Doctor's are very nice, easy to talk too and they are genuinely concerned with why you came in that day. Was greeted with a pleasant "Good Morning" from the receptionist and felt comfortable while I was waiting.

Two stars only because the wait was short and the receptionist okay. But seriously, the Doctor didn’t seem to care at all if it wasn’t an extreme case and did not give me any information on what could be going on and no initiative on how to resolve the problems cause. I had to ask for him to tell me more but in the end Google was more helpful..

I called to book an appointment on a Friday and was able to get in Saturday morning for my class 1 medical. Just moving from Alberta it was fantastic to get fast professional service from this clinic. Dr. Dan also renewed my prescriptions and booked testing for me ! This team has restored my faith in walk in clinics !

I have been to this clinic a number of times and found the people at reception and 4 different doctors that I've seen to be kind and helpful. It's too bad that we don't have enough family doctors for everyone in the area and yes you can wait a long time. All that said they do their best to provide good care.

If I could give a 0/5 I would, I've had the worst experience here in my live. I've been waiting weeks to get my results back with no phone call, not answering the phone when I call and closed at 2pm when it says they are open until 6pm. The staff was incredibly rude and not helpfull at all, they told me I should be honored that I even got to see a doctor and was not sorry about what I've been going though, just wanted me to shut up and leave. If anyone was thinking about going here I wouldn't recommend going there to get terrible service and rude staff and doctors.

The caucasian receptionist (don't know her name) at the Apple plaza walk-in clinic is one of the rudest persons I've ever encountered. She is abrupt, rude and impatient on the phone. My friend and I went to the clinic to collect documents, we had to call when we got there so she could assist us, she was rude on the phone and when my friend told her I was also there to be assisted she asked my friend why is she the one telling her that, if I don't have a phone. I decided to give her the feedback in person about her rudeness she was aggressive and escalated the situation with her horrible attitude then slammed the door in my face. I will be sending an email to their director about her.

They had a sign on the door saying they were closing, but since the door was unlocked I popped my head in and they squeezed me in to see the doctor. Wonderful receptionist and Dr. Mackintosh was great; he really listened to me.

I was fortunate to experience a short wait (15 minutes) on a Saturday morning. I expected a quick visit resulting in a prescription for antibiotic eye drops. Instead, I received a thorough, unhurried and very profession eye check up. The doctor even took the initiative to take a viral swab. I would gladly adopt the Dr as my family doctor. Overall, a far better experience than I would expect from a walk in clinic. Professional all the way.

I had uncomfortable throat swelling for years which my GP had said was due to my getting older, I went to apple walk in for a second opinion and right away they scheduled me for tests and ultrasounds which led me to a surgery to remove my thyroid. I I dont know where i'd be if it wasn't for their compassionate care!

Went to this clinic with severe fever, burning in my chest and nausea 6 times in 2 years. Was wrongly diagnosed with heartburn. I was prescribed 2 types of pills that I took for 2 years. After ending up in the emergency room with huge gallstones blocking the bile ducts, I had to get my gallbladder removed. The doctors at this clinic don't listen to you, all they do is prescribe meds. If they had checked my symptoms more indepthly, perhaps I'd still have my gallbladder

Cindy, the receptionist is very rude. I dont have a family doctor and keep getting shoved around the system and needed help finding my referrals. She kept cutting me off and was very short. Sounded as if I was a hindrance to her for asking about my health. If your job is causing you so much grief that you take it out on sick people, then you need to get a different job. Praying for you

The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because I have been here before Pre-Covid and know the doctors at this clinic are the best. Post Covid - The signage on the door is unclear it says to call the number for a "phone appointment" not that you MUST have a phone appointment. I assumed since we were there at opening we could talk to them when the receptionist came to the door. After a half an hour of no one going in or out, she popped out the door and when I asked she pointed to the sign and told me to call. Okay, I misunderstood the sign and went to my car to phone. After about 10 minutes of busy signals she answered the phone and told me to "hold please" then accidentally (I assume) hung up on me. So another 5 minutes of busy signals and she asks me to hold again, when I told she'd hung up on me, she said she'd just put the phone down and thus wouldn't. Another 5 minutes later and she picks up the phone for our information, and tells us we'd get a call back "within the hour." An hour and a half later I called back and she rudely told me to "have a little patience." Half a hour more and we decided to leave and take care of it elsewhere. In all of this time we saw 1 person go in and that same person come back out. Another half an hour and the doctor finally called us. I told him we had left and weren't coming back. This needs to be better streamlined and the receptionist needs to learn better phone manners. A little explanation can go a long way.

The people who answer the phone are always very rude and are rude when you get there too. If you don't have your card ready they are very disapproving and may put you on hold. Very childish behavior to have towards people who come seeking help.

Dr. Francis was amazing, he treated my daughter , he was thorough and he made her laugh and made the whole thing simple. Highly recommended by my family .

Tough to accurately rate because this clinic does some things very well and others very poorly. The phone in appointment worked well for me and they got me in within a day. The doctor was very friendly and caring. The office is poorly managed and has a very odd "cash only, cash upfront" policy.

This is only a feedback towards the receptionists that are working there.. very rude and unfriendly approach when answering the call and always making error because they don't clarify and always cutting you off when speaking. The Physicians however are kind and professional

I would rather give 0 out of 5 stars just for the doctor I saw. Dr ingrim cast off any symptoms I told him that I was worried about and started lecturing me on what to eat. I'm a little overweight, however, a doctor shouldn't listen to you and tell you he doesn't believe you just because of your size. Never go here if he's the doctor.

I cant remember the doctor that saw my boyfriend but he was amazing. He was thorough. He even checked out my daughter who was nearly recovered from impetigo. It was a bit of a wait but the other clinic was done taking patients so everyone started piling into this clinic. He didnt rush like most do. And he even gave us information that 4 specialists from the Fraser valley have never even mentioned. 5* all the way!

The oriental receptionist was extremely rude and unfriendly to me while I needed care for my infant. Very poor customer service, I understand that people have bad days at work but you could tell she hated her job more than anything. I will not be going back there

Called in today because I'm extremely sick, didn't have my care card number. But mentioned I've been able to get checked up on without my care card because I'm in there system. A lady answers the phone and is incredibly disrespectful saying its a 40$ charge without my care card and saying she doesn't have time to deal with me... Isn't a walk in clinic supposed to help cure people's sicknesses and such? Lost so much respect for this company

I called to get help for anxiety and after 5 attempts of speaking to the same woman i am seriously considering not getting help atallll. She is acting as a gatekeeper and being super snooty and rude. She refuses to help me because i have an alberta health number. When I told her she cant legally refuse to treat me she got mad and said the call dropped. I called back and she told me she didnt know if they could help me because she keapt hanging up on me. THIS WOMAN SHOULD NOT BE ALOULD NEAR THE HEALTH PROFESSION!!!!!

My wife and I moved back to Penticton in the spring of 2020. My wife called the clinic and spoke to a lady with an Asian accent. The clinic receptionist tried to charge my wife cash for a visit. We called another clinic and no charge. The other clinic was shocked to hear that someone tried to get cash from my wife for a regular consultation.

I just have to say something here. I've been bothered since, and appreciate those who urged me to express myself here. I have haunting concerns about this clinic. I observed the most disturbing, gross, abusive behavior of one of the Dr's there. His name is very long, a full mouth full. Said to be from South Africa. Its been reported along with a recording. Since this is a member of the public in a very privileged place of trust. I was just horrified at hearing how this Dr spoke to his patient. Even attacking her as a person and really crossing the line! Growling through the telephone. Professionally, Dr's are suposed to be impartial, not forcing their ideas and opinions on their patients opposite real medical advices determined by the more educated Dr's. Critisizing and antagonizing a patient who was suffering and not liking his patients views of a matter and even threatening her. How disgusting and unprofessional. I was in complete shock! Only reason I havnt yet released the recording to the media to hear in detail at the moment, is because of an investigation involving many others who also experienced the same conduct of him and one other at this same clinic. Its a person's right to question the decisions a doctor makes if not to understand, then to have a say! There is no wrong in that. To cross the line professionally, and personally start verbally attacking a patient he knows nothing about, even slandering her person to assumptions, and accusations he knew nothing about, all because she was questioning his behavior and tone at her and that he only ever briefly treated this patient once pror according to all the records pulled. What he doesn't realize is who he did this too. A well known internationally proclaimed highly regarded person, One who is a huge part of Canada's as a legacy in her work, for woman and children. Not just by our society, but in even deeper meaning yet to the national Canadian native society as well. Spent year's working in intensive care units throughout and helped thousands who suffered historical abuses.He has no right nor is it appropriate for him to treat anyone like he did her. She did nothing to deserve that. He not only crossed the line in his position of trust, its my opinion further all without prejudice that this conduct is not only harmful, but dangerous should it continue so freely as was observed and experienced in the same by so many others.

I arrived in Penticton from Calgary a couple of weeks ago. I ran into some medical difficulty and saw Dr. Dutchman. He was incredibly kind and understanding. The receptionist was very pleasant as well and I didn't wait long.

I've been here many times as it is the closest walk-in in my area, and rarely have I been treated kindly or appropriately. It's obvious the staff is extremely busy and shorthanded, and they seem to have lost time for basic compassion.

Doctor was great, called me back in 1 hour, and promised to get the referral to the Assessment centre right away, as they closed in 3 hours, and I was on my last scheduled day in town. 2 hours later, I called back, as I hadn't heard from the Assessment centre. The receptionist stated she had just faxed the referral. Then said she would send it again, just in case. Fortunately, the Assessment Centre has great people and could fit me in first thing the next day. While finalizing my appointment, the fax finally came in. NOT impressed.

Horrible rude receptionist. Never have I been treated so rudely. Hung up on multiple times when I was told I was being put on hold. Thought maybe it was just bad cell service. So went down there. Nope turns out the receptionist is just a miserable person who doesn’t know how to do her job. Refused to even speak to me except to tell me she was calling the police if I didn’t leave. i would give negative stars if i could. this incident happened over 2 years ago but it has stuck with me so much that i still feel the need to write this. if you are a young woman dealing with a personal health issue, DO NOT GO HERE. i came into the clinic because out of the blue i was dealing with some of the most excruciating pain i had ever felt, there was something terribly wrong with a reproductive organ. To say it was excruciating to sit or walk is an understatement. by the time i got myself to the clinic and through the door to reception i was sobbing, and my pain tolerance is high. the receptionist was cold and rude and made a sarcastic comment at me when i asked how long the wait time might be. after waiting forever, unable to even sit in the waiting chair, they finally let me into the doctor's office where i had to wait another half hour. when the doctor finally came in he was incredibly cold as well, given the distress i was in, he couldn't even bother to introduce himself or show any kindness at all. he sat down and asked what i needed, when i told him my symptoms he didn't even bother to take a look, the man just told me to take a tylenol and use some yeast infection cream! he then asked how many sexual partners i had and ordered for me to get an STD test (there is not one single STD that yields the same symptoms as what i had), before just walking out of the door without saying anything. THEN, the receptionist made me walk to my car, drive to an ATM, drive all the way back and walk back inside just so they could get $15 cash for a lousy doctor's note that only excused one day off of work. That evening, I ended up having to go to the emergency room and having surgery, which took over a month to recover from. because my condition wasn't properly diagnosed when i went in, i nearly had to get an organ removed. this man took one look at me and decided based off my appearance that i was just a woman who sleeps around and was suffering consequences. men who undermine women's pain and suffering are quite frankly dangerous, and certainly have NO place working in the medical field. Dr. Vanderwesthuizen you should be ashamed of yourself, and i certainly hope that if any women in your life have to suffer the way i did, that they are met with far more compassion and proper help than what you gave to me.

My 75 year old father went there on Saturday with "severe chest pains". He was met at the door by the receptionist who wasn't wearing a mask (Dad was) and was shooed away from the door. He told her that he was having severe chest pains, the worst pain in his life. She took his number and told him to go sit in his car which he did for an hour. His phone then rang once and went dead. He saw the clinic number on the phone so he immediately called back but he was then told he was now 4 or 5 people down on the list because he "didn't answer his phone" and that his wait would be another hour or so. He explained that his phone rang once but she didn't care. He then told her to cancel it due to the extreme pain and he drove himself to the hospital where they rushed him in because he was having a "major heart attack". Lawsuit? Reading the other reviews, I would think the business owner might pay attention and do some house cleaning! Update: I rang the clinic this morning and spoke with the asian lady there. She didn't want to forward my message to the owner of the clinic, who I'd asked to speak to. She said the owner couldn't be reached until Wednesday. I insisted and then she wanted my care card number which I told her she did not need. An hour later I get a call back and the lady who answered was not the owner, it was the receptionist who met my father at the door and tried to contradict my father's story by saying that "he said it was pain under his sternum". I replied that he is not a medical expert and wouldn't know the difference and her reply was "well neither am I and I'm not going to argue with you about this". I also asked if she was aware of the reviews online. She said that she is the manager and is well aware. I wonder if the clinic owner cares?

I suppose all walk-in clinics have become "telephone-in" clinics during Covid times but what about people who don't have a phone? We did have our cell phone with us even though we didn't think it would work outside our home area code. It did but -- alas-- I didn't know its number (we use it so infrequently). And because of that, I was not allowed to talk to a doctor. I suppose the receptionist/gate keeper could have found it from "caller id" but she obviously was not about to do me any favours. When you're panicky and in pain, it would be nice to hear a friendly voice from someone who follows Bonnie Henry's advice to "be kind to each other" but I suspect the receptionist has a very unpleasant job fending off people who don't deserve to be seen at her clinic. It's interesting to be joining all the others who have given this clinic the worst possible rating.

Terrible visit to the doctor. He came in and hardly seemed to care. My friend had a ripped off nail that happened at the channel when she smashed it against a rock and we had it bandaged and he was not gentle at all. He ripped it off and made it worse if anything, then looked at it, said he couldn't do anything more and covered it up with another bandaid. Didn't clean it or sanitize it or anything and didn't seem to care when my friend was crying and screaming in pain. Definitely would not recommend coming here.

The doctors are great and very helpful. The asian receptionist is nasty and unprofessional and the rudest person I've ever dealt with in a healthcare setting, she should not be in that position the way that she speaks to people. The other receptionist is great but whenever I have to deal with this one receptionist it's just hell. She's terrible.

Walk in clinic easy access and easy parking. Always feel satisfied when I don't have an appointment and I actually get to see a physician under a one hour wait. All the doctors seem to be happy in their job and that makes for a pleasant experience.

I just phoned about wait times because I have a bad cold. The receptionist is rude. I also was not put on hold...I could hear her interactions with another patient. I accidentally called twice because there are 2 sites on the internet, I did not realize this and I'm sick...but she was obviously annoyed that I had phoned again...and was snotty about it...I don't know her name...she couldn't be bothered to say it upon the greeting. I won't go to this clinic if this is how patients are treated on the phone...who knows what I'll get greeted with if I actually walk in...not cool.

I'm writing in awe of the conduct of a few Dr's in this clinic. Its shocking it has not been investigated or had its doors closed to protect from the few that are very vulgar & abusive. My wife & I were very concerned after an encounter with a Dr VDW JR. He should not be practicing. His attitudes at his patient without justification, leave you feeling worthless and even in shock. That he diagnosis outside his area of expertise without proper tests, just assumptions.If you try to explain what the qualified specialists have explained while seeking his medical treatment, he becomes very agetated, growling at you as he talks over you not listening to anything you say. Like your worthless & wasting his time. If you are brave enough to question him or his diagnosis watch out. He becomes even worse, attacking your character. Its very disturbing. I would not have this man treat my wife or grandchildren. There is something not right with him. He seems to confident in his comfort of mental & even emotional abuses. To the extreme. When asked if he could explain his behaviors of attitudes that were very inappropriate, he refused. Even going to the extent of attacking her charactor not knowing I was present & listening. I can't imagine the reprecussions this behavior of such vulgar vocal tones & attitude could have for the wrong person needing medical treatment of one who acts and speaks at you in haste. To step outside your qualifications then become abusivly agetated when concern is raised, denying proper medical, and attacking your patient on an assumed personal level? For one with a medical licence makes me really wonder what this world's coming to. That your not even safe to go to a Dr only leave unsettled and fearful. Sharing our experience in our shock & deep concern around town with others, it seems to be a well known practice of this medical clinic. Someone needs to investigate these matters before one gets terrible hurt, or worse. Also, a house Dr should never advise against the diagnosis or treatment of qualified specialists. Especially not knowing the medical history or the patient. A person also has every right to ask questions. Especially when a Dr goes against the practices of specialized Dr's specifically trained in a field far exceeding his. This could prove volatile to the receiving patient.
