We first met Carla at a wedding we were both in years ago. I loved how friendly she was. When we met her she was still building her business, and her passion for it was so apparent! We knew we needed her for our wedding. Over the course of the couple years we were planning it, it went from a large hall wedding with all of our family and friends, to an intimate ceremony with just our closest loved ones. When we met with her just weeks before the big day, we still didn't have a location locked down. Carla very quickly offered us her backyard! We were shocked, but also so excited to be able to have a quiet, beautiful spot to say "I do". Carla was so accommodating with our families, and made the small event so, so special! Our engagement session happened to fall on a chilly minus thirty-degree day but that did not stop Carla one bit, she was out there laying in the snow laughing and having fun and I didn’t see the smile leave her face once. She quickly understood how important our four-legged fur babies and not only incorporated them into the picture but also helped catch their attention with different noises to allow for the perfect shot, then happily climbed into the corrals to shoot photos with my horse. Right from the get go in our planning of a high school graduation in the middle of Covid-19, she was receptive to our wishes and totally flexible in helping to ensure that the grads and their families were happy. We recently used Carla Lehman for our newborn session. The result was magnificent! We couldn't be happier with be the session and the final product. She came to our house with many props, blankets, and wraps to choose from. She was also more than happy to use our props (husbands baseball glove). Not only is Carla wonderful with newborns, but she made us feel relaxed and comfortable. The session lasted 2.5 hours and we got all the pictures we wanted. I highly recommend reading her newborn client guide as it will prepare you for a session. The pictures are a great memory as children grow so fast! I would book Carla again for sure!!!! My fiancé and I met with Carla after our large wedding was cancelled. She responded to my email within an hour on a Sunday night, and planned to meet me 2 days later. She went above and beyond to make sure our day would be exactly what we wanted. 3 weeks later, we drove to her gorgeous yard to elope. She generously offered her house for us to get ready, and then allowed us to get married in her backyard. It was the perfect setting for an intimate gathering. She did it all. It was so stress free that we could actually focus on the important moments of our day together. Carla insisted that we bring our dog out with us and was able to get some amazing family shots. I especially loved how Carla made us feel so comfortable while being photographed. At one point she was laying down in the wet grass to capture the perfect shot, all the while cheering us on and making us feel incredible. We love our engagement photos, Carla did a fantastic job! She made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera and made our photos look so natural and genuine.
