 2016 was good chance to experience Profoto's new product.
