New to the area, and sadly I find the staff dismissive, you have unsmiling grumpy looking cashiers, that don't even look at you, unhelpful and un-knowledgeable in cosmetics. Staff in the prescription window looked at me when i arrived and continued talking personal stuff with coworkers, as if i wasnt even there, not even a nod to say well be right with you. There have been a couple of staff that were pleasant or helpful, but overall, this pharmacy is just not a nice experience like the one i was used to on Verdun Avenue.

We bought milk (the one that comes in three bags) 4 days ago and when we opened the second bag 4 days later, it curdled. The third bag was also opened to see if it was just one bag but it curdled as well. The best before date is still 4 days away. Went to the store today with the original receipt to inform them. After speaking to two clueless salespeople, one of them went to speak the manager in the back. She comes back and says they can't do anything because it had been so long (4 days, really?) since the milk was purchased that they don't know if it's actually a faulty batch. It was implied that we were at fault for the milk curdling and not them selling poor products. She added that we could buy another bag and if it happens again, we can come back (only to have the same conversation again?). Will not be going back to buy anything from them anymore despite shopping there for over 10 years. They might not know if anything of theirs is faulty but will gladly take your money anyway and imply that it was somehow your fault.

I know the owners of this place, we met way back when it was not 24/7. He is a an amazing person! He makes sure to answer all your questions and most important is, he listens what your needs are. Mahmoud, keep up the good work. It is not expensive at all, make sure you have the Optimum card, with only one purchase you can accumulate 10$. Make sure you follow the weekly coupons and weekly flyer. That's how you will be saving way more than Walmart or anyplace else. Sometimes there are really good deals.

Pharmaprix is, generally, going to be more expensive than say a dep or shopping for your stuff at Walmart BUT the fact that this place is open 24/7 is amazing. Parents needing last minute meds for their kids, teens or adults needing last minute snacks, or even older clientele who just want to walk around and do some quiet shopping are all the types of people I can see walking in at all hours of the night. Quick tip: if the main cash has a lineup, go to the makeup counter to pay. They're usually free and willing to pass your transaction ( within a reasonable amount of items).

Today I called pharmaprix newman for a refill as I know it can be quite a wait when they are backed up with orders. Was told. Be a pharmacy rep that itd take roughly 30 minutes to prep, so I confirmed that I would be there and I was assured it would be ready. When I arrived 35 minutes later, I had wlto wait to see someone only for them to tell me they never processed the request and I was that I'd have to wait another 30 minutes! Transferring my prescription to another location, that is terrible service and a huge waste of time for me. Was calling with a question regarding prescriptions during working hours, waited on the line with their music ring tone. When they finally picked up, they hung up right away. I called again, someone picks up and hangs up again. On the third time, they pick up and I ask to speak with a pharmacist and they put me on hold for a few seconds and finally hang up again. Luckily my question was not urgent, but what if it was? This pharmacy does not appear to care if we had questions. I am going elsewhere. Just went to get my fathers medication. Even with me standing near the counter and me being by myself the people are the medicine counter did not serve me. Saw a few look at me and talking to each other then look back at me but that was about it. My father had to call and tell them that his daughter was there to get medication why aren’t you serving her ? They had the nerve to say that they could not see me.
