Not a good drs office they are not friendly at all... they don't answer phones only when they feel like they should. They wait 2 weeks to fax a pharmacy to get your pills. Last time I was there I got there at 10am, they told me there was 5 people ahead of me and that they would call me when it was my turn, I didn't get my call til 630pm. Now I have a new family dr n hes great couldn't ask for a better dr.

This place is centrally located in a small strip on Central street, Both myself and my wife moved from Ontario and could not find a doctor to fill our prescriptions, we arrived early in the morning about 10:00 am to register and returned later in the day about 3:00 pm. Wait times are long, PEI health services will be rated 2/10 compared to Ontario and will be given a massive failure, some third world countries are far more effective. My analysis of this doctor are- Pros:Took the time to ask lots of questions, gave answers intelligently, Give advise about my meds and didn’t rush us, caring. Recommended blood analysis. This doctor is very busy as the town only has a few doctors, he saw us and was warmly welcomed, he interviewed us and found him very accommodating in his approach. Updated, went to his office today and had to wait approx 7 hrs and were unable to see him, appointment booked for 11:00 am tomorrow, I believe he is a busy,busy doctor and the wait times are long, I updated my review.

I agree that the receptionist and the staff are not great and they really need to up their game when it comes to their attitudes and dealing with the patients and the public. They don't bother to answer the phone, do call backs or phone in prescriptions, they do so as they see fit. However, this is not a reflection on Dr Naqvi. Dr Naqvi is one of the best doctors on the island. People complain because he is always behind and usually not to the clinic on time. He splits his time between the hospital and the clinic so has no time for himself. My experience with him is that he is a very dedicated and highly knowledgeable Doctor and I highly recommend him. Updated Jan 8, 2022 I've lived on PEI for 11 years and still do not have a family doctor. There has always been a severe shortage of doctors here but with covid its worse now then ever. Dr Naqvi is an Excellent and Highly Competent Doctor who he knows his stuff well. He does tend to run behind but his splits his time between the Walk-In and the Hospital so he's run pretty ragged and people have to learn to appreciate that fact. You are not the only patient he has to see and its not all about you, as hard as that is to understand. You are one of so many people he sees every day. So, a little patience and understanding goes a long way.

You do not get to call yourself a walk in clinic when you hand pick who you are going to see. These clinics are intended for people who cannot get in to see their family doctor and yet you refuse to accept patients who aren't your own??? Wildly unacceptable considering how hard it is to see a doctor these days.

My partner can literally not get through to see his family Dr for days now. Everytime we call it goes through to an automated message then nothing. It's a bit outrageous honestly.

It's a typical doctors office. Wait times happen. The island doesn't have many walk in clinics that are open so frequently so of course this one is going to be packed with people needing care, wait times do not reflect a doctor's competency in medicine, it just relects the care he takes to listen to each person he sees.

We all know about doctors' shortage in PEI and how difficult it is to find one. I was so fortunate to see Dr. Naqvi in a walk in clinic. Please allow me to justify this rating: Receptionist in the early morning was competent, caring and polite. She explained how the walk in process worked. We registered and returned at 3:00 pm as directed. The clinic was busy and I did not mind the wait as only one doctor caring for so may people and taking his time with them meant he was not rushing people out. He was very professional, kind, friendly and patient. He did not make me feel the need to rush my visit because he was busy. It would be great if patients understand that this is one doctor who has to deal with constant influx of patients, and give them the support they need, will obviously result in a possible long wait. Highly recommended.

This is crazy can dr naqavi go one day without falling behind.... I think he should take something else up other then a doctor. Every appointment hes 5 hours behind.... get out of it if you cant handle it. This is nuts...

Tried 3 days in a row to get an appointment. Waited in line well before it opened. 2 or 3 people ahead of me. Told me to go home and they would call me when it was my turn. 3 days in a row the same thing, 3 days in a row - no call. Receptionists were very unhelpful. No one answers when you call, no one returns messages.

waiting time is like 8 hours horrible service. Receptionist doesn’t provide proper information. I wouldn’t suggest anyone visiting the clinic

If you have nothing else to do that day and not in a big hurry you may or may not be seen eventually,Also not easy to make contact over the phone.Not a pleasant experience.
